House sale was smooth, helped by knowledgeable and kind staff at Lincoln office. They kept us informed on the way at least weekly. Sharon May was especially sensitive to our need for large print documents. Top marks for clarity, regular communication and friendliness.

Cannot thanks Kirsty enough for all her help with the purchase of our new property. Especially given the challenges we faced with our buyers incompetent solicitor. Despite those challenges Kirsty kept me informed throughout the entire process which gave me reassurance that everything on my end was taken care of.

1st class service. We were kept well informed throughout the sale & purchase of our house. Jehnnaie was very knowledgeable and fast with replies to any queries. All the correspondence was carried out electronically, we had no need to visit the solicitors office. Gilson Gray and Rachel were very competent when it came to selling my Mums house, everything was done remotely so I never actually met the team, but it all worked out very well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the process was lengthy (nothing to do with Gilson Gray) and I just felt communication could have sometimes been better over those long periods were nothing is happening. It seems futile with nothing to report but sometimes the touch points are needed to just calm the nerves. Overall though they advised excellently when needed and everything went through without drama, would definitely recommend.

I hope never to come across this company of conveyancers ever again. You will never deal with a dedicated person for your case. It seems to be a warehouse of call centre personnel who couldn’t give a fudge about your situation. Terrible communication is an overall theme. You will tell them explicitly one thing, and they will come up with their own interpretation. Absolutely the most infuriating time of my life. Yes they got there in the end but to have to deal with this company ever again? NO!

As first time buyers, my partner and I went with Gilson Gray based on recommendation and connectedness to our mortgage broker. Overall, we had a good experience, there were no delays on their part, research was thorough, reassurance and communication was provided at appropriate times and their liaison with the mortgage broker was smooth on our behalf. However there were some breakdowns of communication at points, which led to more progress being made by numerous other members of the team and issues with the initial on boarding check surveys not saving information. With zero experience behind us in property purchasing, we would have appreciated at least one opportunity to appear in-person to run through some email content to ensure understanding. But these are small things that overall wouldn't impact on us using the services of Gilson Gray in the future.

Rachel was very helpful for our purchase of our first house together. She was very reassuring throughout the process and explained everything very well to help us understand what was going on. Would highly recommend!
