Prince Alfred Carehome
From the moment we entered Prince Alfred's, we knew this would be the place for our mum. Staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming. The home has a lovely atmosphere, with a beautiful conservatory and garden where residents can spend much of the day. Rooms are nice and clean, and the home generally has a very positive aura about it.

Talking to a person who had sympathy and expertise. She listened carefully and sent me a list of local carehomes that offered palliative care. She took away the burden of having to do all the research myself. As a result my father was looked after by wonderful staff and died peacefully with his family around him

A very helpful service
We were looking for a care home for our
Mum who has Parkinson’s and dementia at quite short notice and reached out to carehome.co.uk for help as this was something we were unfamiliar with. We found their service really helpful and they suggested many care homes for us which we may not have found without their help.
We are awaiting a decision on one particular care home atm.
It is a truly valuable service for people like my sister and I as we didn’t know where to start!

I have raised series concerns about a Care home and even after they confirmed my identity foe the review, they purposely ignored my honest review. Ignoring healthand safety is bad itself, imagine how worse is closing your eyeson it, this is a shame. Do not trust this website.

Do your own homework when finding a care home for your loved one
A very long discussion with a lovely call handler about my mums care needs.
I was sent some information on care homes to consider (same info on their website nothing new) all of which I had previously checked and contacted the homes directly!
A week or two later I received an email as to ‘how my search was going’ ?, I replied “not found a home yet, still searching” . The response was …. “I’ll close things on our side for now as you continue your search.”
Wow great service !!! I’ve still not found anywhere and no further support!!
My suggestion (as I have done) do the work yourself as everything you need to know about individual care homes is on their website, don’t waste your time and energy talking to people that aren’t offering a service that is any different or enhanced….contact the homes directly.
Be prepared for multiple phone calls as to feedback, progress and how do we do!? with a tick box of questions and answers.

Absolutely brilliant
Absolutely brilliant at finding some excellent homes in the area I requested for my father. Homes were contacted by them and I had emails the same day from homes with vacancies in the area. Very friendly and removed some of the stress.
