Don’t bother… lowest of the low

Really hoped things would go well with their delivery services every time and every time it gets shittier. Lack of updates and information in the app, they will drive fast past your house and then claim they didn’t find you home, I actually witnessed this . I waited in front of the house to make sure I don’t miss the delivery only to receive a email that they didn’t find me at home. Of course their app and site make any attempt to get answers or speak with a responsible person there impossible. No one will answer their customer service calls, complaint forms that aren’t for businesses are impossible to find.

DPD stay away

Seems like every time one of my packages goes missing (or is late or is delivered to the wrong address) is because DPD was involved.

The customer service is also very unhelpful and rude. They are adamant that they are not the problem and that I need to contact the sender for information. The sender provided confirmation that they have handed the parcel to DPD, but this was not enough for DPD and they still denied receiving the parcel.

Really wish Amazon would stop working with DPD until they fix their delivery service and customer service.

Complete failure, security issues and zero responsibility

Absolutely unacceptable experience, mainly due to the handling of this case by Elisa Nigris from the Palmanova branch. Also, a special mention to customer service agents who simply hang up the phone when they cannot provide a solution.

I had TWO separate parcels, both paid as HOME DELIVERY from Belgium to Bologna, and BOTH were mishandled and delivered to the wrong locations.

FIRST PARCEL:
Never delivered. I had to go and pick it up myself from a warehouse located 1 hour away from the delivery address.

SECOND PARCEL:
Even worse. It was redirected WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION to a pickup point over 200 km away.

What followed was a series of completely inconsistent and contradictory explanations from Elisa Nigris:
• first claiming the parcel was delivered correctly
• then saying I changed the address myself ( which i didn’t)
• and later blaming a vague “request from the internet” by a third party, and then actually confirming that some random email changed my delivery address, and that i need to contact this person myself. Even though, they literally allowed some random “yahoo” email to send my package 213km away from my address…

So which one is it?

Either these explanations are false, or the company allows UNKNOWN THIRD PARTIES to modify delivery details without any verification — BOTH OPTIONS ARE EXTREMELY CONCERNING.

No proof was ever provided, despite multiple requests.
Then they said that they will send it back to belgium (and i would have to pay for that) to return it back to its origin (to the address i lived in before and not anymore)…. Or another solution is that i just pick it up myself. (i had a lot of my favourite clothes and important personal belongings there) Because of this failure, I was forced to travel 4 HOURS across regions to retrieve a 12.5 kg parcel, with NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT AVAILABLE, including a 45-MINUTE WALK, despite having a MEDICAL CONDITION affecting my back. Try carrying a 12.5kg huge box in the middle of nowhere through the feelings of village.
And after all of this?
REIMBURSEMENT WAS REFUSED.

DPD: Delivering Pain Daily - the only thing they actually drop off is your expectations."

DPD delivery experience: a masterclass in not-caring-at-all!
First, they kindly informed me that my package would be delivered - after the time window had already passed. Bold strategy. Keeps the suspense alive.
Despite 3 actual humans being home (alive, awake, and fully capable of opening doors), the courier apparently attempted delivery using advanced stealth techniques - no doorbell, no knock, no physical presence at all.
Instead, we received the classic “Sorry we missed you” note, which is impressive considering… they didn’t.
And the grand finale: the parcel is now waiting at a pickup point with a letter on the door that they are closed.

Poor service

Flowers ordered which were delivered to a completely wrong address, with the flowers even with other packages in a bag. Customer service couldn’t care less about this issue

Gave my box of silver with a printed…

Gave my box of silver with a printed label to arcavindi. I didn't have a receipt...it wasn't there policy to give receipts.. it never arrived.. it took weeks to find the tracking number... 2months later after many phone calls..they can't find the Box apparently the label was the problem...But I sent 2 boxes and 1 did arrive...knobody takes responsibility for any of this..dpd service promised to help but never did.!! Disgusting!

Dpd driver is lying by saying that I wasn't home

Today 24/3/2026 I was waiting for my parcel to arrive. I never left my place. Suddenly I got a text from dpd saying that the driver missed me. It's a BIG LIE. He never came nor call through interphone or to my phone number. It's very ugly way to let people down by lying.
IKEA should never hire pdp.

Drivers have no hands to ring door bells

Driver: says could not deliver coz no one was home
Meanwhile: took a day off, was waiting. Received a notification of failed delivery with a photo of my door. The driver likely has not enough computational power to RING THE DOOR BELL. DPD has absolutely no support. No social media, phone is only roboreply. Absolutely terrible incompetence.

No one delivered, no one supported, nothing came

Ordered from a shop that sent their package through DPD. The delivery man didnt even try to deliver it to my house. I spent the whole day waiting for the package, no one ever came by, yet I got a notification that a delivery attempt was made and no one was there to receive the package. They then proceeded to tell me the package could be picked up at another place. I went to the pickup location, but I was told there was no delivery made for a package with my name. I tried calling and sending a message, no one ever really answered until three days later, when they sent me a message stating that they sent the package back to the shop.
At this point, Im not even sure that anyone works there. Its like a ghost company.

How To Contact
Awful service , lying staff and drivers.
Annoying AI aftersales which you can get by by withholding your number and dialling 0215250500. Ignore all the prompts and you will get through to an advisor, who is about as much use as AI but at least you will speak to someone.

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE

Horrible. Absolutely unacceptable and unreliable service from DPD.

I run a small business and arranged a paid pickup for a large and heavy international shipment. The pickup was confirmed, yet no driver showed up.

At the same time, my customer was notified that the parcel was already “on the way,” even though it was still physically in my possession. This means incorrect tracking information was sent to my customer, putting my business credibility at serious risk.

This shipment is worth €400, and due to DPD’s failure, I am now at risk of losing the order entirely.

When I contacted customer service, I was told that the department I reached “cannot do anything,” cannot contact the responsible team, and that I should simply fill out a form and wait.

This is not just poor service. It is a complete lack of accountability.
A logistics company that cannot correct its own mistake or provide any immediate support when something goes wrong is fundamentally unreliable.

If you are running a business and depend on accurate tracking and timely pickups, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING DPD.

Failure to deliver

Surely they can't be called a delivery company if they can't deliver a parcel.

Parcel due on Sunday - no delivery
Monday nothing
Tuesday - received an email confirming slot for today. 1hr past the time slot, received an email to say there has been a problem. There was an issue in my area. Maybe there is ice on the road or heavy snow note ; it's 12 degrees outside at the moment - maybe not
