Completamente disorganizzati e inaffidabili, ho dovuto pagare 50 euro per modificare il biglietto e al momento del pagamento della modifica del biglietto del traghetto, non mi è arrivata nessuna mail di conferma di pagamento, ne alcuna mail col biglietto nuovo modificato. Alla mia richiesta di spiegazioni mi dicono che a loro ancora non è arrivato il mio pagamento (dalla mia carta mi hanno detratto subito la somma) pertanto dovrò secondo loro pagare altri 50 euro perché probabilmente il link che mi avevano mandato era scaduto. Senza parole. Uno schifo. Un viaggio Bari durazzo mi verrà 200 euro, mille mail e nessuna risposta esaustiva. Non mi è mai capitato nella mia vita di fare acquisti online e dover ricevere mail di conferme pagamento o del biglietto giorni dopo, assurdo!!! Mi sono stati sempre generati in automatico e in modo istantaneo i biglietti. Che disorganizzazione e che vergogna!
Completely disorganized and unreliable, I had to pay 50 euros to change the ticket and when I paid for the change to the ferry ticket, I did not receive any payment confirmation email, nor any email with the new modified ticket. Upon my request for explanations they tell me that my payment has not yet arrived (they immediately deducted the sum from my card) therefore according to them I will have to pay another 50 euros because the link they had sent me had probably expired. Without words. A mess. A trip to Bari Durazzo will cost me 200 euros, a thousand emails and no comprehensive response. It has never happened to me in my life to make purchases online and have to receive payment or ticket confirmation emails days later, absurd!!! Tickets have always been automatically and instantly generated for me. What disorganization and what a shame!
I will do everything possible to ensure that my rights and money are not lost! If I don't receive any tickets I will use the means at my disposal to receive the refund I believe I am due!

Good but needs improvement
The website keeps switching the language on what is displayed even when you provide the guidance on where you are from and the language to display. Also when your preference of times is chosen and you put in all the information on the party and THEN given that the time preference is not available, you have to redo everything. Set the language for the entire use and see if the time chosen is available and then give a 'five' minute time to input the data.

I lost money as THEIR website was wrong
Their website was wrong causing me to book the wrong ferry transfer. When I spoke to them we had to cancel the transfer and I was out of pocket. I asked to have a complaint escalated, it was ignored, I filled in their contact form again on line to make a complaint and they stated they didn’t have any reference to the booking number or the email I gave (even though they originally sent me the booking via same address) so they cancelled my request to place a formal complaint. I even attached copies of the email re the wrong ferry terrible company doesn’t take responsibility for their own actions

Some Ships are listed although they're fully booked, otherwise site is ok
Site is mostly well designed and the UI is mostly smooth.
What I don't understand though is that I get ships listed for possible journeys but after (! and this is the annoying point) entering all the annoying details for all passengers I get told the ship got full while I was entering the details (took me like 2mins). Took another computer, searched again, ship is there again, enter details, ship is gone again.
This is very annoying especially for this kind of short-term booker I am. Maybe you find a solution to make the booking process a better experience. Nobody likes booking stuff which is why I'm so extremely focused on the smoothness of the process and if this wasn't the ship carrier's fault there might be some potential for improvement.

Very bad. I couldn’t get my e-ticket on my phone so I had to go to seajets office personally to stamp it. The guy at the seajet office said that this occurred because the e-ticket had been sent to Direct Line instead to me.

Tried booking a ferry for the 26.08. and clicked on one of the alternative route suggestions to a different harbour. Suddenly the date was changed to the 25.08. in the booking process. Could not change the date in my account and no response from costumer service since I booked on the 20.08. Disappointing.

I made a reservation for Venice to Rovinj and quickly realized I made it for the wrong day. I paid 23 for “cancel any time” so I asked them if I could change the date. Here is what they said: “We wanted to send you a quick email to confirm that we've begun processing your amendment request for your booking below. We'll send you a confirmation email once we've finished. If there are any additional charges from the ferry company, we'll let you know so you can decide if you still want to make the amendment.” And yet, they changed it anyways without checking with me, and then charged me $45.01. Nowhere on their web site did they inform me of this fee; in fact I paid for “cancel any time,” so I thought I was covered for any eventuality. This is price gouging. Now I’m worried about whether or not I actually have a ticket for my Sept 1 and Sept 4 passages, but it’s impossible to get in touch with this company without paying exorbitant fees. We’ll see. Considering my terrible experience with this company, I tried to cancel my reservations and buy direct through the ferry company, but when I tried to do that, the system said I had to go through the “help center,” which would cost an additional huge fee even though I paid 23 for “cancel for any reason.” I am out a lot of money. VERY DISSATISFIED! Stay away from this company.

RUN AWAY FROM USING THIS COMPANY
Run! Do Not EVER USE THIS COMPANY. ALWAYS BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THE FERRY COMPANY YOU WISH TO USE. DIRECT FERRIES AND THEIR ENTIRE STAFF ARE TRAINED TO SCAM UNSUSPECTING TRAVELERS! My wife booked 3 round trip Club Class tickets for our family from Sicily to Malta and back. Direct Ferries sent us confirmations showing only my 7 year old had Club Class. She informed Direct Ferries many times before our journey this was incorrect. Their response, it is correct don’t worry. We arrived for our journey and of course only our 7 year old had the proper ticket we had all paid for. On the boat I paid “again” for Club Class so our 7 year old was not alone. We contacted Direct Ferries many times before the return and they said “ none of us had Club Class for the return and if we wanted to purchase upgraded tickets, “we could at a discounted rate.” After many many emails, and finally one phone call (they do not have a customer service phone number) I had someone call me, I was told everything was going to be straightened out. Well a few minutes after that phone call I was told via email, they would not give us the upgrade which was paid for (it was) and none of us would be in Club Class. Guess what, when we checked in for our return trip “only our 7 year old had the correct ticket.” After again many emails after the voyage when I tried to receive a refund of the premium paid I was told “we did not take the ferries on the dates and times we were scheduled, and it was not Direct Ferries fault. I am not making this up, or embellishing this story. It’s sad and comical that a company exists to try and provide THE LOWEST LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD. LIE, CHEAT, SCAM, AND SHOW NO REMORSE FOR THEIR INCOMPETENCE. Anyone who reads this review, and then chooses to use Direct Ferries is making a big mistake. Oh, the purser on the Ferry told, when I paid for the upgrade to sit we our 7 year old “ WE HAVE MAY PROBLEMS WITH DIRECT FERRIES BOOKING, YOU ARE NOT THE FIRST!” Consumer beware. Stay away from Direct Ferries and book direct. Bad company, bad incompetent employees, bad management, jacked up premium prices, bad, bad, bad!

Terrible terrible customer service
I booked the wrong tickets and when I contacted direct ferries to change them I was told by a member of staff to book them again and a refund -£10 would be given. I asked them to confirm this via email which they did.
I purchased the tickets again and was then told repeatedly that no refund could be given. When I argued this (all via email as you cannot contact them on the phone unless they call you), I was eventually told (after at least 5 more emails from me) that I would be offered the refund -£50 fee. I am still arguing this as they are trying to rescind on what they told me on the phone and in writing. I would not have booked the tickets again (at a much higher price) if I knew the fee was £50, I would have booked for a cheaper sailing.
It is also worth knowing that direct ferries are not regulated by the UK travel regulator, so pursuing a complaint beyond them is convoluted.
Do not book with direct ferries - it really isn't worth the terrible terrible customer service and gaslighting that they inflict on you if something goes wrong. Just book directly with the ferry company!

Te Worst!
We booked round trip ferries from Māori to Capri. Due to illness we had to move our reservation within 48 hours. We started trying to contact you 14 hours before departure and could not get any response. We missed our ferry the next morning. When I finally got though on the chat line and wanted to re-schedule I was told I could only reschedule my return and that I had to buy new ticket for the outbound. Even though I tried to reach direct ferries well in advance to request a change. I rescheduled my return and purchased new outbound tickets. I then never received new PDF documents reflecting the return change. I kept being sent pdf documents with my original return date. It took me four different online chats totaling almost 10 hours to finally get an online agent to send me the correct return pdf showing the correct return date. I am shocked by what it took me to just move a trip because of illness not to mention that I had to pay twice for 2 tickets because I could not reach anyone at your company. As a professional advertising person I plan on posting this horrible experience on every travel and review site. You should be ashamed
To run a booking company in such an unprofessional manner.
