Purchased a Series 7 electric shaver 18 weeks ago. In the last month it’s been tipping my skin. Tried changing the settings, without any effect. I realised that only two of the three cutting blades... See more

Terrible (Series 7 shaver)
Terrible, got the Braun series 7 shaver for christmas and it is the worst shaver you could get, absolutely awful, doesn't shave your face at all, for 130 pounds this is a joke. this company are awful, avoid at all costs! Braun are a scam. Use brain over braun and avoid this company
Hand mixer wrong part included
I had ordered and received a hand mixer. Unfortunately, they shipped an incorrect part with the mixer and as such the mixer is useless. I called Customer Support and gave the agent the part number. First it seems he was not even familiar with the part that I was referring to and was not willing to listen. He said that if I wanted to order the part I would have to pay for it. I have to pay for their mistake!
Will never buy any Braun product again and would not recommend to anyone.
Exasperating
The Braun Oral B electric toothbrush (I can't give a model number since none is to be seen anywhere) is a nightmare. The buttons to open the battery compartment don't work, even when the toothbrush is brand new. It has to be prised open with a paperknife or the like, whereupon the batteries fly about the room. And then connection fails even with new batteries, so all one has is a non-electric toothbrush.
Update. Mine no longer works at all. No wonder the product is described online as 'insane'.
I have been using Braun shavers for 50…
I have been using Braun shavers for 50 years. Recently purchased a series 7 shaver. It’s a piece of junk. Worst shave ever. Braun shavers have gone down hill. Don’t waste your money on this shaver. Sorry I didn’t read the reviews before purc.
I had a very bad experience with them
I had a very bad experience with them. First, stay away from their IO toothbrushes, l bought and IO 8 yet after 2 months the battery started to die so quickly but what’s worse is their customer service, which is nonexistent. So if you want to get it repaired it’s so difficult to reach them and normal customer service doesn’t do it. Second, they got the toothbrush and repaired but they never sent me a tracking number or anything l learned that it was sent but even the Royal Mail didn’t leave a note, l learned it on my own after asking a few times. Please stay away, l will try to actually seek my rights and sue them, cause l do not even trust the repair after this point.
Easiest repair/exchange
I don’t write a review very often, but I need to express how happy I was with Braun service. I sent in my defect, electric toothbrush, and within a week I already had a new replacement. I had some bad experience with other companies recently, so this was a very positive one, and I want to be sure it’s known
Great job!
Bought a beard trimmer
Bought a beard trimmer. Did not suit me ,it did not give an even trim. Spent hours waiting for different members of customer "service", my a.. to talk about it. Basically they refuse to accept a return on an item bought at distance on line from their website within 14 days. Don't they know about consumer law in the UK? Absolutley useless.Give Braun a miss.
Braun customer service is the worst…
Braun customer service is the worst I've experienced.
Purchased a trimmer on the fact it advertised on braun website that it had a certain lenght comb. When it arrived the comb was not included. Contacted customer service who asked for a whole load of irrelevant info that would have been on my order if they looked. My goodness, what followed was unbelievable. They said they couldn't help and fobbed me off to another dept, when I contacted that dept they emailed asking me a question but the email couldn't be responded to! Overall completely useless. I doubt anyone actually reads emails properly they certainly are not trained in any way in customer service. Shockingly bad.
Best of luck getting factory replacement parts
$350 series 9pro shaver worked great for 6 months, then try to get the correct replacement parts directly from Braun, what a joke, im shitcanning this thing and going back to Phillips
Please read the reviews before purchasing...
Please read the reviews before purchasing from Braun as they are true!
I reported a faulty toothbrush handle within warranty and followed the procedure on my end. As they couldn't repair my toothbrush handle, they sent me a so called upgrade in the form of just a handle - NO CHARGER OR HEAD which was incompatible with my existing charger or toothbrush heads. This followed 6 phone calls during my lunch break each lasting 30-40 minutes over a course of two weeks to the following people: BUSHRA, MOHAMMED, DALE, CHRIS and then a manager called OLIVIA. When I highlighted they had clearly not followed their policies by sending me a just a toothbrush handle I couldn't use without the correct charger or brush heads, OLIVIA insisted they had followed the policy. To add insult to injury, I was told to go and purchase a charger and ask Braun to refund it. Now if Braun can't send it out because they don't have it in stock then what hope have I got of obtaining one!? Then the lies began, I was told my previous toothbrush model wasn't available then all of a sudden it was and then held to ransom until I sent back the so called upgrade before they give me anything. I asked OLIVIA to escalate this to a complaint as they weren't fulfilling the warranty and by now I didn't have a toothbrush for a month due no fault of my own. She said there was nobody above her to complain to and the complaint would be dealt with by her or her colleague. Nobody is in charge of OLIVIA. She also wouldn't tell me how I could complain about the awful service I had received. I was told I would be sent toothbrush heads as an apology but nothing received two weeks on.
Absolutely useless
Purchased Braun S3 to replace my old one instead of renewing cutter which had worn.
It now takes three times as long to shave and my face is still rough and sore. It clogs up after a couple of shaves. Absolutely useless. Will not buy another Braun.
They devise quite good and quality…
They devise quite good and quality technics.
I know that my girlfriend cherished their hair dryers because it had many regimes and other features which I don't understand, actually.
Anyway, Braun are considered to be those guys that produce technics for years. That hair dryer served her about several years until we just bought another model. I presume it could have served as for many years more.
don't buy braun
purchased a braun 5s but the foil only lasted a few months ,put a claim in , told me to buy a replacement and they would refund , never received the receipt , they will not refund without ? asked to contact customer services and they will sort , could take up to 48 hrs still waiting for copy invoice 132 hrs later still no response, trying to sort out now for 1 month, no one takes ownership of problem UPDATE now 21st oct original complaint made 12 th sept still trying to obtain refund , they have all paper work requested finally received my refund they have a service department that don’t offer any and a customer care team who’s motto is we have them and dont
I have a Braun shaver :)
I have a Braun shaver and it last much longer as I expected, I only have to charge once a week. My skin is also smooth after shaving and absolute not sensitive. Mylady said it feels as a baby skin.
I love it.
Braun……Whatever happened ?
Having sported a beard for the last 53 years, I have owned and used quite a number of beard and hair trimmers, including ones from Remington, Phillips and Wahl. I felt slightly let down with the last appliance from Phillips as the rechargeable battery began to fail after about 3-4 years. I had also actually owned a Braun foil shaver decades ago but couldn’t recall whether I’d found it good or bad, so thought I’d give their 5513 model a try. What a huge mistake !!
One of the “comb” type attachments is adjustable, with markings on it showing 3,5,7,9 and 11, which I assumed meant depth in millimetres. ( The instructions are woefull. ) For shorter requirements, there is a separate attachment stamped “2mm.” On the appliance’s first tryout, my wife began trimming my hair with the adjustable comb set on the minimum of 3mm. ( At 73 years, it has to be said I don’t actually have a great deal of hair. ) This attachment didn’t seem to be doing much in the way of trimming with the absence of the “buzz” that’s usually heard as the hairs are clipped. So we changed over to the 2mm comb. Second big mistake. We found that it was almost like using a cut-throat razor and seemed to start seriously scalping no matter how careful we were. So 3mm doesn’t cut the hair but 2mm scalps your head !! How does that come about with a 1mm difference ?
The instructions were lacking as to charging requirements so I phoned Braun UK and of course got a call centre abroad. Prior to the first cut the unit had to be charged for 10 hours, which to be fair is usually the case with most rechargeable trimmers. But thereafter, subsequent charges of the 5513 also need to be 10 hours and with no sort of capacity indication, you can’t tell when the charge is starting to run out, so you can quite feasibly end up with half a haircut. Also some trimmers will gradually run down in speed, giving you an indication that the battery is starting to get low. Not with this thing. It stops dead !!! I asked Braun if it was possible to leave it on a “trickle” charge and was firmly told not to leave it charging for more than the 10 hours.
As for the beard trimming, it’s abysmal. With my previous Philips groomer, I would find that if I’d trimmed my beard on say a Monday, apart from appearing longer by about Thursday, it would still look fairly tidy. With this Braun device, it would look “sort of OK” on day one, but by 2 days later it would be looking scraggy and unkempt, with shallow and deep areas everywhere and stray whiskers all over the place. And this has nothing to do with technique. I’ve had over 50 years of practice. So here we’re talking about yet another utterly inferior product made in the PRC. The west deserves all it gets for going down this road !!
I’ve just binned the 5513 ( Boots the Chemist would undoubtedly refused to take this back as there are hygiene factors involved. ) I’ve gone back to Philips - an MG 5720. And what a difference. It has done a proper job of beard and hair trimming from the word go. Sad how Braun, a former manufacturer of quality products for approaching a century has been diminished by having the Chinese take over their production.
Braun used to be a good German company…
Braun used to be a good German company but everything has gone down hill since Procter & Gamble bought it. I spent £250 on a Braun electric toothbrush but after a couple of months it wasn't as powerful as it was in the beginning. It has a 2 year warranty and I bought it two months ago so when I rang them I expected them to just replace it free of charge. Was shocked when they told me I would have to send it back to them to investigate and repair. I said I would have no toothbrush while they did that so they said they would send me a voucher to buy a £9 toothbrush as a replacement for the £250 faulty electric toothbrush while they spend weeks or months investigating it. Unbelievable!
Avoid this company cheap products worse customer service
Bought braun series 7 returned it straight away as the quality was poor and didnt work properly. Got a refund for the replacement head I bought aswell after a few weeks but not the shaver. Still chasing refund after about 4 months. Been passes from one department to another trying to chase it. Absolute shocking customer service
Terrible service
Terrible service. Online contact has not been available as advertised. Emails are not acted on. Freephone service takes approximately 40 minutes to connect and my call has then been dropped twice on connection.
When I finally got through, I was instructed to buy my own spare part for my in warrenty product. They said they would then refund. Following another painful 40 minutes on hold, the representative said she had issued the PayPal refund. Guess what? No refund in my account. I certainly will NOT buy Braun products again.
Junk Razor/Horrible Customer Service
First, if I could leave 0 stars I would but one will have to do. I've had a Series 5 razor for a year and 9 months and the motor started to slow down significantly. I had to make 12 calls before I was able to speak to someone. Their customer service line kept disconnecting me repeatedly. Once I reached someone Braun refused to stand behind the product because it was a gift and I had no receipt. They said that the production date was too long ago for them to stand behind. The funny thing is they don't allow you to register the product when purchased or received so the consumer is screwed. I have owned Braun razors since 1989 and always liked them but no more. I even talked to someone at a repair center and the tech guys said the Braun razors are junk now. They use cheap parts that fall apart quite often and he even suggested I buy a different brand versus wasting money on their product. Sad to see this product and company fall like this.
SERIES 7, Rubbish replacement blades
Bought a series 7 shaver 2 years ago , very expensive! It worked well on the first blade , but the replacements are rubbish, don't last any time at all , and at £35 a time braun are having a laugh. I am finished with braun, look elsewhere.
