I've been using this app for the last six months and had nothing but great experiences. Lenders are super responsive and kind. Love knowing i am wearing a special piece for a fraction of the price.

This is the worst experience I have ever had dealing with customer support. My wife rented a dress which arrived clearly fake. The dress had no branded tags and the wash tag listed a completely different material composition from the original.

Once the lender was contacted they provided a receipt for the dress and didn’t realise the receipt they provided was for a dress size SMALL when on the app it was listed as MEDIUM and the tag was MEDIUM.

We sent the dress back on the same day and emailed customer support with the evidence and since have had no response from the customer service over 2 weeks.

Today after all our emails were ignored we got an email asking to pay a further amount on top of the £50 rental fee that we didn’t even use as the dress was reported as not received.

The package was shipped same day and tracked and we have proof of tracking and the buyer receiving the dress but by rotation has ignored all communications, allowed a clearly fake dress to be rented and charged as further money.

Avoid this site at all costs, stick to Depop, Vinted and eBay!

I had my Hermes Oran Sandals stolen by one of the users, she took them for 2 months to Ibiza and ruined them, byrotation asked to report it to the police, which I did and when she eventually sent them back they were absolutely disgusting, leather all came off them. The police said she also stole other items. I never had any compensation for the damage, £670 write off, byrotation said that they would pay for repairs however they are in non repairable condition... DO NOT LEND!

Made thousands of pounds over the years by renting out my clothes while reducing my new purchases. Well done for creating this genius app and concept.

I actually hate the fact that I’ve disabled push notifications for both social and marketing within the app but I’m still receiving them. It puts me off from using the app and I’ve considered closing my account and uninstalling

My dress was returned ruined. ByRotation have not paid me back despite trying to contact them on numerous occasions.

I’m a lender renting out designer bags on byRotation. Someone rented a Chanel bag I bought then for £4k but has a value of £6k now. Renter received the bag, used it and apparently returned it via Royal Mail. The tracking number the renter sent never even left the post office or was registered. Turns out that the same renter “lost” another designer bag from a different lender.

Allthough I gave byRotation the receipt of the bag, they decided that the renter only needs to pay back 499£ (which was the PRP I put on the listing as recommended by other lenders on the platform to increase rentals). I’ve mentioned all these to the customer service with receipts, gotten in touch with even the CEO who just gave me a lackadaisical response.

This happened in May 2024. After a dozen of emails and chase ups, CS concluded her repayments to 83£ a month for 6 months… A Chanel bag! It took months for the first instalment to roll in and on top of that, the renter isn’t paying frequently. This is an obvious scam. I’m sure that byRotation has insurances for those situations and they could’ve refunded me as mentioned in their FAQ’s.

It’s December now and I’ve received 3 payments so far, with no apology from either byRotation nor the renter.

They make it look like they’re a community but they’re not. If you’re not ready to loose your valuables to scammers, stay away!

Booked a dress for rental 4+ months prior to the event. The day before the dress was due to arrive (two days before the event) the renter told me the dress wasn't available. Seriously disapointing as I had to rush around the day before trying to find something else to wear. Didn't get refunded the full amount and couldn't even leave the seller a poor review - she had over 100 5 star ratings but its because orders that are cancelled and refunded aren't able to be reviewed. Will never use this website again
