I purchased a notebook from Cash converter at Modbury store on Tuesday, I always look online before I buy its very convenient as I'm a parapligic when I see something online I always ask for more pictures as I'm about 15km from the Modbuy store so its a taxi trip for me, I purchased the notebook online and store pick up. This is my 2nd large purchase from the modbury store and the item was exactly as the add said the staff were wonderful and being in a wheelchair I like to have a look in store incase there's something i missed, the modbuy store was very tidy and items clean and well payed out, I was surprised how friendly the staff were everyone of them, the. notebook I didn't haft to do a thing to it just signed into my MS acc load stuff I use and ithas not missed a beat, its a HP Victus gaming notebook in mint condition so I'm very pleased with it, I will buy again and I'd recommend there store

I applied to Cash Converters after reading their advertising that suggested they help people with less-than-perfect credit and consider more than just a credit score. Unfortunately, my application was declined, which left a hard credit enquiry on my Equifax file.

At the time, I didn’t understand the long-term impact that a hard credit enquiry could have on my ability to obtain mainstream finance. Had I known, I would never have applied.

After learning more about the credit reporting system, I contacted Cash Converters and explained my circumstances, asking if they would consider a one-off goodwill removal of the enquiry. My request was declined. In contrast, several other lenders I contacted later reviewed my circumstances and agreed to remove correctly recorded enquiries as gestures of goodwill.

I respect that every lender has different policies, but I was disappointed that Cash Converters was unwilling to exercise the same discretion in my case. My experience has made me much more cautious about applying for credit, and I’d encourage anyone considering an application to fully understand how a hard credit enquiry may affect their credit file before proceeding.
