Tony helped me sort out new walking boots for my son. He was extremely helpful.

Ive tried other stores that provide walking gear but I always return to Go outdoors for the quality and price. But most of all, the service I get from staff. This time I was served by Tony who assisted me with purchasing 2 pairs of hiking shoes and socks. He was knowledgeable about what was in stock, and the shoes that meet my needs. And although it was towards the end of the day he was still enthusiastic about his work, and was courteous and emphatic with a genuine smile. Keep up the good work Tony and your colleagues.

Had a problem with my gears changing on electric bike, called in and asked Philip if he could have a quick look to see what the problem was. He resolved the issue plus lots of other things that needed doing within a couple of hours. He explained to me what the problems were and how to look after the hub and chain. Outstanding service at a very reasonable price, won’t hesitate to return for routine maintenance and other issues with bikes.

I went into Penrith's go outdoors specifically to replace my walking boots. Michelle spotted me while working in the stock room, she came straight out and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. She then offered me some maintenance advice and ensured that I knew how to claim some discounts that I qualified for. She couldn't have been more helpful or professional.

Tony provided great service when I needed a lightweight walking shoe at short notice. He was knowledgable and patient whilst I tried on my options in style and sizing.

Visited the Penrith store looking for a backpacking tent. Was approached and assisted by Bob, who was very knowledgeable and gave me some great advice!

Fantastic service from Philip, didn't leave a review the first time when we purchased the bike, but he was amazing then checking everything over and getting it ready for us while we waited 👍, and again just had amazing service from him again, talks you through everything and explained everything I needed to know, brilliant I wouldn't take my son's or my own bike anywhere else, he totally knows what he's doing and fast at his job 👍👍👍

We took our 10 yo son in to choose a new bike and Philip gave us excellent service throughout, and checked over bike and gave us good advice. He made my son feel really involved in the purchase and listened to what he had to say, we will definitely come back again, great experience thanks!

I had a great experience at the check out thanks to an incredibly professional young man on the tills. I was having an issue with my Go Outdoors card and the customer behind me started tutting and muttering under their breath.

Instead of letting the pressure or the other customer’s attitude phase him, the cashier stayed completely calm, ignored the negativity and quickly helped me resolve the issue. His focus remained entirely on me and I was hugely grateful for his patience and composure. Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Called in for some walking boots.
Received excellent service from Ryan who provided technical advice on the different boots we were looking at.
Also mentioned that we got additional discount for being members of the Caravan & Motorhome Club which gave a greater saving!

The shop assistant called Michelle was serving on her own
There was someone in front of me, she served them while asking if I needed anything
I was wanting to buy a pair of leather ladies hiking boots
While her other customer was trying on ? She went and got me a pair of boots in my size
She was excellent at serving both of us without ignoring either customer.

She was very pleasant and helpful, a credit to GoOutdoors, I said as much to my husband.

PS I bought the hiking boots!

I can in to buy hiking shoes and the member of staff Michelle was amazing, seemingly having infinite knowledge of hiking shoes and got to me very promptly. 10/10

Great prices on a wide selection of products. I would particularly like to mention a member of staff at Penrith in the footwear department, Michelle, who was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She’s clearly an asset, so look after her well :-)

Served by Tony this afternoon in the Penrith store. Looking for a shoe upgrade. He was super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! Recommended to everyone needed some new gear in the area.
