Brilliant service from Dale. Genuine interest in ensuring I purchased footwear that would meet the requirements of the activity. Dale was patient, courteous and friendly. Great product knowledge and sharing information that was relevant.

Attended Go Outdoors in Kingston on the site of the old Millets. Was looking for some cheap yet comfortable walking boots. Found some, which were £35 but for members only. Was able to sign up for membership £5, on my phone, and buy the boots at the reduced rate. They also offer some different simulated terrains you can try the boots out on. All in all a very good experience, would be 5 stars but they only had one person retrieving boots from the stock room and there were a lot of customers waiting.

Today we visited the Go Outdoors Kingston store with a long list of items for an upcoming trip, feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to begin. Luckily, we were helped by Jessica, who truly saved the day. She guided us around the store, answered all of our questions, explained all the options clearly, and helped us make confident decisions about what we needed. Jessica was extremely knowledgeable and remarkably patient, spending more than two hours helping us find exactly what we needed. She offered thoughtful advice at every step. We genuinely cannot praise her enough. She transformed what would have been a daunting, exhausting and stressful process into something easy, simple, smooth and painless. We were incredibly lucky to have Jessica’s help and would have been lost without her. We cannot recommend Jessica highly enough and extremely grateful.

Excellent service from Jessica in the Kingston store. She was very informative about the brands they stock and merits to each. She was patient and attentive - in short, a joy to deal with.

Alan was great helping me fit a backpacking rucksack, and they have weighted sacks to let you get a real feel for it when loaded. He then saved me money by suggesting an alternative, but comparable, tent to the one I was planning on getting. With the discount card I saved over £100 on the 2 items compared to the lowest prices I'd found elsewhere.

Came in to exchange a jacket I purchased online for my father that ended up being one size too small.

Thank you to Leah for making the experience painless, and even finding the correct size for me to replace it with!

Next time I need anything outdoors-ish will definitely make the effort to go back there.

Great job from Dale this afternoon who helped me buy a par of walking boots. Brought me all that was available in my size and budget and had lots of helpful advice. Thank you.

We went in to buy some boots for our 14 yr old son who will doing his DofE in a couple of months. We had been to other stores but had no luck due to the incompetence of the staff. Dale however, wow what a polite, patient and professional young man! He was run of his feet serving multiple customers all at the same time but it seemed like he was giving us all his attention. His knowledge and customer service was admirable. He even managed to help me with socks that will hopefully come handy with my Reynards. We will definitely always come back to this store simply because of Dale and his attitude. To also mention, the Manager (lady with dreadlocks, I think she was called Leah but not certain), was also really helpful when sorting out a pricing issue and a young lady who was working towards the back of the store on 4/1/26 wearing a black jacket. Overall, very satisfied with the whole team and would give the store a 10/10.

Just bought hiking boots for my daughter. Dale in Kingston was super busy. Helping 4 customers at a time. Found Dale to be super polite, knowledgeable and patient. Excellent service. Thank you.

Dale the assistant was so helpful and informative. Knew his stuff about hiking and was quick in assisting us trying on hiking boots. Brought us alternatives when they didn’t have our size and was able to reserve our favourites at another store. Couldn’t have had a better experience. Will definitely be coming back for all my outdoors needs.

I wanted a swiss army knife which was in a locked display case. The assistant, Dan, looked to find one in stock, but had no luck. He then offerd to let me have the display item. Unfortunately the box for the knife could not be found, so Dale and Dan with the agreement of Leah, the manager, offered me a discount on the knife, which I accepted. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. I would use the store again.

Today I was looking for walking boots. I was served by Robin who was extremely helpful when I was looking for recommendations. Robin’s customer service was impeccable. Well done Kingston for employing such caring staff.
