Worstmove for me .. My listing lasted 30 days which is the minimum, I had one viewing and one other viewing where no one turned up , I was then encouraged to reduce the price by £10k on an already very reasonable selling price , the existing net yield was 8% , so basically it was a waste of time , I am not giving the property away when it successfully rents out , so whilst some people say they have a positive experience mine was not , they claimed they had hundreds of investors lined up , perhaps they do but it seems they must only be interested in dirt cheap giveaways .
Only you can decide how low you want to go ..
What an amazing company to deal with. Helpful and friendly from start to finish. Completely professional and sold my house in one day.

Absolutely appalling experience with Bettermove from start to finish. We were chain-free, fully ready, and serious buyers, yet the process dragged on for nearly five months due to delays, poor communication, and a complete lack of urgency on the vendor’s side. The property was advertised as freehold, but later turned out to be leasehold, causing further confusion and delay. Throughout, our side, including our solicitor and mortgage adviser, did everything possible to keep things moving while we waited patiently. Despite repeated written assurances from the estate agent that the property was empty, it absolutely was not. On completion day, we arrived to find the house still full of the vendors possessions - furniture, clothes, cutlery, rubbish, personal items - even the loft and shed were packed. We couldn’t move in properly and had to pay ourselves to clear it. The vendors even abandoned their cat. On top of all that two doors was punched and damaged which was not there when we went for the viewing twice.
Afterwards, a friend of the vendors repeatedly turned up around our property without permission, which we reported. Communication from Bettermove has been non-existent since. Enforcement agents later attended our new home regarding significant debts linked to the previous owners. This raises serious questions about due diligence and how this sale was handled. The whole experience has cost us thousands of pounds, months of lost time, huge stress, and even injury while clearing a property that should have been handed over empty. We are now pursuing legal action to recover our losses and seek appropriate compensation. This should not be allowed to happen to anyone else. I would not recommend Bettermove.
UPDATE (Response to Bettermove’s reply):
Your response does not reflect our experience and omits several key facts.
You state the property was simply “freehold.” That is misleading. The property was subject to a covenant/third-party issue that caused months of delays and uncertainty. We only managed to complete after lengthy negotiations and after the vendor eventually agreed to resolve the issue. We have the documentary evidence to support this.
You also state that you acted in good faith regarding vacant possession. Regardless of who made the promise, we collected the keys to a property that was still full of the seller’s belongings. We had to pay for waste removal, spend an entire day clearing the house with family and friends, and during the clearance I suffered a serious hand injury that affected my ability to work. That was our reality.
As for the enforcement agents attending our home because of debts connected to the previous owners, you may say that responsibility lies elsewhere, but from a buyer’s perspective this was part of the overall experience we had after purchasing a property through Bettermove. Instead of receiving meaningful support, we were left to deal with the consequences ourselves.
I also disagree with your statement that you continued to assist us. We repeatedly asked for a goodwill contribution towards the costs we incurred, but nothing was resolved. Rory had an opportunity to settle this matter amicably, but instead our concerns were dismissed, and I found his attitude unprofessional.
We have retained all correspondence, documents, photographs, receipts, and evidence relating to this transaction. As this matter is now being pursued through the appropriate legal channels, I will allow the evidence to speak for itself.
This review is an honest account of our experience, and I stand by every part of it.
