Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 469 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the service to be disappointing, citing constant buffering, playback errors, frequent app crashes, and excessive ads, even with paid subscriptions. Customers felt the pricing was too high for the poor quality provided, with technical issues and an unhelpful user interface. However, some customers appreciated the good variety of available shows and programs. Hulu owes me a refund of $90.87

Hulu owes me a refund of $90.87. Hulu refuses to resolve this matter. Despite my numerous attempts to resolve the matter ( including contacting their legal department), I have still not received my refund. Hulu admits to fact that the refund is due, but claims there is a system failure. This matter has been unresolved since October 19, 2025. I am now seeking Legal counsel. This company is a rip off!

I wanted to watch the Super Bowl…

I wanted to watch the Super Bowl tonight. I paid my bill and could not log onto the system. After talking with several customer service reps missed the game and missed the game. Worst Service EVER especially during one the biggest television nights ever. I would NOT recommend this company to ANYONE! The worst EVER!

Hulu - not worth the hassle.

Hulu used to be one of my favorite streaming services. Now it’s nearly unwatchable. The buffering is nonstop, and I routinely have to close and reopen the app several times just to finish one episode. ( if you’re thinking it could be my internet, it’s not. We stream everything, and rarely have a problem with any other service)

The final straw is the on-screen advertisement that stays up throughout the whole show, blocking a huge chunk of the screen. It’s intrusive, distracting, and clearly intentional—just a tactic to force users into paying more for “ad-free.”

I’m not rewarding bad service with more money. Canceling, and I won’t be back unless this changes.

Higher prices AND tons of ads???

Hadn't watched Hulu for a LONG time since I forgot my password and didn't care enough to reset or find it. Well I did tonight and I'm so disappointed. No wonder they're Trust score is so low! They raised their prices AND massively increased ad breaks. Wow! Corporate greed much? Definitely not the same good product it was years ago. I'm cancelling this month. Much better ways to consume entertainment that aren't so heavily entrenched in corporate greed. First Star Wars, then Star Trek, and now they've ruined Hulu. What else have you ruined and what will you ruin next, Disney?

Total trash!

Total trash!! While the available programs are good, they are not enough to make up for the outrageous fees, the insidious ads and lousy streaming quality.......

You pay for ads

You pay for ads. I understand that I have their cheapest plan but a minute and a half of commercials every five minutes of the show it’s ridiculous. After I’m done with what I’m watching and going to cancel my subscription. It’s not worth it

Though paying @$90 per month for live TV, Guide does not open by default

01FEB 2026. I am 64, a hardcore spectrum customer, loving DVR and being able to skip through commercials while easily finding my network serialized shows such as NCIS, FBI, etc. I had checked into Hulu a few years ago but it did not carry the Fox News channel which is a deal breaker for me. The only reason I signed up now is intending to save money by since I have cable at my wife's house and my home. The fact that Hulu now carries Fox News TV does make Hulu a more viable option which I am testing for a month to see if I'm ready to ditch cable and save about $600 between the two homes. I do use Paramount Plus separately which is now included with Hulu, I use AMC Plus, I canceled Netflix because it has nothing I want. Since I'm already paying for these extra apps to get unique shows such as the Orville on Hulu, and Star Trek Strange New Worlds ( not discovery and not Academy) those apps are already part of my entertainment budget.

In addition when you do find out how to view information about a show or movie or watching in Hulu, the original air date or copyright date is not present. Of course I look this up and IMDb off and, but this is a common feature on cable. Not sure why Hulu does not try to emulate the cable experience to entice people to move away from cable since we are so used to such interfaces. Just because you come out with a new car Brand does not mean you randomly relocate the gas and brake pedal, and clutch for those of us who still drive sticks on classic cars.

I happen to work in IT for the DOD and I'm a retired thermo-electrical optical technician for the US Army. Taught myself to build databases in 1980s for businesses. Very tech oriented and I fully understand creating a positive user experience within data analytic tools I develop for myself and other users.

Just signed up for and paid for Hulu live with no ads at about$123 per month with Paramount and extra screens.

The Hulu interface is obnoxious and causes too much user friction. Since I'm paying about $100 for live TV, I would expect a guide to be the default opening position when opening the Hulu app on a Roku device, or that I could set up guide to be the default opening stance. Neither of these things are true.

To get to the guide I have to left click into select live TV, then press enter, which gets me to a show, probably the last channel watched, once that show starts, hit the down arrow to get to the guide, then left to select all channels or favors. Like five clocks to get to Guide on a paid, Live TV subscription?

This is very convoluted. The Hulu app developer either has no concept of adding guide to the main left menu when the app opens, or is diabolically and deliberately forcing to me seeing shows I would never watch by having to click into a show before selecting the guide, probably at the hands of contract deals to advertise these shows. I suspect the ladder is true because no app developer could be that stupid to not make the guide the default on a paying live TV subscription or to at least in place guide on the left menu bar when the app first opens.
Again after paying $100 per month, I expect complete control as I have with all other apps and software I own and purchase. I cannot think of another piece of software I own from Adobe Ceative Cloud to Microsoft Access and Power Bi as well as numerous photo and video editing suites, where I cannot set custom settings. I'm not an iCrapple user, I use Windows and Android so I am used to customizing everything.

Hulu can take a lesson from the FRNDLY TV interface where I can place my favorite channels in any order I want, namely in order from top to bottom of the networks I will most likely watch at the top. Their guide is also immediately accessible from the primary menu when the app opens.

I cannot believe Hulu has not received enough feedback to fix this.

With lack of customization, and no intuitive design from the app developers, my one month test of Hulu may end at the month and I will just pay the extra $500 between the two houses to keep our Spectrum and Dish accounts.

This service is ridiculous!!

This service is ridiculous!!! This TV doesn't seem to be part of the Hulu Household for this account everytime I try to log in!!! I should not have to get a code everytime I try to watch Hulu which I have PAID for!!!! Your help department is a joke and rude. They do not speak clearly and the noise in the background is horrible. My husband was told to cancel the service if he was so unhappy with it. The date of complaints have been more than once.

Fraudulent Billing

Twice I've signed up for a hulu bundle with a prepaid card. Both times they've taken payment for a few months only to stop accepting my card. This time was after two months, my account page has a location to accept a gift card so I thought I'll just do that. I purchased a gift card to pay for the rest of my promotion only to find out when I went to enter it, they won't accept that either!! Hulu is a joke and if Disney is their parent company, they are too. Rob Kenney

Lack of cooperation for repair

Hulu is working at our house except for the sports channels. Well, technically, they work on our phones and ESPN worked on Saturday. Now Dad can't get his basketball game. Hulu said that they lost our account and can't fix it.

The "Still There?" Question

I dislike the fact that my shows are interrupted by the Still There? So frequently when watching a series it needs to be an option to stop asking that question and interrupting the program

Hulu does good streaming but it’s not…

Hulu does good streaming but it’s not made for people on the move. This is the only streaming service that after 4 times of streaming from somewhere other than your house you have to call to get full use of your service. It’s so stupid they do this and such a hassle to have to deal with. I wish they would change it but they don’t care about their customers, they just care about that money

they said it is an ongoing issue

they said it is an ongoing issue, ok so why not fix the issue that has been ongoing for several years, i want action for my money not excuses, and the stupid tech support idiots don't even know how to use a phone, or maybe they mean to hang up on me after waiting for at least 25 minuets then I call back, same problem, I want not one but 2 months of credits, for this and the fact that they keep telling me that it is an ongoing issue, maybe it's for reasons like this that Disney+ is going to absorb Hulu.

Please no ads in Spanish

Please no ads in Spanish. If someone wants Spanish they can switch the language or use subtitles. I use Hulu to go to sleep and rapid Spanish for commercial after commercial is annoying. We are in an English speaking country.

I would give them a -100 if I could

I would give them a -100 if I could. We watched AGT once a week, got clear to the semi final and guess what, Hulu locked it and now they want us to pay 90 dollars a month for it when we were paying 12.99. It's BS. We Cancelled.
