Excellent service from Steer who were the AA recommended repairers.
The Steer team in Northampton could not have been more helpful and accomodating and the paintwork repair is perfect.
Easy from start to finish, everything done by smart phone. Kept well informed by AA and repair garage were brillant, especially Steve the driver.
The garage delivering the courtesy car and collecting damaged car could not confirm any idea of time - just a date, so had to stay home all day waiting . The car supplied was very tiny compared with the SUV being repaired - so barely used. Stayed in all day waiting for the return as well - Surely a time window could be arranged like all parcel firms etc

A great service other than initially I had to chase my claim as I’d heard nothing after a week from the repair garage. This was caused because the claim information hadn’t been released to the garage. Just a glitch in the matrix.
Once I chased it up however it was a smooth and easy process.
I had a courtesy car throughout, was regularly updated with my repairs progress. Communication was great.
I moved my Contents insurance to AA. The quote was the best obtained by Compare the Market and I bought the policy online. The AA response was immediate and the website was very easy to use.
The next day I phoned AA with a few questions which were answered speedily by a friendly and helpful advisor. Excellent service throughout.

Just renewed my car insurance on line with the AA great service and great price, easy to use their website and policy etc came through on e mail within minutes, hopefully won't have to use it again now until next year's renewal.
I had to give one star because there isn't an option for none. Worst customer service in Ireland. I have been weeks trying to get my no claims bonus cert from them and my new insurer is threatening to cancel. A no claims cert is my property and that company has no right to keep it from me. STAY AWAY

I’m disappointed with AA’s policy on No Claims Discount (NCD). In 2023, my NCD stated in the renewal letter from AA was 17 years. I didnt renew and chose to go with AXA for 2 years, and returned to AA in 2025. Now, in my latest renewal letter, my NCD has been reduced to 9 years, despite the fact I’ve been claims free for 19 years (soon to be 20).
I was with AXA for 2 years in between and made no claims during that time. Yet AA refuses to recognise those years and still caps my NCD at 9.
It’s disappointing because car insurance comparison sites accept NCDs of 20 years or more, meaning drivers who have been claims free for longer get better deals. Meanwhile, AA customers like me are unfairly capped.This is completely unacceptable and needs to change.

The price! Included accidental damage cover. We were caught out by our last insurer when I had a haematoma and stained the carpet and underlay. No help with a new carpet
