Just want to give a review as they have refunded me fully for my cancelled flights due to COVID-19. By contrast Virgin Atlantic will only offer rescheduled flights which is absolutely pointless as trip was for a specific reason.

In conclusion
Hawaiian Airlines get 5*. Highly recommended.

Virgin Atlantic get -5*. Will never book with them again

look i haven't been on your airline but i did a lot of research on it and it's really good.but i have a suggestion hopefully this doesn't happen i'm saying hopefully but if you stall and start going down you should go down with it so then after about 20 seconds it will start going up. Trust me i know a lot about plane and how they work.

Bait & Switch Fraud - On 9/25 we paid a travel agency partner of Hawaiian Airlines called Mytrip for airline tickets ( Seattle to Maui and Maui to San Francisco) We paid extra for the ability to choose our seating on the flights so that we could a) guarantee that we could sit together and b) guarantee that we would not be bumped off the flight . We received confirmation in writing that seats 15J and 15H were booked for both flights. A couple of days later we received the following from Mytrip for both of these flights " Due to a technical error we are unable to complete your purchase for SEAT for your out bound flight.In order for you to complete your request you need to book your SEAT directly with the airline through their website.The money will be refunded to the original form of payment.. We contacted Hawaiian Airlines asking them to allow us to book the allocated seats and they refused. Their response was " Please be advised that the ticket you have purchased through our respective travel agency partner is highly restrictive. Part of the restrictions are receiving the seat assignment during check in time/24 hours prior to departure and upgrade is not permitted. Regretfully, we're unable to grant your request." This restriction was not made clear at the point of purchase. We have requested a refund of the tickets from Mytrip but they have refused saying that Hawaiian Airlines have our money. Hawaiian Airline have also refused to refund. We would not have booked these tickets if we had been aware of the restrictions and it is clear the company, Mytrip, concealed this by offering the option to allocate seats at the point of booking . This is a clear "bait and switch" scam that Hawaiian Airlines apparently condone and are complicit with.. We now face the likelihood that,if we keep the tickets, we will not be able to sit together on either flight ( 11.5 hours in total )

Hawaiian airlines is a great airline! We have flown with them three times as a family. We had small children with us and everyone was very patient with them! Every single time has been a wonderful experience. The flight was smooth, staff was extremely polite and helpful, and the seats were not too uncomfortable. I hope to fly with them again in the future!

My boyfriend and I went on a vacation to Hawaii, of course with Hawaiian airlines. Came to the airport at 6 am! Guess what? Delayed for 24 hours!! We drive from one airport to another, which was 40 miles away from one another at 12 midnight just to make it to Hawaii as early as possible. Excursions missed, paid one day at a hotel we didn’t stay in, and missed my best friends wedding rehearsal! Thousands of money down the drain!!! As soon as I came back from my trip I filed a complaint with Hawaiian airlines consumer affairs hoping they would at least refund my flight.. instead they send us $250 credit for my boyfriend and I to their airlines. Spend my own money again?!?! Ridiculous!!! Why would I return after that traumatizing night! Don’t bother purchasing insurance they won’t cover for these kind bs!!

I have booked from the home website, the transaction was good, but the company did not check this so the booking was not successful. I waited for one week and they still did not release the money, not to mention any further help.

That's our 1st time flighted hawaiian airline, We booked the extra comfort,Because the entertainment, seats, especial TSA pre check in. We got TSA pre check in flighted from JFK to HNL, even we got pre check in when we flighted between islands. But we didn't got the pre check in back from HNL to JFK. They said Hawaiian airline extra comfort only had random TSA pre check in, It's not always got TSA pre check in. So if you pay more for extra comfort, Don't expect you get extra comfort for it. My husband's extra comfort seat had to need two person to lie down his seat and back when we flew from JFK to HNL. There was little more entertainment program for extra comfort than economy. But they were all old movies and tv shows. I think the food was same the economy. So overall, not worth to paid extra for it.

only waste of money

Hawaiian airways is a pleasant way to travel but free entertainment is minimal. I found the seats recline a bit more than other airways but the ambience and service is very good.

The light meals are tasty and sufficient for the journey and the planes always seem to run on time.

Pity they've stopped service the complimentary glass of punch but otherwise no complaints.

We absolutely love flying Hawaiian Airlines when we vacation in Hawaii. I would recommend the experience to anyone. They definitely know how to make a flight enjoyable with their free hot meals, pillows and blankets. Their seating is perfect for couples flying together that do not want to share a row. Also their convenient middle section is perfect for families who want to not be split up. I love their convenient flight times - we always arrive right around hotel check in time and the Sunday night flights out is perfect for getting to enjoy a last day in the sun!
