1st time user of Helle Hollis, 1st class from start to finish, reasonable cost (but not the cheapest) airport collection quick, short transfer (< 5 mins) very welcoming staff, free upgrade to car with gps, 2000km only on car almost brand new, return was just as efficient, fair fuel policy which is clear, initial charge of 87 euro, which tbh we all know is about 20 euro more than actual cost, but return full and a full refund is given.

Tremendous customer service, no pressure to buy unnecessary insurances, clear instructions for transfers to off-site premises (3 minutes), loyalty discount for repeat hires. What a change from previous experiences with other hire companies at Malaga.

Recently used Helle Hollis for a short term car hire and would highly recommend. I toyed with the idea of saving a few Euros and going with another company but I chose to pay slightly more and I am very glad I did. They are very clear about the fuel policy and also insurance options, taking any worry out of the experience.

There is a bus which collects you from just outside the terminal (turn right after exiting the terminal building) and takes you 3 mins to their office. This may put some people off, but i prefer it as there is no hustle and bustle like in the aiport terminal, and it allows for a easier drive out away from the aiport. Quick check in and return is also a positive, along with a car in a very good condition and we had no issues with at all.

All in all, a very good, stress free experience and I will be using them next time i return to Malaga.

1st car offered to us was in very poor condition, covered in scratches, scuffs and dents. including some not marked on car agreement. Offered 2nd car which still wasn't in great condition although better than the first, had to walk around car with staff marking damage the wasn't highlighted on agreement. My guess is that because i did not take out excess insurance directly with helle hollis they were trying to "scam" me but thankfully i was very cautious. Please be careful with this company if you dont take their excess insurance as they might try to scam you too. Also on return of the car they told me the petrol was not full although i filled the car up 5 minutes prior at the BP garage next to the airport - still not sure what the guy was try to achieve by saying this other than to start a confrontation. All in all my worst experience so far renting a car and i personally will not use them again.

Updated February 2019, and just returned from another Spanish trip, and having continually used HH, they continue to be the highest quality, honest and reliable (although possibly not the cheapest).

I have been using Helle Hollis, for almost 12 years now, and whilst they are not the cheapest car rental company at Malaga, their customer care is absolutely outstanding, and they are a fair and decent company to deal with.

The best car rental in Malaga. I rented a car for 10 days in april and recieved an amazingly friendly and helpful service from the staff both while I received the car and when I delivered it back. They have no hidden charges with clear policies. Thumps up for helle hollis 👍
