About Dyson
Dyson was founded on the idea of solving problems that others ignore; vacuum cleaners that clog and lose suction, hand dryers that are energy hungry and don't work, and hair technology that relies on extreme temperatures and cause heat damage.
Since it was established in the UK in 1993, Dyson has grown from one man and one idea to a global technology company with an ever-growing team of engineers and scientists at its core.
Today, Dyson machines are sold in over 65 countries. From cordless vacuum cleaners to air purifiers to hair dryers ; a whole new generation of technology has made its way into the hands of Dyson owners around the world.

The poor reviews says it all!!
What an over rated product! My mother had a Hoover for 30 years and it was still going when she passed away. I have had 3 Dysons over a ten year period and I blame myself for believing not once, but three times in a disappointing product. The components do not last. They miraculously break just after the warranty expires. The plastics become brittle over time with the result that my Dyson has been glued, taped...you name it, just to keep it operational. I can only use the low setting because I kid not...the high setting lasts 23 seconds! I wouldn't recommend a Dyson to anyone. Ever.
No refund after return
Bought a fan, it was expensive and absolutely useless. Returned it, and 3 weeks later no refund. Dyson now claim we sent them an empty box. Never imagined that I could have such an experience with such a well-known company. Avoid at all costs. Don’t waste your time or money.
If only I'd seen the reviews, first.
I recently purchased a Dyson hairdryer from John Lewis, which arrived bang on time.
I then bought a stand for it, direct from Dyson.
The lead time was stated, on my order confirmation, as three to five working days.
I heard nothing from Dyson or their courier, after the promised time scale. I contacted customer service and was given no solution and told it would be passed to the back office to investigate. I was promised a return call, but it might be up to five(more) working days.
That time has passed. After contacting customer service, again , I was given the same run around.
I was given yet another 5 day promise.
That will be 3 weeks with no guarantee of my delivery or a call back.
I wish I had seen all the reviews before I made my purchase.
This is the last thing I will buy from you, Mr Dyson! Should I ever receive it!
False advertising and misselling. Read this before you buy from Dyson
When does 'what tools ARE included' with your vac mean what tools ARE NOT included with your vac?... When you order from Dyson!
Just ordered a V8 cyclone. Within the description of the vacuum under frequently asked questions it states a list of tools included. Arrived today to find half of these tools missing.
Contact customer services who argue that the stated 'what tools are included' doesn't actually mean that these tools are included?! So what does it mean? I'll tell you, false advertising and misselling.
I then attempt to get an email for a manager of which customer services team refused me. I've tried 7 email addresses so far to find a contact to provide the evidence of this mis sell and false advertising. All emails fail to be delivered or are unmonitored. There is no way to raise a complaint appropriately.
The fact that customer service wanted to argue with me over the black and white stated fact of this from their own website is appalling. Coming from retail background you generally honour your mistakes in advertising to avoid follow-up issues and trading standards, complaints etc. Dyson don't seem bothered by this.
If no response I will write a letter and post it as seems no other way. Clearly done in order to reduce customer complaints handling as most will give up. Not me. I'm afraid you upset the wrong customer Dyson. I will persue until this is dealt with.
DO NOT BUY FROM DYSON
DO NOT BUY FROM DYSON
Ordered a travel hair dryer on 2nd June for next day delivery.
Been and returned from holiday & still no hair dryer.
Several phoned calls & emails to customer services … worse than useless.
6th June email telling me to allow 24/48hrs for them to get back to me.
16th June still waiting.
paid for the brand name, got cheap plastic
Honestly dyson is becoming the apple of home appliances but with worse quality control. The tools perform fine initially, but the plastic trigger on my handheld unit cracked under normal usage. They refuse to exchange the main body without me shipping the whole box back and waiting for weeks. A premium British brand should not have such sloppy customer service.it is powerful, but durability is low key trash..
Failed Online Order, Refund Delay, and Poor Service at Dyson Oxford Street Store
I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the extremely disappointing experience I have had with both Dyson’s online order process and the customer service at your Oxford Street store.
On 24 April 2026, my friend purchased a Dyson V8 vacuum online for me with the next-day delivery option. However, the item was never delivered, nor was delivery ever properly attempted, despite the order status repeatedly suggesting otherwise day after day. After numerous cancellation requests through customer service, we were repeatedly told that the order would be cancelled and a refund would be processed, but this never happened.
As a result, my friend had to visit the Dyson Oxford Street store in person on 16 May 2026. Only then was the online order finally cancelled and the refund processed. As a gesture of goodwill, the store offered her a deal if she purchased a Gen1 Air Purifier Hot & Cold together with the Dyson V8 Vacuum. At the time of purchase, your employee, Bashir, clearly stated that both products could be returned within 35 days.
After 29 days, on Sunday, June 14th, I took the Gen1 air purifier back to the Oxford Street store for return, as the “Cool” function appeared to be no more than a fan for ventilation, with no actual cooling or cold temperature control. I carried the 8 kg box to the store for approximately 45 minutes, only to be met with an extremely unhelpful and unprofessional response from the alleged store manager, Kamar.
I explained that Bashir had specifically stated the return window was 35 days to my friend at the time of purchase. However, I was told that the store return window was only 14 days. When I asked whether Bashir could be contacted to clarify the information he had provided at the time of purchase, I was told he was on annual leave, out of the country, and unreachable until the end of the month. No effort was made to take responsibility for the conflicting information provided by your staff, and I was effectively held responsible for Dyson’s lack of internal communication and policy knowledge.
The store team refused to provide any practical solution and suggested that I call customer service instead. When I contacted customer service by phone, I was told they could only assist with online orders, and they were confused as to why I was instructed to do that. This was extremely frustrating, as it left me being passed between Dyson’s store and customer service teams, with neither side willing to take ownership of the issue.
Following this, I contacted Dyson customer service via live chat, where the matter was resolved within minutes, and I was immediately provided with a return label for a pickup point. This clearly demonstrates that a solution was available all along, yet the Oxford Street store staff either did not know how to assist or simply chose not to.
The attitude and lack of customer care shown by the Oxford Street store team, and especially Kamar's, were unacceptable. Dyson is a premium brand, and customers reasonably expect a professional, informed, and solution-oriented service experience. Instead, I experienced poor communication, inconsistent policy information, a complete lack of empathy and interest, and an unwillingness to help.
Dyson should formally investigate this matter, particularly the conduct and training of the Oxford Street store team, including the conflicting information provided regarding the return period.
Dyson have literally stolen my money
I have tried to resolve this issue with Dyson now for one month.
I ordered a Supersonic Nural for £299.99, and an Airstraight for £349.99. I accidentally ordered these items twice, and there began a horirble experience with Dyson. They informed me on 20th May that the two items had been returned to their warehouse and would be refunded within 14 days.
On 30th May I received a refund of £299.99 for the Supersonic Nural. But as of today, 7th June, I had not received the refund for the Airstraight.
Dyson were contractually obliged to refund the £349.99 within 14 days of return of the items. 28 days later and they I havent received a full refund.
I received an email from Dyson on 7th June admitting that they had received both items and would refund me within five working days. Then on 14th they emailed me again to ask for proof of postage.
Essentially an employee of this company has stolen the returned item or an incompetant within the company hasnt logged the return. The result is that Dyson has stollen £350 of my money.
I have given them ample time to resolve the matter, and now have no choice but to report the company for theft, contact a lawyer and begin an online campaign to warn the public about this disreputable company.
Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid this company at all costs! Purchased item on the 1st of June as next day delivery and it’s 2 weeks now the item has not even been posted! Pathetic customer service and back office communications, Dyson is not even letting me cancel the order so no postage no item and no refund, disgusting company and customer service, poor service!
Dyson Big Ball 2 animal vacuum
I recently purchased the Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner to replace my older Dyson cylinder, which had been excellent for many years.
I chose the Animal model specifically for cat hair. Initially, I was disappointed that the supplied pneumatic cleaner head did not pick up visible cat hair from my carpet as effectively as expected. I also discovered that my older Dyson turbo head would not fit the new machine without a quick-release adaptor.
My first contact with Customer Services was frustrating, as I was given incorrect information and told the machine was not designed for picking up pet hair. However, after escalating the matter, Dyson’s Executive Team formally apologised, refunded the adaptor cost, and helped resolve the issue.
With the quick-release adaptor fitted, I can now use my older turbo head, and the vacuum picks up animal hair efficiently again.
My honest view: the machine has strong suction and works well with the correct tool, but Dyson should make the pet-hair tool guidance and adaptor compatibility much clearer in their sales literature. Consumers should also be prepared for a possible 10-working-day delivery window when ordering parts or accessories.
Credit to Dyson’s Executive Team for resolving the matter professionally.
Disappointing customer service
I am extremely disappointed with Dyson's customer service.
My Airwrap stopped working after just two months of use. After contacting customer support, I was promised a replacement device and repeatedly assured that it would arrive within 24–48 hours. However, weeks later, I am still waiting.
I have had to chase updates multiple times, and every interaction results in the same promise without any action. No one seems willing to take ownership of the issue, and there has been no meaningful communication or progress. The tracking information has not been updated, leaving me completely in the dark.
For a premium brand with premium pricing, I expected far better after-sales support. The product failure is disappointing, but the lack of accountability, poor communication, and ongoing delays have been even more frustrating.
I would not expect this level of service from a company with Dyson's reputation
Rubbish machine and rubbish customer service
Bought a Cyclone V10 last June. Not cheap, brand new. It is now broken, within a year of purchase. The start button is stuck and won't turn off. Huge waste of energy! Tried to get hold of their customer service on the phone (they only give a phone number no email.Lady on phone said the system had failed and she could not help.
Will never buy from Dyson again
Will never buy from Dyson again. I bought because of next day delivery and will not receive for 5 days. Customer service useless don't even waste your time with them. Can't cancel an order even when they fail to deliver. DPD are useless, say they missed you when they just didn't attempt delivery. Customer service 0 out of 10, they couldn't care less.
Copilot advises better than Dyson adviser
I contacted Dyson by chat to have confirmation on the spare part number I needed as their website provides no information. Copilot AI had told me to order spare part 970142. Dyson adviser in the chat told me to order spare part 965321. I stupidly followed the advice of the Dyson adviser. The spare part does not fit! Honestly… I am now having to deal with returning the item, and there is no email address you can write to make a complaint.
Ordered a Dyson V8 cordless vacume…
Ordered a Dyson V8 cordless vacume cleaner on 1st June 2026 and was promised next day delivery. Nearly 2 weeks now and still no delivery. When you chat to someone at Dyson all you get is someone will be in touch with you in 24hrs to 48hrs and you get no calls within that time. When you cancel the order you do not get your refund until 14 days and ther is no gurantee the money will be refunded.
The customer care service is lousy. :-(
RIP OFF !!!!
Phoned last week my hoover head is broken in warranty don’t have the part no one’s got in touch or cares ! I’ve got disability but they don’t care they expect me to buy the part!!! Anyway I call back this week after waiting for the relevant team no one has contacted me . I spoke on the phone today he was unhelpful he can’t do nothing after me saying I don’t go anywhere I’ll stick with shark next time! Still got no hoover
I have a Dyson V15 Detect Absolute
I have a Dyson V15 Detect Absolute. 3 years old. Paid £630 for it.
It has developed the known/common capacitor issue. Cuts out 10 times before running.
Dyson chat, and phone helpline will do nothing to help me with this ‘premium’ machine, other than buy £160 replacement parts.
Think very carefully about Dyson if you value reliability.
I will be going elsewhere for home appliances.
Very disappointing experience with…
Very disappointing experience with Dyson support.
My Dyson Airwrap stopped working, so I contacted Dyson and spent a considerable amount of time completing video verification, providing the serial number and arranging a repair collection. I was told my machine would be collected on a specific day.
Nobody arrived.
I received no update, no explanation and no follow-up communication.
A few days later, I received an email asking me to leave feedback about my experience. When I clicked the survey link, the survey had already been closed.
I have since tried to contact Dyson again but have been unable to reach anyone.
I do not have endless time to chase a repair service that should have worked correctly from the beginning. The product failure was disappointing, but the customer service experience has been even more disappointing.
I expected a much higher standard from a premium brand.
Ordered a vacuum and it arrived with…
Ordered a vacuum and it arrived with tools missing, so I called and they arranged for them to be sent. It was then I found out that they hadn't even installed any filters to the machine. I was told it would take 10 days for the filters to arrive. When i said I would get them myself locally and I would like a partial refund I was told that Dyson don't do that! Dyson's 'policy' is to ignore consumer rights in the UK and force a remedy of their choosing onto you. Call trading standards if this happens to you, it is an illegal practice.
Dyson is flat out stealing at this rate…
Dyson is flat out stealing at this rate they simply don’t deliver the goods.
The support staff behave like bad a.i. and resolve nothing.
Do not order from Dyson directly under any circumstances they’ve lost me as a customer.
