I just found this website. Ordered a gorgeous cardigan and it came today. Fit is perfect and I have new favorite clothing site.

Third pair of Nappa boots I've bought. First two pairs from earlier seasons are great. But this pair have poor craftsmanship inside the boot leaving scratchy stitching exposed and making them uncomfortable to wear (as I discovered when I simply put one on without even walking in it). They are just shoddy for the money. I returned them to the drop off point. Emails exchanged which made me believe I was receiving a full refund. However, I returned home today to find the boots package back on my doorstep! I am fuming. I have had to phone them up to get a form that I need to print off for the package to be returned. So no refund for at least two weeks or so. The whole thing has been a disaster. Gudrun Sjoden not what they were and I will not be buying from them again.

I received my order but the lambswool sweater is incredibly thin and itchy. The wool coat is nice enough looking but the buttons are difficult to button and it has a horrible smell to it. I think I am going to be returning and hoping that no issues with that given the other reviews on here - yikes. I should have done my due diligence and looked at all this before ordering. I have other wool sweaters and coats that are much better quality than Gudrun and for a lesser price tag.

DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY!
Zero points from me as it is impossible to return/exchange items. I tried twice, each time UPS says 'the commercial invoice is missing' when I attached it incredibly securely and it was on the parcel when dropped off with UPS.
I have just spent a highly frustrating half an hour on the phone with customer services who want me to spend more of my time and money returning this parcel to them, and blamed me for living in a rural location! UPS say they have contacted me on the following details: 0. Yes, that was a zero.
Gudrun Sjoden won't help. They admit a high level of complaints but say they don't have a complaints dept. Absurd. Don't use them.

Very awkward and inefficient returns procedures. Within one month I had two issues, the first with returning two items ( with my return actually returned to me from the carrier) I subsequently had to readdress and send to their London shop. I was still charged £7 . The second issue was a cardigan which I waited nearly a month for only to find it had a very obvious hole and what appeared to be a repair. There seems to be a very real issue with quality. I kept a dress which was missing a button. Do I think this company can justify its price structure? No.

Quality does not justify price. I love the fabrics and ethics but the quality of the clothes is nowhere near good enough to justify the price. Generally I find their clothes a poor fit. I have shopped for some years and still wear items I purchased years ago, this is not the case for items purchased recently. Returns are complicated and expensive. Not worth it.

I've been shopping GS for nearly fifteen years, and over the past five years or so I've noticed a trend: the prices have climbed but the quality has absolutely tanked. It's become too hit-or-miss: at least half the time, the material is flimsy and cheap-looking, and the stitching is terrible. I've had more than one piece literally fall apart after the first wear.
I love the style, but I am reluctantly and sadly giving up on Gudrun Sjoden.

I'm a long term customer supportive of the company's ethos. Overall I find services good, deliveries sometimes slow. Only sometimes. I have become more cautious purchasing anything jersey or wool based because the quality seems to have deteriorated over time. (Last 10 yrs) Insight offered by photography has reduced also. Pity! Range of colours and tones is very good. Linen is particularly good, and also cotton and material designs and stitch craft can be excellent.
I accept that the situation is partly my fault, because I should have returned the garments, The quality is/was awful. the material like a dish rag after one wash the sleeves are longer than the ends of my fingers and the buttons dont line up properly, I didn't return them because I didn't at the time have much faith in the Company as I had heard from another customer that this Company only gives partial refunds. I have had the garments for nearly two years, but it still is upsetting the money was wasted, over £300. so not cheap. my lesson to not think designer items are any better quality than any others. In fact the quality is poor, although the depictions online and in the catalogue look lovely,

After I ordered items online, I didn’t receive any confirmation email or order number, this happened to me twice and whenever I contacted customer service, Victoria sorted out my issues. Also UPS has a very complex return policy. I needed help with a return, and again Victoria handled everything with such grace, professionalism, and kindness. Thank you, Victoria, for your exceptional service—you’re a wonderful representative of the Gudrun Sjödén brand!

I placed an order on what looked like Gudrun Sjoden’s site via a Facebook Promotion. I never got an order confirmation but although my order was clearly for 53GBP I immediately got a an invoice from a company called 2C2P for nearly 82 euros and a payment pending on my credit card of nearly £70…..way too much. That company told me to contact Hippo Holdings.
Gudrun Sjoden needs to take some action as does FB
I’ve contacted my Credit Card company and don’t expect to receive my goods. I’ve also .reported the site on FB as a scam.

Never again. Order offered discount within time frame, which failed to be honoured, and it was apparently too late to cancel. After it arrived, with massively complex return instructions, I attempted return and failed. Rang customer services and was helped by a very pleasant young woman ( bet she's on minimum wage!). Waiting for replacement return slip. I think all this is shoddy, considering amount charged for clothing. Frankly I feel a bit conned by the apparent chubbiness of GS, and it's " colourful clothes" I wanted to just post back to London shop, but not allowed.

I would give NEGATIVE STARS if possible. I am upset that owner is taking advantage of me, the consumer. The catalog and photos are beautiful, but what arrived has NO RESEMBLANCE to those. I received a crumpled dress and sweater, cheaply made in cheap fabrics thrown in a paper bag with a reused cotton ribbon, and for that, the owner had a gall to charge $328.03. My time was wasted as I had to make a trip to the UPS store, and $7.00 will be deducted.SHAME ON YOU GUDRUN SJODEN.
Final update: I have revised my review again as I have now received a full refund for this item and am very relieved that the matter has been settled.
The cardigan that I returned by Royal Mail in April was delivered back to me with a sticker saying 'Unclaimed' and I had to send it again (the second time via UPS).
This was the first time I had been disappointed with an order from Gudrun Sjödén - I have bought some lovely clothes from them in the past - but I felt that the cardigan I ordered this time was hugely overpriced. The fabric was thinner than expected and the quality wasn't great - the seam at the back of the neck wasn't well finished and the button loop looked as if it wouldn't last five minutes. They say the fabric is 100% cotton but it felt more like a synthetic mix: it was stretchy as if it contained some kind of elastane. The label says it was made in China.
I'm not sure if I feel confident enough to order from them again as the returns procedure is over-complicated and they usually charge £7 for a return. As I had already paid £9 to return the item via Royal Mail (I was going on holiday and couldn't arrange a UPS collection), they waived that charge, and I'm grateful for that. But I've noted comments from other people about fabrics being flimsier and the quality less good than in the past.

Hello, I would like to express my disappointment with Gudrun's latest service in Switzerland.
I had a 138 EUR parcel temporarily lost with no proactive communication from Gudrun's team despite me paying a transportation fee of 7 Swiss Francs to receive the product and another 7 CHF to send the product back. After one week, I wrote to the customer service asking if the parcel had arrived and the employee told me that I should wait for three weeks until I got my reimbursement. After four weeks I wrote again to find out nothing had been received. The communication was interrupted once I requested the case to be investigated. I had to go myself to the Swiss Post Office and request the case to be investigated to be sure something would be done in this case. After some time, another Gudrun responded saying the parcel had been found in French, a complete different language as the original one. Quality of fabric was not satisfactory and certainly not as per picture in website.I have found several problems in the service. They are:
1. Different communication channels with the customer. 2. No after sale activity to check on the customer satisfaction. 3. 14CHF charged for transportation when there is no guarantee that the products are getting to the warehouse4. No final apologies.
Not acceptable. I express my disappointment with the customer service in Switzerland and with the overall sales flow. If you wish to have loyal customers to your brand, you should seriously consider the above.
Regards, Caroline

Order not received.
I placed an order on the 25th March, and received an email from UPS the next day claiming it had been delivered, but we have not received anything. UPS cannot be contacted, their online system will not accept a loss report, and their phone contact number does not work.

I didn't know whether to put a 3 or 4 star review. I bought two pairs of leggings. They seem comfortable for larger women like myself. They arrived quickly. When I was trying a pair on to check fit I noticed a snag with a hole. I didn't see any thing on my fingernails that would have made that but, since I don't know for sure, I will keep them. If they don't last long, it's just the way it is. It's just disappointing that things are not well-made anymore but businesses still charge a high price and don't address their quality control. I'll see how it goes as to whether I buy anymore from them.

I have been wearing GS clothing since the 80s. As the granddaughter of high-end tailor and dressmaker I know fabric and craftsmanship. Even from 8 years ago, the quality has gone way down. Fabric is flimsy, seams are crooked and stitching erratic. They source from more places than in the past, and they get what they pay for.
The namesake founder has a scandalous discriminatory background with her employees and their hype was that she left er position about 5 years ago. However, her presence can be noticed more and more again recently.
What is great, and still appears to be solid is their ability to have colors produced very consistently among different fabrics for years and years.
All in all, I have moved away from poor quality and Gudrun's continued influence on this company.

I bought a couple of favourite items over the years and love both style and quality. I regularly get compliments.
Shipping to Germany and the Netherlands is very fast according to my experience and I didn’t have or want to return anything yet.
Maybe the bad reviews are due to orders on the scam sites pretendingo to be Gudrun Sjöden? Or bad luck?
Addition on 19 March 25: I just had to return part of an order. Reimbursement was prompt.

I ordered from the Finnish website. It says they’ll deliver in 3-5 days. Waited a week and they said there had been a problem with my card payment. There was a charge on my card for 84€ for a sweater, but after contacting customer service it was withdrawn. I will not make a new order! Their customer service just reacted ”👍” on this latest email. That was rude.
