I have had them do 8mm home movies before and been pleased so now it was the vhs and my experience was great no complaints

Awful customer service and confusing website. Let me tell you what ONE tape ends up costing you, $14.99 for a box to send them tapes UPS, then $14.99 to digitize the tape then $16.99 to mail your tape back to you UPS. SO the cost of one tape will be almost $50.00 regardless of the length, mine was less than 10 minutes.

It was great seeing the old videos. I paid for upgrading the quality on some of the videos but it didn’t make much difference. But that’s probably just my quality of the videos.

I wish I would have done this sooner as the quality of my tapes had really degraded over the years but iMemories did a fantastic job.

it saves your memorys it brings back a lot .i enjoyed looking back it a little expensive but they work with you well

Sent out my miniVHS tapes and now can watch them on the Imemories App , works so good ...

I memories charges you $14 for a box to send your videos for conversion. I sent them 5 videos to be transferred to DVD discs and paid $14.95 for each tape to be converted as was my understanding. After a couple of weeks my tapes were returned with no DVDs. Plus I had to pay shipping and handling again. When I called customer service they said they would determine how much more I would have to pay beyond the agreed $14.95 tape transfers. I told them that their advertising is misleading the public. I could have gone to CVS and had each tale transferred for $9.95. I asked for my money back and they did refund me less the shipping and handling . This was totally a waste of time.

The process was actually pretty easy and quick. I had tapes sitting around for years and been wanting to watch them. Honestly, I was nervous to send my tapes out. But after its all done I am so happy I did!
I have been enjoying watching old videos with the family and I got the USB so I can enjoy it easily in the future!

iMemories was great from the get-go. The customer service team was responsive (the extreme opposite of Legacy Box that I had tried before). The results were excellent - even labelled into sub-albums (unlike the competition), making everything easier to find.

Speedy process. No problem receiving box for items, mailing it and getting items back. The only complaints I have is for the amount I paid to get my tapes done, I feel like a year of access to the app should be included, I paid $691 and then you want more money for access after a month. 1 month is ridiculous. Felt like it was an a money grab. Also, the download process sucked. It was slow and I had to download fine files several times. I have a brand new iMac on high speed internet. Took HOURS to download and I ended up airdropping at a lower quality. That’s crap. High quality should be offered no matter how you are saving your files.

Robotic customer service, unsure if humans are even working for them. Sent them six VHS tapes, they could only get content off of one. There is nothing wrong with the other five tapes but they claimed they had 'copyrighted' content on them. I have purchased a VHS playback unit and five of the tapes had mostly family vacations on them with a few commercials in between. My mother used to record her daytime TV on VHS back in the 1990's -- I asked if they could please transfer the family material and they said they could not (seems silly) and they also do not refund for tapes that 'could not be digitized.' Felt ripped off. That this was an expensive service that did not solve my problem at all.

I emailed customer service during the processing at least twice, maybe three times to ask to have the commercial material left off the final digitization.

Stop thinking about it and just do it. It was so easy and they took such good care of our tapes. They communicated the process the entire way through and even finished ahead of schedule. It's so easy to watch clips! Highly suggest doing this!

Very easy to do. I was scared to trust this process at first but it worked out great. All the videos were converted to digital and original tapes were sent back. Thank you so much

The iMemories process is easy to follow and the quality of the finished videos was better than I expected. I will be surprising my grown children with these videos during the holidays!!

DO NOT TRUST iMEMORIES WITH YOUR IRREPLACEABLE MEMORIES.

I am absolutely furious with my experience with iMemories. I trusted this company with a sensitive, irreplaceable family VHS tape that still worked perfectly. The original tape had clear video AND sound when played in my own VHS player. I sent it to iMemories because I wanted a safe, high quality digital copy of something that is extremely important to me.

Instead, I paid over $160 and received a digital version that is essentially unusable.

There is NO SOUND on the digitalized video. The video itself is extremely choppy, broken up, and in portions I cannot even properly watch what is happening. This is not a problem with my original tape. I personally tested the original VHS after receiving it back, and it plays with sound and works normally. The problem is clearly with the digitization iMemories provided.

What makes this even more infuriating is that there is a section on my original tape that is only about ONE MINUTE LONG, yet somehow the digitalized version stretches that same section out to more than 22 MINUTES. That is completely unacceptable. I paid this company to accurately digitize my memories, not produce a corrupted, unusable file.

I ALSO PAID EXTRA FOR THEIR AI ENHANCEMENT.

And what did I get for paying extra? As far as I can tell, absolutely nothing. The supposed enhancement did not fix the video, did not fix the missing audio, and did not make the footage meaningfully better. I paid extra for a service that did not deliver what I expected.

The worst part is the customer service.

I contacted iMemories because of these serious problems and expected someone to actually take responsibility and help resolve this. Instead, CUSTOMER SERVICE DID NOT RESPOND. After trusting them with something I cannot replace, paying them a substantial amount of money, and receiving a defective digital copy, I could not even get a meaningful response from the company.

That is completely unacceptable.

Their advertising talks about making your memories safe and accessible, but my experience was the exact opposite. I trusted them with something incredibly important to me, paid them over $160, paid extra for enhancement, and ended up with a digital copy with no audio, severe video problems, and bizarre playback issues.

Thankfully, my original VHS still works. But that does not excuse what happened. The entire reason I paid iMemories was so I could have a reliable digital copy of my memories. Instead, I am now stuck having to worry about whether the company actually digitized my tape correctly at all.

This was not some cheap purchase or something I could simply replace. These are personal memories. Once something happens to an original tape, you cannot just go back and recreate it.

I am extremely disappointed, angry, and honestly regret trusting iMemories with this tape.

If you are considering sending iMemories an irreplaceable VHS, I strongly recommend that you think very carefully and make sure you have your own backup before trusting them with the original. My experience was a complete failure from the digitization quality to the supposed AI enhancement to customer service.

I requested that iMemories make this right and provide a full refund. So far, I have not received the customer service response I expected.

OVER $160 PAID.

NO SOUND.

SEVERELY CHOPPY VIDEO.

A ONE-MINUTE SECTION SOMEHOW TURNED INTO 22+ MINUTES.

PAID EXTRA FOR AI ENHANCEMENT THAT APPEARS TO HAVE DONE NOTHING.

This is not the quality of service I paid for.

I trusted iMemories with something I cannot replace, and they completely failed to deliver a usable digital copy.

DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PRECIOUS MEMORIES WITHOUT HAVING A BACKUP FIRST.

The process is great, box the videos, and send. Get back great memories. Super happy wth the end products.

USB sticks turned out fine. And everyone was always so nice and knowledgeable when I emailed many times with questions, I'm sending in a second batch of videos.
