B list shows get F treatment. Sometimes shows are posted but are hidden unless you go to the shows page. The episode than shows up in the newly added the next day maybe. Shows routinely do not have summaries or episode name and sometimes they have the wrong thumbnail. Today I went to watch Release That Witch episode five a day after it released. They subtitles are horribly paced with the show. Leaving whole segments where there are characters talking and no subtitles on screen. Let me be clear I those working on the shows are doing there best but I doubt they have the numbers or the time to do things right. Feels like the quality has been going down ever since Sony acquired them.

They cant even make the subtitles correct wtf.

I’ve been dealing with Crunchyroll support for **3 months** and it’s honestly a complete joke.

Every single time I contact them, I get the same copy-paste response:
“Ok, we will reach you via email.”
And then what? **Absolutely nothing.** No follow-up, no fix, no communication. Just silence.

Meanwhile, I **can’t log in on ANY of my devices**, so I’m basically paying for a service I can’t even use. And instead of actually helping, they just keep giving empty promises and disappearing.

This is beyond bad customer service — it’s straight-up neglect.
Fix your system or stop taking people’s money if you can’t support your own platform.

Seriously, what kind of service is this?
Don't buy any subscription, just watch anime from free websites. They are hungry for money, they took your money and disappeared. Greedy people

So I was watching hunter x hunter with my brother,whi hasnt watched it before. And it was amazing, until we find out crunchyroll had removed it without even showing they would. If they were transparent and told people we might have been able to binge the series last couple of episodes. They should give warnings like netflix do, especially when its long series its removing

I cannot tell you the amount of issues I've had with crunchyroll over the years. It's insane that this is a paid service. There are so many UI issues, player issues, general website issues especially when it comes to stability. I don't think they've ever heard of redundancy.

They just recently updated the player UI and it's overall much worse. There's episodes of anime that are literally missing their titles. There's so many basic things that would massively improve the UI that are so blatantly obvious but they never attempt to make it better. Subtitles constantly have errors. To top it all off though, they raise the price even with all of these issues. It's insane. Then they wonder why people pirate, the overall quality and experience is literally BETTER than the paid service! They should be ashamed of that. Even when it comes to paying, they don't offer the basic option to CHANGE YOUR DUE DATE! It's not complicated I promise you that. Absolutely ridiculous.

Whats the point of putting the 18+ if the anime itself doesn't show nudity in it? Especially when its in the rating listing?
Strongly thinking of canceling my subscription and going to Hidive.

I used to be a huge fan, now, technical issues, subscription issues and subtitle mistiming has become the norm for me over the last 6 months and when you contact them to fix it any of the problems they do nothing, unsubcribing...

Recieved promo for $92 instead of $120 for the yearly Fan deal. Payment failed and it magically went back up to 120. Crunchyroll support are a joke. 'Could you kindly share the offer details with us?' just spamming this sentence to me. Im pretty sure there staff are not real human beings. Good shows, yeah? Transparency, zero chance. Staff, useless. Literally if there staff said to me 'oh we messed up - we werent meant to offer that for $92, sorry thats our fault' I would of been completely fine with it. its just the neglience as the biggest anime service in the world for me. what a joke

It's a nice app but i would like more series in English like demon slayer and one piece and maybe a lower price

Crunchyroll has done it again! now with their new interface you can no longer use the Shift + N shortcut to skip episodes, in fact the skip button in general is gone from the screen entirely! say hello to closing out of the episode every time and manually clicking the next one. ALSO 5 second skips with the keyboard arrow keys are now gone as well, brilliant!

Absolutely horrible youd be better signing up to some random 3rd party site than them. Massive law suits surrounding user data breaches. As well as unfinished uploads. no point paying these guys any money when they cant give u the same thing as a free site im on a free trial but im going to cancel early, videos with the wrong subtitles dubbed then not dubbed took 2 seconds to find what i was looking for elsewhere since they dont know what the're doing

Crunchyroll continues to charge me long after I canceled my subscription and will only refund two of my fees that they charged "in their error," which is ridiculous!
Their customer service is very rude also.

Bought out many of the more obscure and important titles only to haver many only dubbed in english only. getting it through amazon prime, depending on your device, you may not even have the option to make language changes. many of the dubs are re-done newer badly done ones. totally disorganized, and patched together.

How does a big platform suck so bad? No comments, no reviews, the absurd prices for little to no perks and terrible UI. It actually looks and feels worse than pirated sites I've been on. The discovery is also terrible, I have to scroll for so long just to find anime I want to watch. The "romance" tag also does nothing. I want romance, not hints of romance in the plot, so why is it suggesting me shield hero for romance??? I also pay $10 a month just to be able to get the most basic things? I expected to be able to stream on more than 1 device for $10.

2. Customer service is awful and not helpful
3. Good luck on canceling your membership
4. Says new episode released, but it's just re releasing an old episode.
5. It doesn't matter if you use the website or the app, they both have server issues and bad connection.
6. Ai translations that are incorrect.
7. Monopolized and split half of their library on HiDIVE cause they own that too.

Over night they updated it Feb 22nd 2026. You have to get the highest premium for more than one season any anime. While giving every bit of your info besides your social security

HORRIBLE. I signed up for a whole year and it’s only been 1.5 months, but they are telling me pay again. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS STREAMING PLATFORM? I feel like it is lying and bullying my kid and I, which is so upsetting. Something is wrong with their horrible programming.
