Easy to book. Mechanic advised of arrival time and came at the agreed time. Got in with the task: Polite. Professional. All finished by 10.30am so minimal disruption to the day. Good communication: by email, text and also phone (as I had to update a postcode detail. ) comparable price to similar companies with additional security of MOT ( if it were to fail on issues that were signed off on part of service)

Nice bloke but dissapointed that the full analysis of the problem with the electrics did not appear in the following email..
Needs to go to an auto electrician to solve the fault and the diagnostic report would be helpful but no download.

You sent a really pleasant and efficient engineer, Shaun, ref 8388, to my house to service my car. He was so friendly, very informative, nothing was too much trouble. He checked I was happy with everything. Excellent service.

Arrived and didn’t do the work

I booked a job from the list on the site , it was confirmed the tech even called and we talked through - he had the parts . Arrived confirmed on his tablet her was starting the work but got a call from his manager saying would take too long so to leave and go to next booking.

Really bad experience to break the contract and to leave me to now get the car repair done , meaning inconvenience and costs.

Well your advertised 'Full Service' is a load of expensive nonsense.It is purely a vehicle inspection and just covering most that a sensible motorists would be checking each month for themselves.
The only service work done was to change the engine oil and filter.
The air filter was not replaced and neither was the gearbox oil level checked, (in spite of requesting this).
Spark plugs/fuel injectors?
A full service would cover checking and oiling all door locks and hinges etc, adjusting handbrake (hardly works unless you pull up with two hands, and then you cannot release the button!).
So this did not help me at all but just confirmed what I already new.
I have been driving for 65 years and have owned over 40 cars in that time so I certainly know what a full service should be and this was just a car check!
I have been a member of the RAC since 1968 no. 102507576 and I am a bit shocked over this. I have always regarded the RAC as being better than the AA but not sure now.
You should have used the term 'vehicle check' which would have been a lot better and I would then not have used this service.
I had a full MOT on my car on 17th June so I would already know if there were any serious problems, but I expected a full service!!

Arrived within time he said he would. Very friendly and helpful and explained all he was doing for us. Couldn't fault him in any way

Missed multiple defects £700 worth!,and after replacing brakes hand brake didn't work had to take to Halfords,due to RAC wanting £75 to return.

Polite & Efficient

Dale did a great job replacing my front brake discs and pads. He was helpful, knowledgeable and polite. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately Sakab in Customer Care is still not addressing my concern that I have lost out financially due to the fact of having to use public transport during the days I did not have my vehicle which was no fault of my own.

I have retained all my transport receipts so I would be grateful if someone could inform me how I get reimbursed for these? Just to clarify I would not have had to use public transport if RAC had not made this mistake.
