disappointing experience

I have tried many times to list my digital platform, however they have banned me because I appear to have a duplicated account. This is possible as I opened an account years ago, however, in the meantime I relocated, have a different email address and had no recollection of the first account. There seems to be no way for me to get past this obstacle or resolve it with customer service. A disappointing experience.

We do ban accounts from time to time, and this will relate to a breach or perceived breach of Flippa’s Terms of Service. We do this vigilantly as a way of maintaining and protecting a global and vibrant marketplace.

We may permanently remove Flippa account access when we determine there are serious ethical violations and/or those of our Terms. These include, but are not limited to:
- links to previously sanctioned accounts
- shill bidding to artificially increase the sale price
- intent to take deals outside Flippa
- self-promotional or abusive messages
- false claims of identity, false claims of performance, or ownership of listed assets or other listing integrity issues
- excessive lost disputes

We don’t share the specific reason but you can be rest assured that we only ban customers where we are substantially concerned about the actions that have taken place.

Disappointing support and experience

The support changes the minute you have signed up. Never heard from the account manager. Had to do with the time difference. It was just too hard to do business with them. All we got were emails asking us to reduce the selling price. We ended the 6 month listing after 2 months. Disappointing and costly experience. Buyer beware. Definitely better off without them when you want to sell your business. For the record, we didn't sell the business. In response to the reply we received from Flippa, please note that upon signing up , replies to the email inquiries were non-existent. We fully understand that the account manager is not the broker but surely replies to inquiries is part of their job. All they messaged us was to reduce our selling price further. It was the standard cut and paste message even. I think that basically will give an insight of what you get with this company.

Used to be a great place to sell/buy…

Used to be a great place to sell/buy websites, software but over the last 3-4 years the quality of the buyers and sellers are horrible.

Definitely do not recommend selling or buying anything on Flippa anymore. They charge crazy amount of premiums for selling & listing for absolutely nothing.

Flippa is a Scam-Friendly Platform: I lost my domain AND my money!

"I am writing this to warn every digital entrepreneur: Flippa is NOT safe. I sold my website (Listing #12209600) for £350. The transaction went through Escrow, the buyer confirmed receipt, and I transferred the domain.

The Nightmare: Immediately after the transfer, Flippa banned my account without warning or explanation. They froze my funds, allowed the buyer to keep my domain, and basically facilitated a 'legal' theft of my assets.

I have reached out to support for over TWO MONTHS with zero response. They are ghosting a seller who was robbed on their watch. If you value your hard work and your money, stay away from Flippa. They offer zero protection for sellers and their support is non-existent. Return my money or my domain immediately."
