Had our heat pump installed in December 2024. It was the last day as CB heating and first day as EDF heating. They were great fitting us in before Christmas, the installation team were quick and tidy and the system is delivering over 4 COP so we’re are extremely happy with the service and product. Can’t recommend them enough.

When I first decided that I wanted to install a heat pump in my house, I wasn't at all sure about what the process would involve. I chose CB Heating because they had extensive experience in that area, and am pleased to say that they guided me well through the process. They arranged the survey, the design process and the actual installation, as well as visits from an energy assessor to provide an Energy Performance Certificate and an electrician to install an isolator before installation began.
The installers, led by Mark Cranmer, were here for three days and inevitably there was disruption, and I was without hot water for a day, but they kept me informed about what they were doing and cleaned up after themselves each day. There was a hiccup over delievery of the materials - I was initially told that they would be delivered a week or so before installation, and the driver duly arrived, only to then be told by his boss that he couldn't unload anything until the installers were present. So, he had to come back again on the first day of the installation. But the installation then proceeded on schedule. Throughout the whole process, Phoebe Matthews kept me informed about what was happening - and she was there to answer the phone when the problem over delivery became apparent.
The installation coincided with the start of warmer spring weather, so I can't tell yet whether the heat pump will heat the house effectively when needed. Nor can I get much idea yet of the running costs. But it has been working and supplying hot water for over three months now, without any obvious problems.

Great experience from start to finish, especially Jennifer Humphrey who demonstrated the different heat pumps available. Lana Barrett kept in touch all the way through the process & answered any questions as they came up. Fitting team arrived at exact time & date as was agreed. Well done EDF heat pumps.

The installation of our Ideal HP590 monobloc heat pump by the preferred installers for EDF - DMR heating and plumbing was first class - from Dan who did the survey through Daryl and Ben who worked hard quickly and the pipe work is an absolute masterclass - any issues were rapidly sorted and nothing was too much trouble - the device itself has been thoroughly tested from a hot water side and it is just as good as our old gas system for heat ( with the added benefit of having a cool place to stand during the heat waves in wales just like an outdoor aircon system) - the staff at EDF were also polite responsive and helpful - thumbs up all round - Ed North Wales

A year ago CB Heating (EDF arm for air source heat pump installations) did a really good job of installing a High Temp Air Heat Source pump, from design to installation everything went smoothly, they assured me that they would stand by me for any warranty and servicing and has performed really well through the winter months, all very good.
However, it's come to the time where the system needs it's first annual service, I contacted customer care via email, they responded we don't do servicing you'll have to contact Daikin here's the telephone number goodbye! I was somewhat mifed with this attitude, but contacted Daikin as stated. Daikin responded that the system had not be registered with them and now because I haven't had a service within the year the 5 year warranty is also void, until it's registered they wouldn't give me any contact details of a servicing agent in my location! I'm furious that the system hasn't been registered by CB Heating and even more angry that CB Heating won't service their own installations and have invalidated the warranty even though they said that they would stand by me post installation. To rub salt into the wound the system has now developed a fault and is leaking water over the roof space and no longer works. I have no idea who is going to service this white elephant because there doesn't seem to be anyone in my location willing to do it.
I always say that you don't know how good a business is until you need aftercare or a warranty claim and how they resolve the issue. I'll leave it to the reader of this review to consider what I have said and to make their own mind up if they would like to hand over £13-14,000 to CB Heating and have little to no post installation back up when required.
*UPDATE: After I wrote this review CB Heating immediately contacted me and were very apologetic for what had happened. First of all they quickly organised an engineer to repair the system, within a few days it was running as smoothly as it usually does. They then contacted Daikin to resolve the the annual service agreement and reinstate the 7 year extended warranty. At every stage I have been reliably telephoned and emailed by Danny Tracey, I couldn't have asked for more, he was understanding, supportive and totally brilliant with getting the issues sorted.
Summary: My view of CB Heating, well all companies can fail at customer service from time to time, I guess it was my turn this time, but it's how they support you when things go wrong that defines how good a company is. Would I recommend them, I really would, they have supported me through what was a frustrating moment where I had doubts about them and my choices. The title of this review will remain because CB Heating came through with the support when I really needed them, well done!

From Kerrin at the sales end, to Jason at the survey stage through to installation by Braydon ( maynechoiceplumbing) the process was very well managed with clear explanations, expectation setting and enough flexibility to come up with a fitting installation. Ramya was the central point of contact and overall coordinator that made the process feel extremely professional and significantly exceed expectations. Since installation in April 2025 the weather has been so good that the heating has only kicked in occasionally but effectively and noticeably. However for hot water it has been perfect, also allowing us to remove some older noisy bathroom water pumps as now on a high pressure system.

Having had a terrible experience installing a ground source heat pump the experience with Ramya and EDF couldn't have been better. Everything was clearly explained and then delivered as described. My only complaint was that I had to provide the slab/base for the ASHP myself. It would have been much better and a complete service if EDF could have organised that as it needed to be absolutely flat which is a higher standard than most DIY people can manage!

CB heating, now EDF heating was a pleasure to deal with. I was constantly kept up to date with information and work proceedings. The whole process of having a heat pump installed was easy and efficient.
The follow up service was also excellent. In particular Ramya was very helpful.
I would strongly recommend this company.

Everyone involved were really helpful from office to tradespeople . Everything was explained to us as non technical types 😙 so was very grateful for that !
Ramya checked in intermittently to make sure all was well …thank you .
Would give 5 stars but obviously heating not tested thoroughly yet due to the Summer months continuing
But I am sure all will be great and if needed they will not hesitate to help us .

Just had a 4-day installation of an air source heat pump and 250L hot water tank completed by Chris, Ashley, and Tom from 21 Degree Heating, working on behalf of CB Heating (EDF)—and I’m absolutely thrilled with the result.
Their attention to detail was second to none. Every part of the install and setup was handled with care and precision, and they took the time to ensure everything was running perfectly. They went the extra mile to minimise external trunking for pipes and cables, which made a huge difference to the overall finish. The house was kept immaculately clean and tidy, and their communication was excellent throughout—friendly, professional, and always happy to explain the process.
It’s rare to come across a team this dedicated and skilled. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 21 Degree Heating and CB Heating (EDF) to anyone looking for a top-quality installation. Huge thanks to Chris, Ashley, and Tom—you’ve done a fantastic job!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Service from EDF!
I had a fantastic experience with EDF from start to finish. The team recently installed heat pumps for me, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole process, special thanks to Sylvia Shearing from EDF Heat Pumps, she’s great support, very professional and worked hard to allocate an installer in my area to fit my tight schedule, promptly responded to my questions and resolved them in friendly and professional manner.
The communication was clear and professional throughout, and the engineers were not only skilled but also friendly, respectful, and tidy. They explained everything clearly and took real care in their work. The installation was smooth, efficient, and completed to a high standard.
I’m already noticing the difference in comfort, and I feel confident knowing everything was done properly. A huge thank you to the entire EDF team — highly recommended!

The lads fitting the system did a great job, arriving when stated, kept interruptions to the heating and hot water to a minimum (January Fitting) and communicated operating instructions well. There was a slight hiccup in the supply of parts which was resolved after a few phone calls. Initial contact was with sales team and then passed on to Phoebe who handled the rest of my queries well, Sophie in design was also helpful, overall impressed with set up.
There ASHP will hopefully come into its own this winter as the first period was spent setting up its schedules, fingers crossed I’ve got it right now

Overall good experience and really pleased with the outcome but with a couple of bumps along the way. I had an Ideal HP290 installed in March, which in the 5 months so far has performed well. The house has been at a minimum 19 degrees, the water is hot and the overall COP has been 4.16. Thanks to my other green tech and use of tariffs, at a notional maximum cost of £65 but in reality far less, for energy output that oil would have cost £242 to create.
Pavel who did the heat loss survey and installation did an excellent job. His quality of workmanship and attention to detail to ensure no future problems were second to none, albeit he had a few unexpected late night finishes to deliver in the time.
All the staff at CB Heating were friendly and open to discussion. Shout outs to Phoebe, Harley, Harley (in design) and Richard. Ultimately really happy with the deal, support service and product I but as said earlier with few bumps. These stemmed from the survey flagging the need for a larger heat pump (the HP290) than quoted. The initial bump was in relation an assurance about the cost of any subsequent change given at quote stage, notwithstanding this, I thought the ‘deal’ was still market leading at the time and so proceeded; the second bump involved getting confirmation of the extended warranty. Both resolved satisfactorily but the latter shouldn’t have taken nearly 5 months of chasing to sort.
As a side note, I think there’s scope in the process to consider more overtly the heat pumps integration with homeowners existing electricity system and other green tech, as well as other integral services e.g. fuse boards and construction of a base for the heat pump.

From the moment we first made contact we EDF heating (CB heating as was) we found ateam that was knowledgable and helpful. From first discussion through to site visit, design and install the team were courteous and nothing was to much trouble even when small tweaks were required. The install team were professional and tidy and accomadating to any issues as they arose. The entire process ran smoothly and we can't thank the team enough.

Really happy with our heatpump! We were introduced to EDF Heatpumps through Daikin at Fully Charged Live North and from start to finish it's has been an amazing experience. From the Heat loss survey to the carefully designed system and all the way to installation, it's all been amazing and super professional. For almost 18 months now, our home has been lovely and cozy throughout winter and the heating season. Huge thanks to Ramya and Andys install team and everyone we spoke to at EDF Heatpumps :)

I feel we have had a good system installed. I'm happy to recommend CB heating, Stephanie Byrne was helpful as was Nicholas in the sales team. As with most things there are things that could have been done better but everything was resolved in a timely manner, so I feel pleased with what has been installed.
