After avoiding this store due to condescending staff attitudes it was a huge pleasure to be served by LEWIS L and Hollie tonight
Lewis was attentive but not in your face, knowledgeable about the different products, and extremely helpful and informative

The staff in store were really helpful. I wanted to buy a tent bundle but there were stock issues so I was advised to buy a tent online and then return it to store, then buy back as a bundle, which i did. However, I'd received bluelight discount on the original tent i bought online and was told I couldn't use this in store on a bundle when i bought it back. Having got home and looked at my receipt it would've been cheaper to not get the bundle at all, even if i paid full price for the other two items. I reported this to customer service who told me that bluelight discount is not available in store and that they want the best deal possible for their customers. I replied with a screenshot of the Go Outdoors website which clearly states you just need to show your card in store to get a discount, so i clearly didn't get the best deal. They then said that as this was an issue with a store there was nothing they could do. I felt a bit fobbed off to be honest. I'm just disappointed that the staff in store hadn't noticed this, and more so that the online customer service rep obviously doesn't know which discounts they actually offer, as I could've saved about £20!

Helen provided a friendly and efficient service. Even though the approach shoes I had intended to buy were not available, Helen was able to recommend a suitable alternative which I am very happy with.

I have been in today and bought a pair of running trainers. And the woman who helped me was called Helen who was absolutely fantastic, very polite it was a pleasure to get served by her. Next time I come on I will be asking for her help, thank you very much

I went looking for a waterproof coat for our holidays and I was able to get what I wanted.

We visited to buy hiking boots to replace our old ones.
We knew what we wanted and the size, or so we thought.
Enter Helen who asked if we needed help, and it turns out we did.
Helen bought us the boots we asked for and we had different socks with us to wear while trying them on.
We asked for Helen's opinion and she gave us some great advice on fit after asking what we'd be using them for (terrain, distance etc.).

We had to try several pairs on, making Helen run back and forth to the stock room. Not once did she lose her smile or enthusiasm and we came away with boots larger than we though we needed.

We've been out a couple of times in them and neither of us have suffered as much as a hot spot.

She certainly knows what she's talking about and not once did we feel hurried or that it was all about the sale. She genuinely cared that we got the right product.

Great customer service

We visited the go outdoors in stockton today to replace a tent pole that was broken. We were assisted by a member of staff called Rob who was extremely helpful! Excellent customer service, thank you!

Click and collect didn’t work. I got no email to say my item had arrived at store

I’m in go outdoors quite regularly in the Stockton store. The staff are always great and very helpful. They go above and beyond to help you out.

I visited Go Outdoors today as I had an emergency with a broken tent pole. I asked the lovely Rob for some assistance. He provided amazing service!! He was approachable, friendly and happy to help straight away. Rob found me some tent poles to fit, he explained exactly how to replace the broken pole. He definitely went above and beyond. Thank you so much Rob you made my day!

I was recently served by Katherine. I was getting kit for a navigation course and needed advice re base layer and water bladder. Katherine has excellent customer service, very polite and approachable. What I really appreciated was being taken to each area not just being directed. She listened and advised using her obvious product knowledge and experience to inform my decisions, she factored in my budget and value for money re offers available for base layer. I was very pleased with both products I bought and used on the course. Katherine more than deserves the positive 5 stars, what a lovely member of the team. Kind regards Carolyn Green

I had a great experience shopping at Go Outdoors in Stockton. The staff I spoke to were very helpful and friendly especially Claire who helped me sort out my membership card. She was very patient and pleasant. I would definitely go back again.

I went to Go Outdoors today for a few things, I was served by Claire and Donna. Their customer service skills were outstanding, so friendly and helpful. It was refreshing to be served by polite and helpful staff. They went above and beyond to help me.

Click and collect was easy convenient and quick so I could just drop in at lunchtime on a Friday for last minute essentials before I go camping. Go outdoors prices are competitive if you have the discount card.
