I ordered a chair for my daughter’s bedroom, and picked a ‘bespoke’ fabric from one of the books in the showroom. Olivia spent a long time helping me with my choice as I wanted something a little different. Really pleased, and great delivery! Thank you so much!

I recently purchased a custom ordered club chair for my husband for a big birthday and we couldn’t be happier with it. We had a lovely visit to the Clapham showroom where Andrei very patiently talked us through several options and, when none of them quite hit the mark, helped us come up with a spec for a wider version of the Rockingham model which was exactly what we were looking for. Delivery was right on schedule and the finished chair is absolutely beautiful. We would highly recommend! And we may be back soon for a footstool!

All was well, like the majority of the 5* reviews, until I needed some post sales support.

Based on my current experience I wish Distinctive Chesterfields were as attentive after the sale, as they were pre sale - have been waiting 7 months (and counting...) for a technician to be booked for a chesterfield pleat repair that came undone within the first year of ownership, after being told that their guarantee would not cover it.

Emailed the sales assistant several times over the past months but had no reply. When I called the showroom and asked for an update; was told that the 3rd party they use to repair the sofas did not pick the job; what shocked me the most at this point was that after 7 months of waiting no one from Distinctive Chesterfields ever apologized for the long delay or offered to rectify the problem, they just don't care. All after sales problems seem to be brushed off to their 3rd party repairer, whether they end up contacting the clients or not.

I asked them to have their 3rd party company contacting me directly, if that does not happen within a reasonable timeframe will have to go via the legal action under the consumer act.

New addition, post repair:
The sofa was repaired to satisfactory standard however the "white gloves" delivery service scuffed and damaged my wallpaper and the sofa. Distinctive Chesterfields refused to take responsibility for the damages, dismissing them as wear and tear (with no evidence of their own) and asked me to contact the delivery company to complain, this is a breach of the consumers act and therefore company was reported to trading standards.

Distinctive Chesterfields have always been so helpful and efficient in all our interactions, both when buying a couple of sofas and then with a couple of accessories.

Wow! The furniture is absolutely beautiful! It is very comfortable and looks great in our home. Ruth was a gem to work with - she was patient and professional and worked so well with us to make sure our order was just right. We love our Distinctive Chesterfields furniture and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for high quality furniture!

This gorgeous Chesterfield sofa made its trip from England to California this past week! It is beautifully made with gorgeous leather as well! I am an Interior Designer and this sofa definitely elevates the design of the room! In addition, Ruth, my salesperson, was stellar when modifying the design to my exact needs. I needed the sofa to be taller and it was perfectly adjusted. She was an absolute delight! I have already received multiple compliments on the sofa!

We changed our minds a few times after initial quote but Andrei just required and ensured it would fit into our chosen room after sending pictures with dimensions. Excellent sofa and two stools purchased which was worth the money and wait. Would definitely recommend over other so called chesterfields.

We received our 2 Chesterfield velvet couches. They are beautiful! We love them!! I also love the brass oval emblem on the back of the couches saying where they were made. What a classy touch 😃  I wanted elegant and that's what i got 😃🥰 They are very comfortable. My husband was worried about them not being comfortable but he is very happy with the comfortability of them.  Ruth Olbrych, thank you for helping us with this!! I researched a lot of Chesterfield manufacturers before choosing Distinctive. I was looking for a sofa bed option and was surprised to see how few there are on the market that are of this caliber. Before buying anything, the pre-sale communication (ordering swatches, logistical questions, measurement clarifications) were all answered quickly. I had updates regularly and once delivered, I was pleased to find the sofa to be exactly as described -without a flaw. I would recommend, and will continue to shop here.

Company representative was kind and easy going which took any stress or uncertainty out of the purchase. She was knowledgeable about the craftsmanship, color combinations and appropriate size for my space.

Everything went well until the delivery. When you sell beautiful higher end furniture, you should try to find a delivery service that matches your image. The company that was contracted to deliver my loveseats was beyond rude, incompetent, and hostile.

My three seat wingback chesterfield is the most beautiful piece of furniture I've ever owned, but not the most comfortable. After about a year of use, the cushions have sunk quite a bit towards the middle of the couch, and don't bounce back. I still wouldn't trade it for the world, though!

Fantastic experience. I love the new sofa and it arrived on time and extremely well packed. It was missing a button and Ruth immediately had a professional upholsterer here within the week. I live two hours from a major city. That was no obstacle. He was very impressed with how well the sofa is made. Absolute quality from professional folks who know their craft.
