About Dyson
Dyson was founded on the idea of solving problems that others ignore; vacuum cleaners that clog and lose suction, hand dryers that are energy hungry and don't work, and hair technology that relies on extreme temperatures and cause heat damage.
Since it was established in the UK in 1993, Dyson has grown from one man and one idea to a global technology company with an ever-growing team of engineers and scientists at its core.
Today, Dyson machines are sold in over 65 countries. From cordless vacuum cleaners to air purifiers to hair dryers ; a whole new generation of technology has made its way into the hands of Dyson owners around the world.

All in all, I can't fault the service I received...
Recently our Dyson Nural just stopped working, and I had to reach out to Dyson support. From the get go I had a very good experience, in my initial call I was taken through a bunch of steps to check for issues - and I was then taken through a quick video call so they could see the unit themselves.
After the above, it was agreed I'd have to send it in for repair and a courier was booked for me for the next Friday, however at my request we changed it to the Monday just after. On the Monday as agreed DPD arrived with a box and collected my hairdryer.
2 days later I received an email from Dyson advising they'd received my parcel, and that it would be passed over to the repair team for inspection/repair. After 3 days I received an email from said team letting me know it couldn't be fixed and that support would be in touch with further advice - just 1 hour later I was contacted and a brand new Nural hairdryer was ordered for me and shipped (and my registered hairdryers serial number was updated) - then just 24hrs later it was delivered to me via DPD.
All in all I can't fault the service I received, from the start it was very efficient and I was kept advised throughout - I am very pleased with everything.
I am absolutely appalled by the lack of…
I am absolutely appalled by the lack of professionalism from Dyson UK. I am a loyal customer who owns a total of SIX Dyson products, but this recent experience has completely ruined my trust in the brand. My issue has been ongoing for over two months now. Initially, Dyson customer service contacted me and offered to replace my faulty machine. However, when I replied with a follow-up question asking about alternative options, they completely vanished.Dyson UK has been ignoring my emails for two straight months. Leaving a loyal customer stranded mid-resolution and intentionally ghosting communications is unacceptable. It is deeply frustrating to be treated this way after investing so much money into their ecosystem.Do not trust their customer support. Once they stop replying, you are completely on your own. I demand a senior representative to contact me immediately and resolve my case.
Shocking service Dyson and Royal Mail
I bought an expensive item, including next day delivery. Royal Mail said they attempted to deliver, there has not been any proof to say they had, no calling card posted through the door etc.
Contacted Dyson, their chat bot promised it would be sent next day. Guess what that never happened either, Roysl Mail again later said they tried to deliver again no proof and we were in all day both days. Contacted Dyson again, absolutely panther service, said I would get a call back from a human with 48 hrs!!!!! So 3 days late delivery and can’t speak to Dyson for a further 3 days possibly. Woii hi ld not refund me or indicated they would only initiate a refund after they have received the goods back Then could take 14 days to refund.
So if your thinking of buying an extortionately priced product from Dyson, expecting them to deliver it too you when they said they would, think again and buy a cheaper alternative product and then you won’t have to deal with the disappointment, and really poor customer service.
I can’t express how disappointed I am…
I can’t express how disappointed I am with the whole customer service provided from overseas.
I have always looked at Dyson products as being one of the best, so although pricey, have always thought it was worth it. I’ve purchased different products over the years, one being handheld hoover. One day it just stopped working. After a lot of effort of trying to get to the bottom of things, I decided to purchase a couple of spares parts and managed to get it working (for now). I wanted to return one of the parts that wasn’t needed and found the whole returns process far from straight forward. The thing that has really upset me is how on three occasions speaking with the customer service agents, how astonishingly rude they were. I wasn’t happy with the service so wanted to know where they were based and was boldly told that it isn’t any of my business. Another cancelled my returns label to then tell me there’s nothing he can do, so I’m basically stuck with an item I don’t want or need. Another when querying my refund and asked what will happen if I don’t receive the refund in the time specified was told don’t ask questions that’s not relevant. Have these people done any customer service training. Dyson should be ASHAMED to be charging customers high prices and giving them the lowest of the low customer service experience in order to save money by paying rude, arrogant people. I would not like to think how they speak to their partners but it’s totally unacceptable to think it’s ok to speak with any customer in such a way. I told one I’m not your wife, sister or partner so don’t speak to me like that. I was told if I don’t like it to go.
I will NEVER purchase another Dyson item again in my life. Shame on you Dyson!! Here today, gone tomorrow!
I bought the new Spot & Scrub robot…
I bought the new Spot & Scrub robot vacuum cleaner back in December. Had issues with it from the word go. They said they’d replace it. It took over three months of aborted DPD collections and hours on the phone and three days off work in order to get the second robot. Most of my initial emails were ignored until I wrote directly to James Dyson and the head of customer service. I then received a new robot. It also was faulty. Again took months to get it returned to get my money back. I was offered a discount on the vacuum cleaner which I assumed was compensation for all the issues. Compensation is what I’ve asked for. When I returned the vacuum cleaner, they took that money back off me claiming that it wasn’t compensation it a good will gesture!!
If I could give this company zero, I would. Absolutely appalling customer service and an appalling product.
Whatever you do do not buy this product or buy from Dyson.
What was a bastion of British technology is now producing garbage with garbage customer service.
Disappointed with Dyson
I have been trying to return a Dyson Hot Cool HF1, which works abysmally, I received it on June 23 and contacted Dyson June 26 to make arrangements to return. I am not mobile due to a recent surgery and have no printer; so I made arrangements with Dyson to have the machine picked up. No one showed up on Monday - I waited all day. Called Dyson again. Tuesday someone showed up but no label, so they wouldn't take the Dyson. I called Dyson today again, for a 3rd time, and was told I should have a QR code, which I never received. The customer service rep stated someone will show up tomorrow and they will have a label. Now I am to sit by the door a 3rd day (tomorrow) and wait for the Dyson to be picked-up. I am DISGUSTED with this whole mess. I own several Dyson products and have been pleased with them. I am upset with the direction Dyson seems to be going.
It wasn't worth the money i paid for it
Worst appliance ever purchased
Dyson V11 purchased through John Lewis in June 2025.
Worst Dyson appliance ever purchased.
It has now broken for the fourth time in twelve months. John Lewis powerless to do anything as it is beyond 30 days from
purchase and Dyson will only offer another repair of indefinite time despite replacing the item once already and after a lengthy battle, a replacement part sent in the post.
The product design awful-very heavy and I have never spent more time trying to pull debris from the main pipe because the power boost causes compaction of dust and debris which blocks the airway repeatedly.
I have had two Dyson vacuums previously which have worked perfectly well for years but will never buy one again after the V11.
Avoid this overpriced product at all costs and spare yourself the poor customer service from Dyson.
Appalling Service...!
Ordered a replacement brush roller for a Dyson V6 Animal, wrong size was sent. Tried to contact customer service to get exchanged for the correct size and I was just texted a link to make a return. all automated, no discussion. I wasn't even given any options. I only assume they will refund the total cost as this wasn't even an option, and no paperwork, just a postage label.
So, if this is the future today, from a company like Dyson, who you would expect to know what service is, I don't like it.
This is the third disastrous online shopping experience in two days. All connected with customer service, or lack of. The list of my online shopping destinations is getting smaller....!
Please bring back the High Street!
No customer service...
An inferior replacement head was fitted to my Dyson Ball Total Clean. Serial no. JF1-UK-JDA0071A 18 months ago for £99 by Dyson.
This head is not now working. I called to ask if they can do anything to help, i.e. part-exchange for a lighter/cheaper model as I don't want to pay another £99 for something that doesn't work very well. (The original head had an adjuster on it for different suction options.) I was told by a rather unfriendly 'customer service' man..."we can only replace the head again, nothing else, for another £99."
I asked him can I please have an email address to report my dissatisfaction to the company that nothing else was on offer and he said...
'No, there is no email address, or anyone to read it'.
So thank you Dyson for excellent customer service!!!
Needless to say, I won't be replacing my Dyson with another one, ever!
Shocking behaviour.
Ordered Parts
I placed an order for a replacement vacuum head , nearly a month later I am still waiting for it to be delivered. The apologetic emails and advising they are reaching out to courier are becoming frustrating and unacceptable….. In my opinion don’t buy Dyson, for items that are so expensive , the delivery is unreliable.
What a terrible poor customer…
What a terrible poor customer experience I had & I’m still having, please on order paid for it & waiting for spare part, never arrived, called up Dyson 5 times chasing, no explanation why, still nothing after 25 days so used thier digital agent, the disgust agency on their website cancelled my order even though I didn’t ask them too, so not I’m going to have to start all over again & still have a vacuum that doesn’t work. What an absolute shambles! Up your game Dyson, this is simply not good enough.
Dyson Hot+Cool™ HF1
I recently purchased a Dyson Hot+Cool fan for approximately £360, so I expected a high standard of customer service to match the premium price of the product.
Unfortunately, my experience with Dyson's customer support has been very disappointing. I contacted customer service twice regarding a query about pricing and a possible price adjustment. On both occasions, I found the representatives to be unprofessional in the way they communicated. They did not provide clear information, and one of the chats was closed before my query had been properly addressed.
I do not wish to mention the names of the customer service representatives, as my intention is not to single out individuals. Instead, I hope Dyson reviews the quality of its customer support and provides better training to ensure customers are treated with professionalism and respect.
The product itself may be excellent, but customer service is an equally important part of the overall experience. Based on this experience, I am seriously considering returning my purchase, as I do not feel valued as a customer.
I sincerely hope Dyson takes this feedback constructively and improves its customer service standards in the future.
Absaloutly disgrace
Absaloutly disgrace , my v11 vaccum has nothing but problems an Dyson constantly fobbing me off an I have sent numerous messages an still not resolving , will not buy Dyson again
Shockingly Bad Customer Service — Deeply Disappointed
After my 13‑year‑old Dyson vacuum finally died — and having already bought three fans and a hairdryer from Dyson — I had zero doubt that my next vacuum would also be a Dyson. Their technology has always been excellent, so I ordered a new vacuum cleaner with next‑day delivery.
More than four weeks later, I still had no vacuum, no explanation, and no meaningful support.
First, Dyson tried to convince me that I had entered my address incorrectly. This was simply untrue, the docking station for the vacuum arrived shortly after my order with no issues at all. Later, the story changed and I was told the order never arrived due to a “technical issue.” Not once did Dyson proactively update me. I had to chase them every single day.
Despite Dyson having some of the best technology on the market, their customer service has been the worst I have ever dealt with.
Every reply sounded like it was generated by AI or a chatbot. Responses took days, and when they finally arrived, they were generic, repetitive, and often word‑for‑word identical to previous emails. At times I received the exact same message on consecutive days. Every time I contacted them, it felt like starting a brand‑new conversation with someone who had no idea what had happened before.
I repeatedly asked for a phone call. They attempted once — and never again. I specifically requested a call from a senior member of the complaints team, and that was ignored too.
Dyson initially offered £30 compensation, which doesn’t come close to reflecting the inconvenience, wasted time, and complete lack of service. They have now offered a 25% discount, but only on full‑priced items. If I were to reorder the same vacuum today using that discount, it would actually cost more than my original order because the item was on sale at the time. Dyson simply doesn’t care.
And to add insult to injury: after waiting more than four weeks for a next day delivery order that never arrived, I now have to wait up to 14 days for my refund.
I genuinely believed Dyson was a premium brand with premium service. Their products may be excellent, but their customer service is absolutely not. This experience has been unacceptable from start to finish, and I will think very carefully before ever buying from Dyson again.
Shame on you Dyson!
⚠️DO NOT BUY AN DYSON AIR PURIFIER
DO NOT BUY AN Dyson AIR PURIFIER,
TO REPLACE THE FILTERS EVERY YEAR WITHOUT ANY Choice WILL set you back £75 each year. So not only are you paying £££ hundreds of pounds for the machine itself, you are also having to spend every year £75 minimum or the machine doesn’t work!!!!
It’s a blantant rip off.
GO IKEA AND BUY THEIR AIR PURIFIER FOR HALF THE PRICE OF A DYSONS at IKEA they are only £150 plus their replacement filters are only £10 - £20, it’s a no brainer!!
BASICALLY MY DYSON AIR PURIFIER IS NOW COLLECTING DUST IN MY LOFT as I refuse to spend every year £75 on a replacement filters!!!
ALWAYS CHECK BEFORE BUYING ANY DYSON PRODUCT WITH WHAT NEEDS REPLACING AND THE COST!
Huge disapointment with Dyson's product and Customer Care
I was disappointed both with my experience of Dyson customer service and with my purchase of the Dyson Cool 07 Tower Fan.
The product is beautifully designed and well made, but I personally misunderstood its functionality. From the name "Dyson Cool" and the premium price point, I expected a product that would noticeably reduce room temperature rather than simply circulate existing air. Unfortunately, for my needs during hot weather, the effect was not significantly different from that of my much less expensive conventional fan.
What disappointed me most, however, was the customer service experience. When I contacted Dyson shortly after the return period had expired to ask whether an exception could be considered, the response felt very scripted and inflexible, with no consideration of individual circumstances despite the machine being in perfect condition and in its original packaging.
I also found the 14-day return period for fans and air treatment products surprisingly short for a premium brand. Many major companies offer 30-day returns, which gives customers the opportunity to experience a product in different conditions and decide whether it truly meets their needs.
This is particularly important for cooling products, because you often only discover whether a fan is suitable once genuinely hot weather arrives. In my case, the first real heat arrived after the return window had already expired. I had only used the machine once before realising that it was not suitable for my needs, yet I was left unable to return what was essentially a brand-new product.
As a result, the overall experience left me disappointed and changed my perception of Dyson as a premium, customer-focused brand. Unfortunately, I am now less likely to consider purchasing Dyson products again in the future or recommend Dyson for anybody I trully care for.
Bought a tower fan today its absolutely…
Bought a tower fan today its absolutely useless in this very hot weather spent £350 on it ,they see us coming a cheaper version would have done the same job and Proberly better
3x Dyson Tower Fan failures in 3-years - DO NOT BUY
Bought 2x Dyson Tower Fans in June 23.
One failed after a few months and was replaced under warranty. The replacement then failed after a year - fortunately it was just before 2nd anniversary of original purchase so Dyson took it back and repaired it, as was within its 2-yr guarantee period.
Now the other fan has failed after just 3x years of occasional use.
For such expensive fans they are poor quality should last better.
