I am leaving this review because I am very surprised to note how many poor reviews have been posted. As a customer of many years standing it feel important to declare that I have found the Cooksons Gold to be consistently good to deal with. I am often find myself to be surprised by the excellent service provided, going way beyond any reasonable expectations. As a jeweller I would be lost without Cooksons gold.

I order from Cooksongold regularly and my items always arrive very quickly and are exactly as ordered. Last week I placed a bigger order including tools and equipment and I wanted to be sure I would be at home when it arrived. I didn’t have much information from the carrier so called Cooksongold to see if they could help. Callum was very helpful, accessed information from the carrier and assured me it would arrive today, which it did. All very carefully and thoroughly packed. It was great to be able to talk to a “real person” about the order. This company is very refreshing to deal with, always great service.

Great descriptions on website, simple checkout & also accepts PayPal pay in 3 which is very useful. The items I brought look to be great quality & should last many years. Thankfully everything I ordered worked perfectly for what I needed. Delivery was also very quick literally a few days.

Of the suppliers in the UK, I have put my faith in cooksons delivery of items and have experienced some minor issues. However, the recent service has been appalling. I ordered a length of silver wire. I was emailed to offer an alternative length which I immediately accepted. I then received an automated email saying this item wasn't in stock. When I replied saying it was all sorted via 'Lee' I was told by 'Tracy' that it still wasn't actually sorted. Then 'Lauren' stepped in to offer yet an other alternative length. After accepting this 3 alternative, I got another email plus an automated email saying this was now out of stock until January. Disgusting and has made me look really stupid to the person I was making the ring for

Made my first (modest) order online yesterday early afternoon. I received what I had ordered, by registered (Royal) mail at 0930 this morning! Goods were beautifully but also proportionally (no excess) packed for their (short) journey. Frankly a perfect start, five star experience. Royal Mail obviously did their bit but please take a bow Cookson Gold - amazing backend efficiency and the goods (gold chains and bails) look good too. Thank you. Happy Christmas!

A substantial bracelet which I purchased from a reputable private jeweller turned out to have a fatal flaw: after only a few months' wear, the bolt ring sheared in half. Cooksongold offered no compensation for this and it is onlypure luck that I was at home when the bracelet fell off my wrist. Very poor.

I’m writing this review as I order all the time from Cookson Gold and was astounded to read the negative reviews?!

If ever I have had an issue with anything they couldn’t be more helpful and willing to resolve it.

Absolutely terrible customer service.

Bought a moissanite tester from cookson after my old one died, same tester I have used for years. The tester they sent me was broken and tested everything as moissanite - including GIA certified diamonds. Raised this to them weeks ago with no resolution to a very simple problem.

They keep sending me instructions on how to use it, I am aware of how to use it I have had the same model for years. Seem desperate to keep my money and not resolve sending me a broken tester.

Going to have to go through PayPal disputes just to get a refund for a broken tool - absolutely disgusting. Don't trust this company at all.

I've ordered from Cookson many times, and mostly a good experience. Very quick same day dispatch and they get orders right almost all of the time. On the rare occasion that there is an error they are quick to resolve.

Appalling! Placed a substantial order on 30.8.23 l. First my order is 'delayed' by DPD. Then I receive a text to say my order will arrive today - there are 4 people inside this property. One who is working outside. I then get a text to say 'sorry our driver missed you'. The driver didn't even call! I will never order from you again. Absolutely appalling employing a deceitful delivery service. I'm working tomorrow and this delay will impact on my ability to supply my shops stockists.

Horrible experience. I waited 2 months for my silver shot and it still didn't arrive. Still waiting cookson! I will never order again and advise everyone to never buy from here. Horrible customer service and rude.

I have been a customer of Cookson’s since they inherited my account from Johnson Matthey many years ago.
They have proved to be consistently reliable and helpful over the extent of this time. So amazing to place an order one day and receive it the next. This sort of service can often be taken for granted. Thank you Cookson for being fabulous!

Im so glad i did some surfing research on beads on the internet and i discovered Cooksongold. They have real Miyuki beads sealed in tubes and they are beautiful. I just recived my order today and im so happy! The shipping went great and the pack arrived in my Mailbox today. Its very hard to find beads in Norway and the selection is so very bad here, most of the stuff is fake, still usable, but with a little meh.. for more beauty and quality on necklace and bracelets i like best to work with quality stuff. I hope Cooksongold can take in more color options on the size 6/0 Miyuki beads, and some czech glass beads with other sizes and shapes would have been great. This is a wish from me since i would like to order more from this site. The price on the beads them self is good, ofc there is some extra expence to get them to Norway but its duable. Im very satisfied with Cooksongold, beads are really beautiful and a trustworthy site. Can’t wait to order more soon in the future. Hope do deal with you soon again, regards from Nora Norway.

Ordered some wax sheets and paid for 1st class delivery, received an invoice letter with no wax sheets been waiting from the 24th of April and today is the 10th of May, rang there customer service and they said it can take up 10 working days haha what a jokeeee and for me to do anything further i need to wait the full 10 working days - don’t order anything unless your prepared to wait a very long time !!!

I wanted some sterling silver jump rings for a project. I checked Cooksongold and they had what I wanted. I double-checked to be sure before ordering. I was happy. I ordered, I chose postage and packing, I payed. I got a receipt. I sat back and waited. As usual 2 days later - bing bang boom !! It's delivered !!

No need for fanfares with 'dancing elephants' or floats with a carnival atmosphere, or cheerleaders, or horns and confetti and cake !

Just a straightforward check to see if Cooksongold can come through for me as usual, do the transaction, and receive through the post !

Where's the fun in that ???

But did I want 'fun' ? NO ! I just wanted a professional service as usual, and that's exactly what I got from Cooksongold, again !!

p.s. ( Maybe...Cooksongold could lay-on...a...little fanfare with cheerleaders...and dancing elephants...next time ?... Ha ha ha ! Or just straightforward business ! )

I had a problem ( courier handling/security ) with a fairly large order package. Explained what had happened and Cookson replaced the order straightaway. Amazingly good service. Have used Cookson since I first started jewellery making as a hobby. Now running as a business and wouldnt even consider buying supplies anywhere else. Their tools, metals etc..are absolutely the best you can get. Their customer service is beyond 5 stars!

I ordered a 9ct gold diamond cut curb chain and it was delivered 2 days later. The chain is beautiful - really sparkly and goes perfectly with my gold ring pendant. The cost was a lot less than other shops offering a very similar chain. I will definitely order from here again.
