Clockwork Removals and Storage - Edinburgh Reviews 

I payed this moving company to collect and put in a storage, my on-campus room belongings during COVID-19, in my absence. I signed the contract were it stated that both parties were in an agreement that EVERYTHING will be collected, apart from the things they can’t per contract (I.e. liquids, inflammatory substances, food etc).
I trusted them to collect everything to find out a year later, that many things are missing I.e. pillows, bins, clothes, hangers, boxes, shoes, electrical sockets, towels, even my underwear.

I contacted them to know what happened to my remaining belongings, maybe they forgot to deliver some boxes? They straight forward said that all the boxes have been delivered and that if things are missing to contact my university, basically denying their contract responsibility of collecting ALL my belongings.
I went trough my old emails both between the university and the moving company, to provide proof that they are the one that took everything, and what did I found?
- an email from my university stating that after the collection, the only remaining things in my room were liquid products
- an exchange of emails with the moving company team affirming that nothing was left in my room (apart for the things they can’t take by contract) and that they would have still CHECKED AGAIN WITH a list, provided by the university of objects that are university’s property aka. NOT my missing belongings, to be sure that nothing was left out.

Meaning that either everything was taken during their fist visit, or that everything would have been taken on their second visit to my accommodation; since NOBODY had access to my room apart from them.

I provided proof of all these emails and asked again and again how will they compensate me, since after all they lost a good majority of me belongings. Each time they kept denying their responsibility on the matter and brush it off to the university, who legit told me that the ONLY remaining things after their collection were liquid products.

I’m still waiting to be compensated, which I believe will not happen since all they do is denying their CONTRACT responsibility.

I moved a lot in my life and employed many moving companies to collect and ship/store my belongings, both in and without my absence, but this experience is by far the worst I ever had. I will not trust this company again to the job, and if by some strange reason I will, it will be under my surveillance to be 100% sure that they take everything and that they are doing the job they were payed to do.

Very quick and efficient service especially considering the amount of boxes I had to be carried down three flights of stairs. I would highly recommend this company for anyone considering large and complicated removals and storage.

Disappointed with the service on the day, and the lack of follow through when I raised my concerns. They are not looking for repeat business, as unlikely to move anytime soon, so why should they care!

Fantastic service from Clockwork Removals Edinburgh team. Everything was great, from the initial visit to provide a quote, all the way through to the removals itself. The staff were all very courteous and competent. This made a stressful time a lot easier, and for a very competitive price. When we move again Clockwork will be the firm I choose. Would recommend without hesitation.

The office team were really helpful and accommodating at a very stressful time and helped when our dates changed unexpectedly and we had to put our things into storage. The moving team were very professional and friendly, and everything got moved with no problems. Would highly recommend the Clockwork team.

Overall a good experience with Clockwork having used them on multiple occasions. However, when using them on my latest move I found the removal fee to be extreme for a 1.6mi move when compared to a ~60mi move I also used Clockwork for. The 1.6mi was considerably more expensive for the same amount of items and type of transport.

Clockwork did a really excellent job with our removal, storage, and moving us into our new flat. The team were friendly and professional, and the rate was very competitive. Communication with the office was easy and responses were received promptly.

Removal was from a storage unit in Fife to a 3rd/4th floor duplex flat in Edinburgh which has no lift access. I was kept informed of progress on the arranged day of the loading and expected arrival time.
Clockwork staff were courteous, careful to protect items and placed furniture and items in specified rooms without complaint.
I would definitely use again for future moves.

Both the moving out and moving in teams were polite, respectful and communicative. They did their job efficiently and effectively.

I cannot speak of Clockwork Removals highly enough. They were professional from start to finish whilst moving us from Edinburgh to Inverness. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends in need of a great removals team.
Liam and Crystal in the Edinburgh office were particularly helpful with quotes and answering all my questions.

Accommodated our change of schedule, arrived on time, did complete pack and removal quickly and carefully, patiently waited a couple of hours at the new address while the sale concluded. Well mannered and helpful team.

Everything went smoothly, men arrived on time and were very pleasant and helpful. Everything packed up within an hour and unloaded at the other end very effectively. They even places the furniture where I wanted it to go so did not have to move aything.

The company from the time I asked about a quote, to getting moving materials, and the move, they were amazing. Professional and also friendly and helpful.

Another excellent house clearance (the third one required at this particular property). Everything was done exactly as requested. The men were on time, friendly and helpful - could not ask for more.

I was moving to a flat which required a lot of work done therefore it was a case of putting all my stuff in the one room.
I think I should have asked the removers to make certain items accessible. Another time I would know to do this. So maybe it would a good idea if removers storing items as I requested might alert the customer to the possible need for access and ask them 'is there anything you think you might need access to'.
