Avoid DKAVS means not buy LG
This review is about DKAVS role as LG's service engineers in my area.
I contacted the manufacturer (LG) to arrange an in-warranty repair for my fully registered TV. LG asked that I send a picture showing the issue, so I sent a picture and a video. LG confirmed they received the info and that my TV would receive a warranty repair within 14 working days They said an engineer would be in touch to arrange the collection/visit and that there was nothing else I needed to do.
DKAVS's idea of a arranging a visit was to demand I send them pictures of TV's rating plate, more pictures of the issue and a copy of my receipt, otherwise the booking would be cancelled even though in their words "... I know you may have sent these already to LG but we always ask them for our records."
I contacted DKAVS who said it was the fastest way otherwise they would have to conduct a visit to see the problem and that it was booked for an in-home repair. I told them I was unhappy with their customer service approach and I was told I can raise the issue with LG but they do all LG's repairs in the area so I would be sent straight back to them - She was right and that is another reason to write this review. I did go back to LG who said the information I provided would again be passed on the the engineers - A week later the engineers told LG they were unable to arrange a booking for the repair. So the email was right about cancelling my repair if I don't give them documentation for their records.
This company has terrible customer service and is dishonest in its dealings with customers. They have intentional delayed my repair and flaunted their position as sole providers in the area for LG to disrespect my rights as a consumer.
5 Stars Just Isn't Enough...
A well deserved 5* Visited their premises expecting to book the TV in for repair when Greg & Steve jumped into action and diagnosed the issue right there and then.
Changed the problem part, uploaded the software and had it up and running in no time. Couldn't recomend DK Audio Visual Services and the whole team any higher.
Great service
Great service, fixed a camera whichI was told by staff at Curry’s was not repairable and the cheapest option would be to purchase a new one for £350, decided to ring Panasonic as camera was out of warranty and they put me in touch with DKAVS, who fixed it within a 10 day turnaround, for £130. Would definitely recommend this company. They also provide you with an email link to check how your repair is going, and collect and return items by courier service
Took in a dvd recorder to be repaired…
Took in a dvd recorder to be repaired which needed a new hard drive. Unit wasn’t opened but suggestion is the part was unobtainable from Panasonic. Bought a hard drive from Amazon and fitted it for £12 myself and all working fine. If they don’t need the work then fine. Reviews suggest the company are great for some technology, but not videos/dvds and I would agree with this too.
In addition having received the reply I should add they misdiagnosed the issue. It did indeed require a new hard drive which would allow both the dvd tray to open and record onto the hard drive. I managed to get the Panasonic data required from avforums, install this on the same hard drive make that was previously in the machine and make it work for 12 pounds as previously stated. I cannot understand why I was charged 50 pounds for detecting a fault I knew existed. I had thought the company might repair (at a fair price), however a forum supported and therefore I provided a 2 star review for their time. Having now received a reply trying to justify I will change to one star as no real work was completed. It took me 2 minutes to unscrew and complete the same work. To replace the hard drive with the correct data and reformat took less than one hour. Thank goodness for avforums. Thank you.
Efficient field repair
After the bulb failed in a microwave oven I'd purchased from Amazon 6 months prior, Amazon customer support put me in touch with DKAVS and an engineer arrived on time 3 working days later. He was polite and very efficient, gave his name as "Rich". He had fixed the job and left site within 5 minutes. I was delighted, asked if I could email my thanks to his boss, he suggested, if I was so inclined, to create a review on TrustPilot.
Thanks Rich.

RX10 for repair
I sent my RX10 for repair, their estimate was half that of others. There was a hold-up due to their website (hence 4 stars) but once sorted the repair and return was very quick (5 Star). I am very pleased all round.

Sent headphones for repair
Sent headphones for repair, and they arrived 22.12.22. Then silence. I sent multiple emails using the form provided and then actually emailing the customer enquiries for updates. No reply. Rang 20.1.23 told by the operator that I had been invoiced for the repair - but I had not received any emails at all. Asked for another - it didn't come, so I rang again. I asked the operator if the headphones had been repaired and she said no, not until payment so I asked to pay over the phone. 23.1.23 headphones arrived not repaired. Hugely disappointing. Waiting a month and paying for absolutely nothing. Bearing in mind there is a form to fill out staying the make and model and the damage including photos, it would seem I shouldn't have been asked to send it in the first place.
Excellent Customer Service
Paul was amazing! Came on time - spotted the problem immediately. Took our tele away and returned it 2 days later.
A fantastic service - Thank you very much
Posted camcorder for repair on…12/11/22
Posted camcorder for repair on 12/11/22. Had to ring to see if they had received it. Was sent an invoice for
repair which was excessive. Requested camcorder be returned un repaired. Paid post and package that was
taken out of my bank account 05/12.22. Phone to ask where my camcorder was on 12/12/22 and was told it would be posted that day. Rang again on19/12/22 and once more was told it would be posted that day. Camcorder still has not arrived.
DK261045 was the job number given. All communication came from the customer side. I only wish i could give NO stars for a service that seems to not to exist. Fast turn around I think not. £20.38p out of pocket, and stiil no camcorder

We had an issue with our new tv
We had an issue with our new tv. DKAVS was very quick at assisting us with replacing the front panel of the tv. They came to our house and showed great professionalism. They cleaned everything and hang the tv back in place on the wall. I will use them in the future and recommend them to my family and friends. Redhill client.

V Good result, eventually.
My Panasonic camera had an intermittent annoying fault, but was working just fine otherwise. I sent it to be assessed and received a quote for repair which was not cheap, but as a significant assembly had to be replaced I thought it worthwhile. The repair was done quickly and camera returned. The original fault was fixed, but the image quality was degraded - auto-focus not working properly. This problem seemed totally unrelated to the initial one. I sent evidence of the problem, but there followed a slightly confused exchange of emails, however this was resolved and the company looked at it again and found another fault, and offered to fix it if I agreed to pay just for the part needed, which was not expensive. They did not quibble about responsibility for this fault. I now have a fully working camera again.
Saturday morning service!!
Saturday morning service, 2x Engineers (Richard & Kai) come to replace my 65” LG Oled screen very polite and professional. They are both a credit to the company kept everything clean.
Thank you again guys for your service.
Poor Comunication
I went to this company to fix my Panasonic G100 as an out-of-warranty repair. Panasonic advised me to use this company as their official UK repair specialist.
I was invoiced for the repair and the company was good enough to give me a few days to pay the invoice when I had the funds. I also advised that I had spoken to Panasonic as I believe the issue to be a manufacturing defect.
I paid my bill and waited for my repair to be completed. It took around 6 weeks and during this time, the online portal was barely updated. I chased an update on the portal but no reply. I emailed them and got no reply either.
It took me to call to get a response, and I was told on a few occasions that the part was due in on Friday and the repair will be completed on this day. I must have heard the line 3 or 4 times. If they had told me there was a delay in the part being received I would have accepted this, but being misinformed, annoyed me more.
During the calls, I was informed that the repair was being marked as a warranty repair, which I didn't need to pay.
When I spoke to them on one occasion to check if I was due a refund, I was told I would only get this if Panasonic provide a cost assist. This shouldn't affect the end customer as this is an agreement between the company and Panasonic. You either promise a warranty repair or not.
So a month later I'm still awaiting a decision on if I'm getting a refund or not. I have been promised a callback on numerous occasions but never had one. It has always taken me to call and chase.
The repair was flawless and the camera works as well as it did before, but the experience has soured my experience of this company and buying a Panasonic device.
Just to provide balance I sent an Olympus camera to be repaired by the manufacturer, it was fixed and returned within a week, having travelled to Portugal and back to be repaired.
