I rented a Cruise America RV for nine days to transport my mother, who was recovering from a serious stroke and unable to fly. Unfortunately, the RV had numerous mechanical and sanitation problems.
At pickup, the tire pressure warning light was on. I questioned the employee and was told it was a malfunction. During the trip, we discovered a significant tire issue/flat spot that caused excessive vibration and noise, forcing us to drive approximately 55 MPH or less and extending our trip.
The refrigerator also failed, ruining over $400 in groceries. The refrigerator door repeatedly opened while driving, there were ants throughout the RV, the cockpit A/C stopped cooling after about an hour, the generator repeatedly shut off despite having over half a tank of fuel, and there was a persistent sewer odor.
Because the tire issue slowed our travel, we needed additional rental days and were charged for them.
When I returned the RV, I explained all the problems. The employee said the RV would be tagged for a mechanic. I was also charged $177 for generator usage. He offered to waive the $177 because of our unpleasant experience, but only if I signed a waiver/affidavit agreeing not to leave a negative review. I declined and told him I would rather pay the charge and honestly share my experience.
Teresa answered all my questions, provided some helpful suggestions, and made my making a reservation as easy as possible. Thank you!

My experience with the reservation department was fantastic. My agent Morgan was very patient, friendly and very knowledgeable about the products. The customer service offered was above and beyond. I know I was in the business of dealing with people and customers for 45 years. It’s nice to run across a person that have those qualities.
Thank you,
John

The RV wasn't available because it was damaged prior to us picking up the RV. They offered us a replacement and the generator didnt work. We never got an RV and had to Uber to get a rental car. It was really disappointing

Haven't picked up our RV yet but my telephone booking with Dan Brinnon was a breeze. He was so personable and patient, I had a lot of questions. The unlimited mileage was a huge selling point but Dan really clinched the deal. Other companies I spoke with were so condescending and uninterested in their job like they didn't care if we rented from them. Hope this standard of customer service holds up through throughout our month long trip.
