I am totally dissatisfied with this side I bought a dog trailer for a bike around $130 only to find when opened it's was damaged in many places the offered 20 %refund which I refused so the said bin we will send another on opening the second one same issues total waste of money and time never again just a nightmare

Damaged / refurbished items sold as new.

I ordered two Akai monitors for my home worstation. One of them was new and working perfectly. The other had several defects and damages (dead pixels, scratches on the display, and damaged VESA mount screw hole) and was clearly not a new item. Very disappointed.

BIG W Marketplace & Fresh Cosmetics - Never, ever again!

Unfortunately, I will never buy anything again through Big W Marketplace. I've had probably one of the worst experiences when doing any purchase, either in store or online. I was looking for a specific perfume, a fragrance, uh, to purchase, um, and Big W Marketplace shown to have it available. So I decided to purchase two because it's not easy to find, and um no problems, no nothing, um, when I did the purchase. One week's gone, two weeks gone. At the third week, I received the tracking number from the reseller. The vendor that Big W uses to deal with. Unfortunately, the experience from that point onwards was horrible. The tracking number and the goods have never been delivered. After many emails, phone calls, more than one month, dealing with Big W and attention, customer service for Big W was fantastic, but dealing with this vendor with the name of Fresh Cosmetics and me saying, I still want the goods, Fresh Cosmetics people stay away from them. They don't have the product in-house. You pay and they order after from whoever, whatever, and came to a point that I threatened them with consumer affairs after they wanted my product and this fresh cosmetics business was just horrible. And to silence me, they ended up refunding the goods. So, I'll say this, for Big W marketplace or Big W stores, never again, because you should choose properly the people you wanna do business with. Regarding this fresh cosmetics business, it is simply embarrassing, shameful. You guys are a disgrace. Businesses like yours should be shut down by the people of power, the people that can make those sort of decisions, because you guys are a disgrace. I could leave attached the many emails that I have to prove that what I'm saying is accurate!

Great experience with Big W…

Great experience with Big W Marketplace.

Bought myself a musical keyboard that was on special for about 30% cheaper than other local retail / online stores.

I got it delivered within 48 hours. Item in perfect brand new condition.

It was my first purchase on Big W Marketplace. I was sceptical at first after reading many poor reviews on Big W Marketplace but my purchase was great, couldn't be better.

Paid around $280 instead of $400+ at other places. Fast delivery.

I orders a recliner couch for my dad to be delivered to his house. The delivery driver dropped the boxes at the front door then was leaving. My dad asked if he could put them inside his house due to being elderly and can not do this himself. The delivery driver shrugged his shoulders and left. My dad had the delivery outside of his house. I had to arrange someone to go and move the item into the house for him till I got there to fix it for him. Shame on the delivery driver for not being considerate and not putting the boxes inside his house. I am totally disgusted. I reported this to their head office . They gave me $15 back for bring inconvenienced. They said the case was closed. But that is not good enough. As this can happen again to soneone else who is elderly. Im still waiting to hear what happened to the delivery driver. Shame on your delivery drivers Big W.

As others have said. Terrible service. I ordered fridge water filters, they are supposed to be for my model fridge as described. They don't fit, I tried to return them and the "suport" had me doing 400 trouble shooting things and then refused to take them back. I had watch 3 different videos. I won't be buying for Big W market again. I had to throw out $65 worth of filters. I had to have something like 6 emails back and forth with videos and "hacks" to try.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware! Do not ever use big W or affiliated companies online marketplace platform!

I don't think there could be a worst experience. First was the original shipping estimate that then very quickly resulted in notices of shipping delays. Went from 2 weeks estimate to actual shipping of 4 weeks. The unit that was received was faulty (it was small step down transformer) and didn't work at all.

The only process that was available was to being a support ticket which supposedly connected you to the seller. The seller then proceeded to tell you to prove by taking videos and photos that the unit does not work. The onus is on the buyer to prove that the unit doesn't work and delaying messages of trying different ways of switching the unit 'on' (there was only 1 switch that supposedly lit up when the unit is switched on if it was a working unit).

If the buyer and seller are not able to come to a resolution (namely if the seller doesn't want to admit the unit was faulty or a dud) you can only then escalate by another ticket to Big W Support.

If you are someone like me and are time poor and don't want to be dealing with constantly creating tickets and proving that something was faulty to begin with, I recommend staying away from the Big W marketplace and online platforms. Trying to return the item was difficult and time consuming.

Avoid Big W Marketplace- neither Big W nor the sellers care at all

wish I had of joined trustpilot earlier & read all of the reviews about Big W Marketplace before I also fell victim to their bad service & dodgy online sellers. Use the long time online companies who have better systems in place to protect their customers. My scam- I had found some headphones to purchase form KG superstore which advertised they were only available online only- could not be collected from a store. I was given option to add to cart which I did. I then downloaded a big w gift voucher to use to purchase them & when I then tried to go further the cart now said could not be delivered to my suburb.- I live metro sydney. I tried numerous australian metro suburbs & continued to receive the same response. Basically it appears they are out of stock & yet they continue to advertise otherwise. when I reached out to Big W & requested I wanted a refund on my gift card as there is nothing else I want to buy, their response was not their problem. They are allowing these stores to advertise dishonestly & they just dont care.

Massive delay in delivery

Ordered some simple garage shelves on 27-Mar. As far as I am concerned, I ordered from Big W as one order, yet they split it into two orders. 20 days later, there's only one portion delivered and I already left a review about that delivery, where Hunter Express just dumped the damaged package in front of my building. But the second part has not arrived yet and there are no meaningful updates on the tracking site.

Why can’t Big W deliver goods from the place where the order originated, i.e. Perth in this case. It is hardly some exclusive and rare furniture! Why do they have to deliver that FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CONTINENT?! And with tracking “updates” just stuck in limbo, forever “in transit” with no other info, and some bogus arrival dates that make no sense. If it arrived to WA on 8-Apr, why has it still not been delivered on the 16-Apr???

Do not buy ANYTHING from Big W…

I won't buy from Big W Marketplace again too many bad experiences. But I like Big W and go in store to but a lot. I've always had a really positive experience with Woolworths supermarkets and Big W I just don't know why they let these no name small time sellers operate on their online system there are some really dodgy sellers on there stating 3 business days for delivery when it's a two week minimum. Others selling products they don't even have in their warehouse and can't even get. It's extremely stressful and poor to non existent customer service. I had them hanging up on me multiple times mid call. Called back took 12 business days to find out not only had they not sent out the earbuds but they didn't even have any to send out as the customer service agent revealed during the call. Different to delays in delivery like they had told me. After shopping online regularly for more than a decade I've never had experiences worth complaining about before I used this site.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. Bought an induction cooktop online that arrived faulty. Even though it’s been less than two weeks, Big W wants me to pay the return shipping costs, which are massive compared to the item's price. Terrible return policy for defective goods. I won't be buying from them online again. 😞
