What amazing customer service from Karl-Heinz at Himolla.
Managed to supply a part for an 8 year old chair and sent via DHL. Chair is now fixed and my Mother-In-Law is delighted.
First class experience and highly recommended.
Thank you so much.

We returned our Himolla Mosel chair to Hatters in Bedford UK for repair under warranty on 5/7/24. The ref number is ES/CF /V6-3M
or F3225487-AOO or LM25833.00. We have been informed by Hatters that the factory has been shut for a month for August , that the wrong part was sent and that the correct part had been sent by fedex three weeks ago. We have not had any information as to when the chair will be fixed and returned to us. This has now gone on for 11 weeks without any clear communication as to when a simple repair will be done and the chair returned .

We took delivery of our Swan suite (2 chairs and Sofa) on the 2 nd July 24. On unpacking the sofa was damaged, after some haggling (I understand from the retailer) a replacement side has been ordered (not yet arrived!) One chair has a bad creek, This was evident within one day of delivery, and a replacement part has been ordered. I thought I had purchased a quality item from a reputable manufacturer, but to my great disappointment; I was wrong. It appears that Himolla dispatched items without any quality checks and expects the customer to put up with the distress and inconvenience caused whilst they await any hope of having their suite put in a state as it should have been on delivery. On this experience, I cannot recommend Himolla. Nice suite shame about the quality.

Ordered 2 leather 2-seater sofas (one electric), one electric 3 seater sofa and two electric chairs on 29 March 2024. I was advised a delivery time of 6 weeks, 8 weeks maximum. Well here we are some 12 weeks later, only to be told that the products were made and about to be shipped when their Quality Control noticed that the wood on the chairs was 'delaminating' and as a consequence the order was rejected. Although it is still under review, I have been advised by my local retailer that delivery will not take place until August/September timeframe -some 6 months after my original order. I subsequently learnt that there has been a similar problem with 30 other orders! My old furniture which the Himolla range was to replace was gratefully accepted by a family in dire straits; as a consequence, I have to advise them that there may be a considerable delay. My local retailer is pulling-out-the-stops to assist and may loan me furniture so that the old furniture can go to those in need. Although this order is still an ongoing saga (I will keep you apprised), I find it quite incredible that, in this day and age, such poor craftmanship can result from a luxury goods provider.

We paid over £7000 for 2 sofas in 2.5 and another 2 seater we paid for high quality leather despite regular care this leather is nnot high quality. After a few months we heard grinding from the 2.5 safa when reclining then a band we waited 2 weeks for an engineer to come and fix it we were sold these sofas from stokers Southportrexcently we noticed the 2.5 sofa rocking when you moved when sitting on kit then it made the grinding noise the we heard a bang!!! Then the recliner didn’t work! The engineer has been and taken pictures the frame is bent!!! The recliner electrics don’t work the sofas are approximately 3 years we are completely disappointed with the there are only 2 of us so we can’t say they have been overused . Now waiting for Himolla to review photos of the mechanics of the sofa how has the frame bent!! For £7000 we did expect more

Excellent reclining chair perfect for reading, watching TV and snoozing. The recliner action was easy to use and very smooth. The choice of leathers is amazing and the after sales service great. Buy with confidence.

Great customer service. Replaced broken tension spring for my eleven year old recliner free of charge. Part was sent from Germany so it took a couple of days to clear customs (another brexit bonus 🤬)

Earlier this month I posted a bad review about customer service on a sofa we bought which has broken twice. We could get no help from the place we bought it. After writing the review on this site Himolla actually contacted the place we bought it and made them fix it in time for our guests to arrive later in the week. The company drove 120 miles, picked up our sofa, took it back, fixed it and returned it within 3 days! I have to say after everything we went through, Himolla seems to have excellent customer service. It was the actual store we bought it from that was lacking I would now buy Himolla furniture again after what they did for us. I am so happy with my blue leather sofa. It is beautiful and now it works!

We spent £2700 on a nearly new Himolla suite. 2 seater sofa and 2 electric recliner chairs Rhine
The sofa had not been used and the armchairs showed little more in way of use. So we were delighted with our purchase the sofa is so comfortable however the electric recliners are the opposite . Very uncomfortable. We decided that possibly a new seat interior was needed. Our local retailer kindly contacted Himolla and for the price of £200 per chair they were able to provide the special foam interior. The customer service was fast and efficient. My husband from an engineering background took the chair apart and removed the old cushion. He exclaimed it looked perfectly fine no wear or crumbling or damage but as we had the new cushions he felt he may as well replace them. The seats are still very uncomfortable it feels as if you are sitting on a metal frame. And I only weigh 124 lbs so it’s not my weight we are at a loss as to what to do next. Just so disappointed. ☹️

This company do not deserve any stars whatsoever. The recliner which cost nearly £3000 has a loud squeak and despite 3 visits from engineers they can’t resolve it and now say it’s the way the chair is being used!
My husband is 86 and uses it as it is intended for, a recliner! He is incapable of jumping up and down on it!

A tension spring on one of our recliner chairs broke, the hook type ending sheared off. I e-mailed Himolla through their website with details of the problem. They responded very quickly and we received a replacement tension spring and a spare from Germany within 4 days. Having read the previous reviews it seems that they have occasional problems with tension springs but I found their customer service staff to be very helpful, efficient and very quick to respond.

One of the springs of our sofa got broken. Himolla was very helpful and replaced it swiftly. Thank you to their customer service for communicating in English.

Hi, quick question. Are the seat cushions for the Sinatra recliners made in Germany? If not, where are they made? The replacement cushion is numbered 88280 and dated 06 11 23.
Thank you for the swift response.

We purchased a Himolla 3 seater sofa for approximately £5000 less than a year ago. There was issues with the mechanism in the operation of the electric tilt and an engineer came out. Had a look and said we need to change the whole mechanism. The Engineer came back about a month later to change the whole mechanism. Then had to have them back as the mechanism was making more noise than previously and they found some loose fixings I assume was when the mechanism was replaced. They then said the mechanism needs replacing the rivets were loose on the new mechanism apparently. Whilst waiting for the new replacement replacement, I also reported to the store Lucas furniture in Aylesbury that the padding was in sufficient that after an hour of sitting it was so uncomfortable, I had to change from one piece of furniture to another, because the padding had either sunk or moved in the process of the mechanism, I’m guessing being replaced. I have now been playing email ping-pong with the store in regards to this and they only report is that the professional report from the technician states there is nothing wrong with the sofa. I’m guessing the technician didn’t sit on the sofa for an hour but I’m not prepared to be fobbed off with this. I’ve spent a great deal of money and it is the second piece of furniture we have bought from this manufacturer. The strange thing is that the left-hand side of the sofa is fine. There is some moving of the leather of various types which you would expect with some use, but the padding is still in place. However, on the side I use the padding is not sufficient but on the extremities of the sofa it is, so it has either moved or is insufficient from manufacturer. I did not choose the softest seating so I would not accept the fact that the manufacturer may say well, you did this and you did that because, whatever type of padding, you choose, it should last more than 12 months. I have emailed the whole chain to the manufacturer direct in Germany, but as yet I’ve not had a response. All I want is the sofa to be in a condition that I can use it as it is not fit for purpose in it’s current condition I will update once I hear again from the store, but I hold no faith in either them or the manufacturer at this stage, to say I’m disappointed is an understatement.
Thank you for the reply. Another part is going to be fitted next week. We had a call from the customer service manager at Stokers on 12.01.24 with a message that he would arrange for a technician from Himolla to come and see our sofa and would call us back on 15.01.24. No call back and no contact details left so we cannot chase.
The issue with the mechanism can be fixed I would hope but it is the fact that there is little or no padding/cushion between me and the mechanism that is the issue. This is having the effect thst the leather is pooling more than it should as there is nothing supporting this!
If people would take the time to read, understand and be willing to accept I have an issue rather than quoting standard answers we may get somewhere.
It is interesting that Himolla have responded to this review as it’s in the public domain but have yet to reply to my email to their customer services? I think that says they are more interested in perceived reputation than the people who have unfortunately already purchased their products!
I would not expect such poor customer engagement from a supermarket let alone two companies who purportedly say the customer comes first as in this instance I do not.

PAINFULLY UNCOMFORTABLE
We bought 2 Himolla Sinatra chairs - almost £5,000. We were delighted with the chairs when they were delivered but very disappointed when, in the first week, the cushion on one of the chairs in particular started to sink and, after sitting on it for a while, I realised I was resting on the steel frame, also the leather was very puckered. The chair became so uncomfortable that I stopped using it. Eventually the store, ‘purely as an act of goodwill’, agreed to take the chairs away and give us a gift card for the full value. We’ve now chosen new chairs (trusted British make which I am sure will be comfortable) and we have almost £2000 left on the gift card. I would never have thought that such expensive chairs could be so uncomfortable. Do your research well and READ PRODUCT REVIEWS prior to purchase to save months of stress - I certainly wish we had.

At the end of December 2018 we bought two leather Himolla chairs but after about 4 years noticed the seat leather on one in particular was seriously ‘roughing up’. These came from Furniture Village, (FV) Farnborough who have a guarantee period of two years, whereas Himolla have a five year warranty, which they are not prepared to honour.
On contacting them to report it, were asked if the leather had been treated and were pleased the answer was ‘yes’. Pictures were sent and information about the cleaner and preservative cream. They asked FV to visit to inspect the chairs and the agent said he was there to review the mechanical parts which were fine. He agreed there was damage to the leather and was non-committal, but did say the leather treatment was exactly what should have been used. We were informed by Himolla that the supervisor had said the treatment was inappropriate and, as a result, would not honour the guarantee.
Excuses and lies seem to be the way Himolla treat their customers.

Had my Corrib chair from himolla for almost 3 years now and it’s still fantastic. I’ve suffered with backache for years and always found that sofas and chairs we had bought weren’t supportive enough, but my himolla chair is fantastic and has served me well since I bought it from Annetts in Hereford.

Our Sinatra chairs arrived just in time for Christmas! From the moment we set them up, it was clear that these chairs are a cut above the rest. The craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from the sleek design to the luxurious feel of the leather.
The recliners are incredibly comfortable, their adjustable backrest and leg rest provide the perfect support for a relaxing experience.
The leather is both elegant and durable, ensuring that these chairs will be a part of our family gatherings for many years to come.
As for staying awake after our Christmas lunch, well, that's going to be a challenge this year! These chairs are so comfortable that they might just become the best spot for a cozy afternoon nap.
