I have read all the bad reviews…

I have read all the bad reviews regarding Edward Jones, Fortunately, this was not my experience at all. I worked with Nick Spicola (Edward Jones) in Parker Colorado. Nick was always responsive, returned calls, emails and texts immediately AND was always available. He explained what he was doing every step of the way and very genuinely listened to what I wanted to do with my money, additionally I was kept updated. Unfortunately, I received some very bad news regarding my health and needed to withdraw everything that I had invested. Nick got on it immediately, there were never any of the issues that I've read about in the other reviews. I guess it really is about the personality of the advisor that you're working with and I really lucked out with Nick.

Edward Jones is a joke

Edward Jones is a joke. I can't purchase a stock because it is under 1.00 per share because it is too risky. But, their mutual funds are fine even though they lose money constantly. My track record is better than theirs. They want to keep you invested in mutual funds due to kick backs. Stay away from these morons.

I am giving a 1 Star Review to Bobby…

I am giving a 1 Star Review to Bobby Gibbs at Edward Jones based on how my account was handled. I was recommended by a friend to try Edward Jones in Kapolei. His Rep was Kevin but I wanted to give Bobby a chance to earn my business. I had funds at Fidelity and Charles Swab and was looking to move my Fidelity account with someone closer to home. I made an appointment with Bobby Gibbs and we talked about what I was looking for. I wanted to mirror what I had at Fidelity and have my new accounts at Edward Jones be the same and then make changes later. On our second meeting, he had a selection of funds for my Traditional IRA he wanted me to invest in.
I went with his recommendations. As soon as my funds went into these funds/stocks everything began to drop rapidly. I was disappointed because he is the expert. The drop continued for months. I wanted to open a Sep IRA account, instead he opened a Roth IRA. I wanted to switch to a CD and told him I would take a loss. He said he would watch it daily but never called me to let me know when the stock would go up. There were times when I could have lost much less if he would have called me or acted on it. The opportunity came and went. I finally had to go back into the office and insist he moves everything into a CD. I had lost trust in him. Some of the information he gave me was inaccurate. I visited his office several times relay my discontent but he never caught on that i wanted to sell. He does not act or respond quickly on my interests. In the end, I could no longer reward him with caring for my account. My mistake was I trusted Bobby. I should have transferred my Fidelity account to my Charles Swab account and never bothered with Edward Jones. Don't make the same mistakes I have made. If Bobby is handling your account make sure it's what you want and not something he recommends because, in today's economy, his strategy is a Big Mistake. He even closed my account while my fund was not completely transferred. I received emails with notifications of new documents, but I was not able to access them because he locked me out. "Update" I received a letter from Edward Jones Corp with their finding, which was as expected. They said they went by his notes. The truth is Bobby and I had talked for over 72 hours in regard to my account. Edward Jones never reached out to me. They performed a mild review of my account and are wrong in their findings that Bobby Gibb did not misrepresent my needs as an Edward Jones Client.

I was with Edward Jones for 10 years

I was with Edward Jones for 10 years, until I knew better. They are just another cookie cutter company. They provide you with a plan based on age primarily that just divides up you portfolio in set categories. It's just software, not real management. Fees are high for no legitimate reason. Don't forget, this is the company that got busted for taking illegal kickbacks from funds to promote their products.

EDWARD JONES customer service is less than worthless

I have been a customer/client of Edward Jones for going on 4 years. I have let them manage the account and until this year their performance has been above average. This year their performance has been horrible and made worse by ever higher fees. To try and keep better track of things I tried to set up my online access, but things went downhill very quickly. I dealt with a ridiculous verification process, finally got through it and went to login. Kept getting a message that there was a problem so please try again or call a customer service number. I tried twice more and got the same message so I called the customer service number. Suprise they don't have customer service except for few hours. Apparently they also don't worry about problems with their site except when they don't have anything else to do. Given the fees they charge I would expect top notch customer service and quick response to online technical problems but I now know that is not the case. I expect to be a "former customer " within the next few days. Given their declining performance and their terrible customer support I don't think it will be hard to replace them at lower cost and at least comparable performance and it won't take much to beat their customer service.

Love Edward Jones managing my investments

I am giving 5 stars to Edward Jones but they really belong to my financial advisor Mr. Chad Clemons. Give Edward Jones a try knowing your experience will depend solely on your advisor. I got lucky being referred to Chad. No matter who the advisor is they have access to tremendous resources from the Edward Jones Company.

Too much of hidden fees

Too much hidden fees... and the fees are really high for a retirement account. The best i could was diversify, if you want to diversify like me search for "libbey jane bean" on google, she is well known and can manage portfolio to yield to better return on investment. The best part is you only pay her when you make your profit.

Many local offices run by very…

Many local offices run by very different personalities and qualifications. For a $200,000 portfolio the last years fees and charges was over $3,000. They make it way too complicated and expensive for simple management of portfolios. Comparison? For the same basic service Vanguard charges $600, 1/5th of Edward Jones. Hard to make up large fees in retirement accounts. Is Edward Jones 5X better than Vanguard. NO WAY, NOT EVEN CLOSE. Vanguard is actually better due to simplification, lower fees and much better results. Don't get fooled by their personalized sales pitch.
