Very smooth, easy journey to remortgage - quick responses to questions - would definately use again.

Terrible communication and an awful confusing customer portal - it was unclear what tasks I had to complete, several requests for information that had already been provided by myself or my broker, no responses to emails sent to them, slow to respond to queries (or no response at all) causing delays and stress.
A failure to act on information provided to them lead to additional inconvenience and cost to me as I could not use the e-Deed process, This took so long for them to post out, I was forced to run around getting witnesses and posting back guaranteed next-day delivery.
Added extra fees to the completion statement incorrectly and then tried to make out that it was for something different (also not confirmed in any of their information to me). This is still unresolved, with only a quick 'brush-off' having been provided to date.
Issue money to me via second class post, so this took 8 days to reach me. All the time I am having to pay interest on this while not having the benefit of the funds. What a terrible way to treat people - I have never encountered a firm sending any important post to customers via second class post, let alone for something that causes actual financial loss because of how long it takes. This is an indication of what they think about their customers - second class.

Enact made something so daunting seem pretty simple. How? Because they have above standard staff. I called numerous times because the jargon and forms made me want to just stop the process of buying out my ex partner but the telephone staff helped me through that process. I am very very greatful that the lovely people that work for Enact helped me with the most exciting chapter in my life.

So I have been through a mortgage remortgage with a different vendor at a different time of my life, but I have to say Enact is really good with their software and updates every single thing that happens on the platform. Everything they will inform you via email and on their platform as well. It's not like some of the conveyancers that just go through the email and get lost tracking or miscommunicate in that way. Every step will reflect correctly on that platform. You're basically just going to follow whatever they told you on the platform, so it's super clear. Only one thing I would suggest they do is, especially for people who are first time onboarding on this platform, there is some information. I, as a person who does mortgage, have no idea. Ideally, they will provide this information as a bullet point so we can plan ahead. Otherwise, there would be a delay in the remortgage because I just do not have that information by hand, and it took time to get that information from different sources.

Extremely poor communication. Lots of chasing, lots of errors and delays. They ended up delaying the completion date (without telling me) because they were “too busy” to process the information received despite it being well within the required timelines. This ended up costing me as I went onto the standard rate of my old mortgage which is very penal.
Still waiting for the complaints department to get in touch…. Despite two chasers already!!
Avoid if you can.
