The arrival queue for passport control was over 3 hours long. No thought given to families with babies, the elderly, disabled or anyone in need. Incredibly rude staff especially the ‘supervisor’. The... See more

Terrible
Terrible. Efficient enough until we got through to BOILING HOT long queue for Passport Control just before the gate. Unnecessarily long queue caused by Passport Control. Awful experience, would put me off using the airport again!
A queue to queues
On our way over the bags seemed to come out a small truck at a time with large gaps in-between, We landed at a different terminal than we were supposed to, but that didn't seem to cause any issues.
The way home was a different story we queued for a long time for bag drop, then long queues for security with no info up about what you have to take out of bags. As soon as you got through security you had to queue to get a bus to the other terminal. The buses come every 10 minutes. When we got to other terminal we had to get straight to gate as boarding and last calls. We didn't have time to stop and use toilet or grab breakfast on the day which we had planned to do as we had left our accommodation at 5am.
What a shambles Geneva Airport
What a shambles. Security control is like a free for all fights to get through, unbelievable long queues and not organised. Lots of people pushing in. Even worse the staff for check in at the gate, so so inefficient and sharp to customers. Mixing up individuals boarding passes and then blaming you. Setting off late. Spoils hour holiday. I always thought the Swiss were efficient, how wrong I am
A very long wait through passport…
A very long wait through passport control!
I witnessed staff being extremely rude to travellers.
Appalling delays through passport contol.
Appalling delays through passport control.
2 1/2 hours for the queue to get past security check/passport control.
The EU side had no queues and no one passing through, yet there were several agents sat doing nothing. (It took less time to fly from Manchester to Geneva than it did to get through passport control) Baggage reclaim took 45 minutes before the bags started to appear too. Awful. Possibly the worst airport i have ever been to.

Rude made us pay £250 for fags as our card didn't go thought by wifeless... Never would I can to swissaland again bloody scammers joke we left our duty free on the plane and couldn't get them back for start lost £250 there then for them to scam us another £250... Don't go to this airport.. they look for UK people to scam . .....
A sham of an airport
A sham of an airport. 4 years coming here and it has only got worse. Avoid avoid avoid if at all possible. 2 hour long queues, people lying everywhere as no seats and most exorbitant prices. Horrible airport and they couldn't care less.
Utterly dismal passport control
Utterly dismal passport control, every time queues are over 30 minutes at best. Massive lines, caused by completely insufficient agents. All uk passports need to be stamped post Brexit. Eu side has electronic gates and no queues. If there was viable alternatives to Geneva, would be using them. Passport control is a total joke and understaffed.
Dreadful
Dreadful. A 300m queue for customs when landed.only on the other passports of course. No queue on the EU side.
Very Poor
Very Poor! long queus and overcrowded. My son had sunflower lanyard but no one recgonized it and people jumping on the queu all the time. Very disorganized.
It is so sad as Geneva airport used to…
It is so sad as Geneva airport used to be a very nice place but now it is absolutely chaos and so disorganised! We queued outside the airport in the cold to check in, honestly the queue was probably a mile long snaking outside and Inside. Grubby and worst than Bombay airport 20 years ago! Staff shouting and inefficient..4 women doing noting to help the process.
before checking in, we hired a trolley but there are no ramps off the high pavements so people are trying hard to lift their trolley with all their luggage! It’s ridiculous!
And the food hall! Jesus!!!
Go to one queue, to buy a drink, then go to another queue to get your food, It’s packed! Tables too close together. I honestly don’t know how a disabled person can move around any of this..
It’s honestly the worst airport experience I’ve had in years. Switzerland should be ashamed this is their national airport!
Do not use
Not sure where to start, but the 1 star rating is very generous.
Huge queues at chech-in and security, then another hour in a queue at the gate to go through passport control. The queues are longer than the actual flight.
Then there is the bags which go missing and if you do get them back, expensive items have gone missing and Swissport are not interested when you complain. I suggest getting air-tags as that is the only way to get your luggage back and when you track it leaving the airport and going to a property Swissport says the drivers take your bags home when they are tied, and the fact that expensive items have gone missing is none of their concern. DO NOT USE GENEVA AIRPORT, it's probably the worst in the world and I fly every month and have been to most of them.
The worst run airport I have ever been…
The worst run airport I have ever been at - totally useless. Avoid and fly someone else
They are masters of inventing queueing
The sea of people when we got into immigration was as far as they eye could see. The staff can not be bothered to open more gates and take too long to stamp a passport - surely a simple task. We were held up so long we were late for our transfer to the ski resort. The bags were delayed, the carousel switched off. Coming back was no different. Not enough areas to sit either.
Horrible airport such a chaos and mess…
Horrible airport such a chaos and mess it is totally unorganised and we lost our baggages in the transfer never ever again
Terrible queues for UK passengers
Terrible queues for UK passengers. Worst airport I have been to
Poor organisation
Poor organisation. The airport appears completely unmanaged with shocking organisation causing unnecessary long waits. Staff were chatting away while travels waiting over 3 hours
The worst airport I've been to
The worst airport I've been to. A few points;
1. Why is the heating on so high, terrible operational decision as everyone is overheating and you must be wasting large amounts of money through heating costs.
2. Chaos, none of the staff look trained to deal with anything.
3. The most overpriced airport I've seen. Rayban Justins at 220 euro's (80 euros online). There wasn't one item availible that was not cheaper on the high street.
4. Broken charge points, vending machines that don't work, not enough seating the list goes on.
All in all the worst airport I've been to and will do everything in my power never to go back.
Shocker!!!
Terminal 2
Terminal 2, a freezing walk outside for 5 mins plus, check in fine, then you wait outside for gps only knows how long for a bus back to Terminal 1, a journey I could have done quicker without legs.
Aspire lounge, possibly the 2nd worst lounge I have ever been in, ‘do you have butter?’ No we have cheese. Full refund will be expected
A thoroughly miserable experience both…
A thoroughly miserable experience both on arrival and departure. Will try to avoid using this airport at all costs in the future.
