Slightly delayed but arrived OK. Great Price

Ordered Motorola double walkie talkie set. Forecast 10 day delivery but in the event nearer 15. No problem as I wasn't in a hurry. Queried delay and received prompt reply indicting revised timescale which proved accurate.

I had noticed some poor reviews on this site but I have to say I am more than happy with product and overall service,

The very worst company I have ever dealt with

I will never use this company again! The item I ordered arrived too late to be of any use - 13 days after it was ordered. There was no information in the package to tell me how to return it, so I had to phone the company. Calls cost 13p a minute! The first time I was held in a queue for 15 minutes and then cut off. The second time I was kept waiting for 35 minutes, 10 of those minutes I was apparently 1st in line. The earlier call cost me £1.95, the later one cost me £4.55 - a total of £6.50. Totally unacceptable customer service. I am told the package will be picked up and I will be refunded in full - I don't think I will hold my breath.

This order.was not delivered.As there is no address,I can't chase it up.Also,I placed this order in october and the competition closes in September.I reckon this outfit are shoddy at best.Not recommended.

Great prices, slow delivery

Extak say on their website that they have thousands of items in stock,. However, I believe they are mainly re-sellers. Due to this, they have a wide selection of items available at excellent prices but their delivery is a bit slow.
I ordered two PC components from them. They arrived 1 day after the latest estimated delivery day but were great value for money and in perfect condition.

Appalling - no delivery, don't answer phones

I ordered a toy for my daughter and was told this would take 2 weeks to arrive. It didn't arrive. No-one replied to my query submitted via the website; no-one answered the phones - I would get to the front of the queue and then be hung up on.

This company is appalling and if they don't deliver this gift I'll report them to trading standards. Disgraceful.

DO NOT TOUCH No goods, and no refund

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY. I ordered a printer from this company. they showed 10 in stock when the order was placed. After 3 days they still showed 10 in stock, and my order was in progress, due to be delivered to me in a few days. On the day it was due to be delivered they emailed me to say it was out of stock. On contacting them they said they had been recalled by manufacturer. This I knew was not true as I am an approved retailer from that manufacturer, and that particular model was now out of manufacture. I only ordered from extak as I had a specific need for that model.
I told them to cancel and refund me.
Surprise surprise no refund has come forward. Now when I try to log into their site they have deleted my details so cannot get to the order history. When I try to phone them you join a queue on a premium rate number. When you get to the front it is to an electronic mail box, which is full and cant take your message. They do not respond to emails. I have reported them to a number of agencies including safebuy who seem to have accredited them. Safebuy have contacted them, but as yet you guessed it there is no response.
They take your money. They keep your money, they do not send you your goods.
Simples

after many attempts I did get a refund.
but only after Linda Ellis from mediate@safebuy.org.uk stepped in.

All OK - eventually !!

Where to begin - I ordered two items on 13th September , both were showing as in stock and the prices were great. I opted for the free delivery which said 3-5 days carrier. However, after placing my order and making payment I noticed that the expected delivery date was showing 8 working days after my order. At least in my case I had the comfort of seeing "stock allocated".

When the goods didn't arrive I emailed Extak via their web form for an update. No reply. I emailed again on the 25th and this time I got a reply next day, saying there had been a slight delay. The items were eventually despatched to me on 30th September and arrived today 3rd October. There was no status update on the website until after the goods were despatched.

Now, this seems to me to be a long wait for items that are in stock, after all the other items I ordered from other vendors on the same day arrived in 2-3 days with free delivery. It turns out that with this lot "in stock" means "in stock somewhere in Europe". It does tell you this if you click through various links, but it isn't obvious. I didn't understand this at the time and was very disappointed with the service, I could have paid a little more and got the goods much more quickly.

To be clear - the items are held in a central European warehouse and sent to Extak UK for checking before being posted to the buyer.

I don't believe in bashing companies for no good reason, but this lot have a few lessons to learn about customer service - in particular updating order progress on their web site, clearly showing that there will be a delay when that is know from the outset (not using "In Stock" would be a start) and replying to emails.

I suggest you only use this vendor if you are mad keen on price and don't mind waiting a few weeks for delivery - a bit like ordering goods from Hong Kong because they are cheaper, but you just have to wait.

No place for their business practices in the modern marketplace.

Utterly disgusted, ordered an item 10 days ago, said it would be delivered between 30th sept - 3rd oct. Today is their last day, 30 minutes ago I receive an email saying the item is now out of stock (It was listed as in stock when I bought it) I ring up and manage to get through to someone who says that there has been a delay and the item will be another 5 days.

I asked if they could guarantee delivery by 8th of October and was told they could not. These delivery times are utterly unacceptable, I currently feel as though it is chance whether I will receive my item or not which is not a good way to feel about a purchase. I can buy safe from Amazon (even if it costs a few pounds more) in the knowledge that I will either get the item or a refund promptly if there is a problem.

It seems that this company which is a reinvention of the company WAE+ still haven't learned a lesson. This company will crash and burn, mark my words. And I will have no sympathy for the people in charge when it happens, only for their customers who will lose their money and their customer support staff who must have to deal with all kinds of abuse from angry customers.

Useless company run by useless People.


Edit: I have now decided to cancel my order (Managed to get through on the phone) and am going to pay £2 more and order from amazon with next day delivery.

UPDATE: Still haven't received a refund from this company. Just don't order, they have stolen my money.

AVOID - 3 weeks and items still not delivered!!

Ordered on 12th September, despite several phone calls and broken promises items have still not been delivered after 3 weeks. Have had enough and cancelled the order and awaiting a refund.
Worst service ever experienced online.....very poor!!
No way to run a business.

Poor communication and poor delivery times

I would be reluctant to use Extak again because I am still waiting on the delivery of items that were ordered on the 17th Sept. Firstly I get an email to confirm the items were out of stock, and this email didn't reach me until 5 days after I ordered them.

Secondly, I waited a further week and chased again, only to be told that the items I have ordered are faulty therefore were not dispatched.
This fact was not communicated to me and I had to chase Extak to find this out.

I am still waiting for my order.........

Extak bring car crashes to the computing world

1) Slow delivery, much slower than projected time periods
2) Delivery time slipped twice, this is despite all items being listed as in stock before purchase.
3) No updates regarding slipped delivery time, only available though premium rate support number and even then they were still wrong
4) Extak cancelled an item after over two weeks of waiting for delivery. This was communicated to me by a hand-written note on the invoice included with other items when they finally arrived over a week late.
5) I had to phone the premium rate number to get them to initiate a refund on the cancelled item (that item costing over £100). I have still yet to see that money returned
6) They delivered an incorrect item (CPU) to me. and the item actually delivered is over £30 cheaper than the one ordered.
7) The incorrect item delivered was actually already opened when I opened the parcel. This is probably a returned item from a different customer. How can I trust this given it may have blown up someone else's system already?
8) Their online returns process does not work. I have had two open returns cases for over half a week now and both are still "pending"
9) I have over £250 sitting with them waiting on this item being returned. They have yet to issue a courier demand to return the item so they are going to sit on this money a lot longer if things continue at the current pace. Their customer services had no suggestions on how to speed this up.
10) I have in total spent over an hour on hold trying to talk to their premium rate customer services, and whenever I get through the only thing they can do is send emails to the returns department and acknowledge that returns should be processing the requests.
11) Given the above over the last 3 weeks I am now in the process of contacting my credit card company as it appears to be a potential case of fraud, rather than incompetence in all areas of their business.

Absolutely disgusting

I cannot contact Extak on their website number as I have now been passed to a full voice mail 5 times!!!!! They also do not promptly respond to emails and their quick customer response button does not work.

Reconsider any purchases from this company

Ordered from this firm but despite a delivery date on their site the software has not arrived. After calls, emails and writing I am still unable to get a response and query the order. I have begun steps to reclaim my costs.
I strongly suggest you reconsider any purchases from Extak.

Fraudulent site? Have paid for goods over 3 weeks ago and no goods, no reply to email.

The web site seems good, the products are marked as in stock, but I ordered on the 10th Sept - item marked as in stock on the web - they still are as of 2 Oct 2013.
On 12 Sept I get an email saying item out of stock. Web site says still in stock.
Is this a scam site? I have emailed them with no response regarding cancellation of order. Their 0843 number seems "busy" while they charge you for the privilege.
Next stop Birmingham trading standards I think if I don't get a resolution today.
