The experience was good, with quick responses to emails. However, after I emailed inquiring about the status of my suitcase, they only replied after I had already sent an email asking if they had any... See more

I hope to change my opinion/rating
I am updating my rating from 1 to 2 as eventually after contacting the travel agent account manager my filing was found and here they offered a refund. My bags did arrive after 36 hours but got no assistance from BRB. I wanted to try this myself before recommending to customers, but will not as do not want to manage the headache of trying to communicate with black hole again.
to change my opinion/rating, but for the first time using this service to help track my missing bags, finding zero service and extra frustration on top of missing my luggage. It is purposefully circuitous, seems designed to waste enough customer time that they give up. No human on the phone. Phone system says that you will get a text confirming, no SMS arrives. SMS is also sending a webform link (according to the voice message - I have not received it yet) Webform portal does not accept report - as it cannot find the confirmation number that I received from BlueRibbon Bags matching the PNR and asks to submit to email MBR - blueribbonbags , This email sends out an automatic response informing that this email is not for reporting and must go to the website form or phone to report.

Don’t waste your time with them
Don’t waste your time with them. Like any insurance company that claims ‘satisfaction guarantee’ they just want your initial business and will do everything possible to ensure they don’t have to pay out or have to track your bag. The language and communication from customer service is shocking also.
I can not open the link.

Bring elderly we found for the first time how easy it was to do the booking. Well displayed formate.
Misleading Baggage Insurance and Frustrating Claim Process
I had a very frustrating experience. I purchased their baggage insurance using trip.com. When my bag didn’t arrive, the claim process was unnecessarily complicated and seemed intentionally designed to delay or deny the claim.
At the time of purchase, there was no mention that the claim had to be filed within 24 hours. Only after my bag was lost I started seeing this condition EVERYWHERE, in emails and on their site, saying that if a claim isn’t filed within 24 hours, it won’t be processed.
Initially, I reached out to Trip.com support. They said I could email Blue Ribbon Bags or file a report on their website. I did both.
First, I emailed with ALL the details, only to be told that emails weren’t accepted and I had to file via the website.
So I submitted the report online. Despite providing all key details, I was then asked again via pop-up to send additional info via email, or my claim wouldn’t be processed. I sent it promptly.
Later, I received another email (with poor timing) giving me just one more hour to resend something they could have easily extracted from the original form by combining two fields.
It honestly felt like they were deliberately stalling just to push me past the 24-hour window, which would void the $1,000 coverage.
Very disappointing and gives the impression this service is more of a trap than actual support. I wouldn’t recommend it.
can be worth it
responsive, supportive, and proactive during stressful luggage incidents
We've had several cases of suitcases…
We've had several cases of suitcases lost by the airline, and Blue Ribbon always responds immediately and follows up on the claim. They are very punctual in their responses and always advise us on how to best communicate with the airline.
Blue Ribbon Bags not Westjet.com
We paid for our booking with a Westjet Mastercard. This would normally give us free luggage. The only option provided was Blueribbonbags which charged us a considerable fee for two Bags
We expect to correct this at check-in.
Not a good experience!
Really helpful in getting my bag back
My bag got delayed on the way to New York and they were really helpful at getting it forwarded on to me there. The frequent email updates were also really nice as it meant I knew what was going on.
Great service
Great service. Courteous staff. And very helpful. Held our hands through entire process.
Would highly recommend

Don’t ever travel without BRB
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to for this one. I bought Blue Ribbon Bags coverage before a recent international flight—just a few bucks, and they say they’ll pay you $1,000 if your bag doesn’t show up in 4 days. I honestly didn’t expect to need it.
Well… my bag didn’t make it. I called the airline a dozen times, got nowhere. But BRB was on it. They tracked the bag, emailed me updates, and when it still hadn’t arrived after 4 days, they actually sent me the $1,000. No fighting, no fine print nonsense. I eventually got my bag after I returned home two weeks later…but at least I had $1000 to spend on replacement clothing.
It was such a relief to have someone else dealing with the chaos. I’ll never travel without it again.
I lost my bag and the airline was…unhelpful
I lost my bag and the airline was unable to help, but thank God I have a ribbon Because they found it within 36 hours!
