Roger at Shrewsbury was fantastic from…

Roger at Shrewsbury was fantastic from start to finish. We originally had work done at another branch of F1 who did wheel alignment and 4 new tyres.

However the alignment was out more after the car had left the other branch although they were friendly it put my partner off due to paying to have them aligned correctly.

My partner advised taking it to the Shrewsbury arm of F1, and I cannot fault Roger on how he handled our car. He is super knowledgeable and put my partner at ease that his car would be sorted.

Sure as his word 45 mins and the car was done he explained the tolerance of what the wheels should be aligned too, the car now drives as it did when the car was purchased.

Unbeatable

One of the lads from work had a noise on his car. I called John who told him to bring in first thing next morning. Needed new disc which they had to order. John brought the guy into work and told him it be ready at lunch time. Lunch time came, John called him to say it was ready.. Do you need picking up. So that's what he did. Thanks for looking after em. Great service as ever

Brilliant service as always by John

Brilliant service as always by John and team. Booked in for a very last minute MOT as I forgot. The team got me in no problem. Very open and transparent. Not only passed but the advisories put right at a very fair price. Highly recommend.

F1 and john couldnt of been more helpful with my break problems talked me through was was wrong and told me wot i needed with bery good prices ans excellent service car feels like new would recommend them 👍5 ⭐

absolutely disappointed

I was at the centre in March 2026 to work on my front wheels (Toyota Avensis 2011). I explained to the fellow at the counter/reception that I want a thorough check on these front wheels ncluding tyres, drop links, tracking et al.

Then, I was advised to go and he would contact me via the phone to tell me their findings and cost implications would be advised accordingly.

I waited for hours, and no call was received until I called at about 1700hours. And I was told that the car has been fixed and I should start coming (as they will be closed by 1800hours).

To my amazement, it was told that it was only tracking that the car required. I asked how about the two tyres, absorber and drop link. The response was that they are in good state.

Driving the car after this supposed tracking, I was not conceived about the job done. So, I took the car to two other garages where my fear was confirmed.

The tyre on driver side was bad, absorber was gone, traction ends were gone.

I am absolutely disappointed with the service - despite being referred.

John and his team were fantastic today

John and his team were fantastic today! I noticed I had a flat tyre at 4.55pm so I called up and John very kindly said he’d wait for me if I could get there straight away - they close at 5pm usually. I arrived expecting to pay £100 for a new tyre and was amazed to find John had repaired my tyre and it cost £23! Fantastic service, I will be back and I will be recommending! Thanks John and team!

Called in on a Sunday for a replacement…

Called in on a Sunday for a replacement tyre, John checked the tyre and was able to repair the tyre for a fraction of the cost of a new tyre.
Checked all my tyres and gave an honest assessment of timeframe for replacement, no hard-sell, and on this basis, will definitely return when the tyres need replacing and will be recommending the Telford branch and its efficient team to family and friends.

Like A true formula one Pitstop

Like A true formula one Pitstop! I rang up just before 17:00pm at the side of the road with the AA after a pothole took out 2 tyres. I asked if there was any help available as I knew they closed at 18:00pm. The chap on the phone asked my tyre size, he had nothing in my size in stock at all. He then advised he could have my favoured tyres there within half an hour. So we took the wheels in arriving just before 17:30pm. The tyres were swapped over as soon as we got there helping to speed up my recovery! Great service I didnt expect from anywhere that time in the evening. I will be using formula one again just hopefully not in the same circumstances! 🤣💪

Rung Ian to get my Nissan note in…

Rung Ian to get my Nissan note in today. Expectingly, was able to fit it in first thing. I will say, the service provided was spot on. Time management was fast and efficient. I’d also like to say, they are honest people. Forgetting my phone and they kindly held on to it until I arrived back to collect it. Fantastic service.

I had my car’s MOT done today at Formula One Autocentre in Telford and had an excellent experience. I was served by Ian, who was professional, polite, and extremely helpful. He kept me informed, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process very straightforward. The work was completed efficiently and to a high standard. It’s great to find a garage you can trust, and I’m happy to highly recommend them to others.

Great service from john the manager

Carnt speak highly enough of john and the team. They got me in on a Saturday with a last minute mot in the afternoon. The car failed with known issue on the suspension, they had this quoted fixed and retested the same day. Nothing was an issue for john who was juggling other customers aswell as getting me back on the road. Used in the past due to John's service and would be happy to return again. Thanks again f1

Warning to local drivers

Warning to local drivers – please avoid Formula One Autocentres in Hadley (opposite Furrows on the roundabout)

I took my car there recently to have my engine warning light checked. They told me it could be one of two faults and that they would fix the cheaper option first. That still cost me £440, which I have since been told is an overcharge for such a job. I was reassured on the phone that they were “99.9999% sure” this was the fault so I had nothing to worry about.

Within the same week, after only driving my car twice, the car felt really strange and the engine light came back on. I took it back and was told it was just an old error code that hadn’t been cleared. Although the car still didn’t feel right, I tried to trust them.

The light then came back on again, so I took it to my original trusted mechanic (which I should have done from the start). It turns out:

- The previous repair had been done incorrectly- The lambda sensor had been cross-threaded
- And the actual fault was the second, “more expensive” (it wasn’t the £600-£1,000 they quoted me at Formula One though) issue they originally mentioned (again trying to scare me I believe by overestimating the quote).

I’ve now had to pay another £533 today to get the problem fixed properly. I rely heavily on my car to get to work in Birmingham, so this situation has been incredibly stressful. Being hit with this just before Christmas when money is tight has made it even worse.

I will also say most of the staff were rude too, although one man I spoke to on my second visit (who said it was just an error code) was genuinely lovely.

Since posting about this, I’ve also been told by others that the owner has previously been aggressive with customers and that similar situations have happened before to others. Now that I think back on it, I think they knew it was the second issue the whole time but wanted to get more money out of me obviously and have tried to cover themselves by making it seem like they were helping me with the “cheaper option”.

I’m sharing this simply as a warning to others – it’s a difficult environment for women especially and I know they have taken advantage of me basically, please be careful and trust your instincts.

Telford’s exceptional service

I have used the Telford centre on three separate occasions and I have never had any cause for complaint. The standard of customer care is exceptional. They will go out of their way to try and meet the customer’s needs.
I cannot speak more highly of them.

John deserves a pay rise

John - the center manager of the Telford branch was extremely helpful. He helped with an unconventional request (digging an engagement ring out of a seat). Not just did he get this sentimental item out from the seat, but he did it in a friendly way. the whole experience was fantastic. Thank you, John.

Rip off prices.. I'll never go back.

Rang fromula one in Telford for a quote to have gearbox oil change put in and was quoted 60.00
Took my car and had to wait over an hour, then the guy tells me he had to use two liters of oil and it would be 88.00
When I got to desk and total came to 111.00.
I called other garages in the area who only charge 60,00 with Vat.
I have been ripped off..
I do not reccommend this service.

Fast and great service

I went in because I had a nail/puncture in my tire. John spoke to me over the phone and managed to sort it out the same day. His service was very quick and he saved me having to buy a new tire. Really appreciated!!
