A company with no care for loyalty
I have been with boxymo for two years now. It was very affordable when I was just transitioning into new driver status and had no previous insurance but of course had the drawbacks of a black box. The price in my second year was very affordable compared to other insurers, however now coming to my renewal date it is clear they do not care about customer loyalty. The insurance renewal quote I received doubled compared to last year (even though I have received no penalty points and have made no claims) and their customer service leaves much to be desired. The price I received with a black box from them as a driver with two years of no claims bonus was not indicative of the current market and I found multiple other insurance company’s with the black box that halved boxymo price (and several insurance companies that matched boxymo with no black box).

We are sorry to hear you have not had a positive experience in dealing with your renewal. Unfortunately due to insurance rates changing daily the price can raise or fall, we do regularly check the market to ensure we can bring the best prices to our customers. Even with no claims or penalty points other rating factors can affect the price.

Going into my 3rd year with BOXYMO and have nothing bad to say the service is amazing and since changing from a learner driver to fully licensed I still have not changed insurance as they are so easy and quick.

As an online insurance company our main method of contact is via our Online Chat Service, this facility is accessed via our website and allows you to instant message with an advisor with any queries you may have. While we do not accept incoming calls, we do currently have a call back request system in place for our Call Centre team to contact you, these call back requests are returned within 24-48 hours and can be requested through our online chat facility. All call backs are processed in date and time order to be fair to all customers, at busy periods the call wait time may vary.
