use Evernote for everything
use Evernote for everything. it's my categorically-organized brain. Say no more.
My go-to for
Evernote has been my go-to note taking software for over 12 years. What has consistently kept me is the ease of the interface and the quick search speed. The constant feature updates have only made it better. I'm a big fan of the templates and the outlook integration.
Just go away !

Go away. I'm searching how to export efficiently all my 15 000 notes (I was one of the first customers more than 13 years ago) and I'm going away. Period.
literally love this app
literally love this app. I used it back in 2010 for my first undergraduate and now using it for my graduate degree in a health science field. It does so much and may take some time to learn the little things, but very worth it. I take notes faster and can actually study neat notes. It has embedded links, ability to create various notebooks, and a type of ai technology i use to look up definitions or concepts.

The app used to be very fast and seamless to use but along the way it just got more bloated and hogged down.
Powerful core, but bloated and overpriced
Evernote remains the gold standard when it comes to note organization, tagging, and search. The way you can structure and retrieve information is genuinely unmatched, and that keeps me coming back despite my frustrations.
But those frustrations are real. Over the years, Evernote has piled on features that have nothing to do with note-taking, like task management, and more recently a wave of AI functionality that I didn't ask for. Each addition seems to come with a higher price tag, making this one of the most expensive note-taking tools on the market. It no longer feels like a focused product.
What also baffles me is the lack of native Windows on ARM support. If you're running an ARM-based laptop, you're stuck with the standard x86 version running through emulation, which is noticeably slow. For a premium product at a premium price, this is simply not good enough.
The bitter irony is that I know there are cheaper, leaner alternatives out there that would actually run better on my hardware. The only thing keeping me from switching is vendor lock-in. Years of notes, tags, and organizational structure are not easy to migrate. Evernote knows this, and I can't help feeling that their pricing strategy reflects it.
I really like the improvements with AI
I really like the improvements with AI, etc. However, you are still behind and need to improve AI at a faster pace.

This program is incredibly useful but also has loads of glitches that they could easily fix. Instead they are trying to make constant changes and "improvements" that, for me at least, aren't improvements. I'd rather have software that works every time and never changes than glitchy software.
I miss the legacy version
I miss the legacy version!
dicontinued sometimes around 2023 and it was definitelly better in:
* Quick notetaking, better work with taggs
* Better quick search, comfortable and reliable UI
* A faster and more reliable mobile app
* Better offline performance
* Less fancy but more more practical controls
Yes, now the interface and note appearance look more modern. Nice typefaces etc... BUT I cant enjoy it when the mentioned troubles suck me!
Migrating to another app is also very difficult. I have more than 13,000 notes.
Give me the Lagacy BACK
The best. Don't think twice - but be prepared to work - it can store and retreive your info reliably but you need to be more organised over time.
After some difficult years, Evernote is living up to its promise - searching is very fast and the new AI facility is a daily go-to and a search enhancement. Highly recommended.

Unique
Unique. Probably the only app I could not live without. Hundreds of notes (my entire life) for work, home, projects, ideas, etc. Folders make it so easy to organize, and it gets better every month. Thank you, thank you

I use it everyday to organize my thoughts, track to-dos, and to record personal knowledge. I don't ever want to lose it! It is so useful to be able to search all of my notes and figure out if I've already solved a problem before.

I’ve been using Evernote for over a decade, and I’ve always loved it. It’s clear that Evernote has been making great efforts to keep up with the AI era through continuous updates and improvements, and I truly appreciate that.
There are far too many updates
There are far too many updates. While security updates are necessary, I wish you wouldn't push frequent updates just to add new features. I use this software for work. Having new features introduce bugs that require repeated follow-up updates just gets in the way of my work. It is absolutely disastrous when a bug renders the software unusable. I understand the desire to roll out the latest features quickly, but please reconsider your release strategy. You should make early releases available for those who want to test new features, while providing a stable version—one that has undergone bug fixes, proven stable over time, and passed code reviews—for those who simply need reliability.
A simple solution would be to offer a choice—similar to Windows Update—regarding whether or not to receive early release versions.
Let me say this again: I only need a stable version. Stop using ordinary users for debugging.
