Renewal policy
This was a simple auto renewal of a home insurance policy I have had for many years.

Tried to up the price
Was given price. Paid. Then they tried to increase cost by £800. So total of £1400. Went on compare site and got whole deal for £520.

After reviewing the policy, we can see that the No Claims Discount (NCD) was initially entered incorrectly. Once the correct NCD entitlement was provided and the policy details were updated, the discount applied to the policy was reduced, which resulted in an increase to the premium.
We appreciate that unexpected changes to the cost of a policy can be frustrating. However, premiums are calculated based on the information provided, and any amendments to key details, such as NCD, can affect the insurer's rating and price.
We are sorry that the outcome was not what you had expected and thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your feedback is appreciated and helps us continue to improve our service.

I would be happier if G&D sent me a…
I would be happier if G&D sent me a letter instead of email to inform me about my account. I have brain fog & had no coped with loads of emails thus by time I looked into it, I had to pay extra £150. Would feel happier if company could send me my policy instead.
