The account was blocked

The account was blocked, supposedly due to spam and excessive server load. The account cannot be unlocked unless I purchase their paid hosting. It's not worth setting anything up there—they can block your site at any time and demand money to restore it. My advice: avoid them.

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with our hosting.

That said, I'm not sure what happened to your account. Spam and excessive server load are two very different issues, and it seems unlikely to me you were suspended for both.

Spam is illegal, and we can't tolerate illegal activities on our hosting. So if we find that you're using our hosting to commit crimes, we don't want to host your website anymore on any plan.

If your account was suspended because of excessive server load, then please understand that we cannot restore your website, and we don't demand money. If your website uses too much server power for free hosting, you can't host it on free hosting anymore. After that, it's your decision where you want to host your website next. Our partner iFastNet provides paid services you could switch to, which we recommend, especially because then they can easily migrate your website for you. But you're by no means required to give them a cent if you'd rather host your website elsewhere. Backups will be provided free of charge upon request so you can migrate your website elsewhere.

Blocking "just like that"

Suddenly the load became higher, at one time. The account was blocked for exceeding the server resources and cannot be unblocked. If you are making a site that will be popular, I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I checked it on my own experience.

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with our hosting.

Our hosting, like all hosting, has limits on how much traffic it can handle. Generally speaking, the more you pay for hosting, the higher limits you get. So you can see how with free hosting, the limits are not very high.

Please keep in mind that while our hosting is free to you, servers are not free, so we need to keep costs down in order to be able to provide free hosting at all.

Our hosting is most suited for personal projects, learning, or websites that have just started without budget. It's sufficient for a basic website with a small amount of traffic, but not suitable for large websites with a lot of traffic.

So regardless of what hosting you use, please always keep an eye on your server usage, so you can plan and acquire the necessary capacity so your website will keep working even when the traffic picks up. This is true for all hosting, not just free hosting.

Can't even create an account

I am not even able to create an account. In my country (Czechia), email address ending in "@email.cz" is pretty common, yet it is detected as "disposable email" and therefore I am not able to register using this email. This is the first time I have come across anything like this.

I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble signing up.

The provider email.cz is indeed blocked from registrations on our hosting. This is because we saw a very high rate of abuse from people using such email addresses. To combat this abuse, we were forced to block registrations with this email address.

Regardless, we're happy to host your website! All we ask is that you sign up with an email address at a different email provider.

I worked as web developer from 2000

I worked as web developer from 2000, with php, mysql, html, css, javascript, so i found this service very high quality with plenty tools very easy to use.

I created 2 very simple websites, with extremely low impact of pages and code.

No harmful content whatsoever.

THEY DELETED ALL MY ACCOUNT AND CONTENT WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION.

So they are offering free service just as BAIT to get clients, and to steal your content.

Once they cannot get anything more from you, they simply DELETE your website without ANY warning.

SCUM service!

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with our hosting.

That said, I'm curious to learn what happened to your website. Because we never just delete accounts without warning.

A few different possible reasons come to mind.

Your account may have been deleted due to inactivity. This happens sometimes, because accounts are deleted for inactivity without explicit consent. However, we send at least two notifications before your account is deleted (once when the account is deactivated, and a reminder after two weeks). Only if those messages don't reach you for some reason or you don't take action in time will your account be deleted. But you have 2-3 weeks to take action, and reactivating the account can be done with a single button press.

It's also possible your account is suspended for another reason. If so, your account is only suspended, not deleted. Depending on the exact reason, either the account will be reactivated automatically, or you can request a reactivation. If reactivation is not possible, then almost always you can request a backup instead. Only in cases of severe abuse (like extremely dangerous content) will we not provide access to content.

Finally, we are currently experiencing an outage with one of the domains used for free subdomains. If your website is down because of that, we terribly regret this. There was indeed no warning about this, because outages cannot be announced. But if this is the reason, neither your account nor your website were deleted, and you can backup your website yourself right now or just wait for the domain name to come back up for your website to be restored.

If you'd like to discuss this in more detail, please don't hesitate to ask on our forum. From there, we can easily see what exactly happened to your account and help you, especially if there is any possibility to restore or recover your account or its contents.

Excellent Free Hosting

Excellent Free Hosting

I'm sorry to hear you had so much trouble using our hosting.

I checked your account and see you indeed hit the daily CPU limit once. We limit how much you can use the server's processor, or CPU, to help ensure the server capacity is distributed equally among the different websites.

Please note that we didn't "invent" CPU overloading. All processors ever made have limited capacity, and most hosting providers restrict CPU usage to prevent a few big website from overloading the entire server and slowing all websites down. Hostinger does this too, but the limits are probably higher because their hosting is not free.

If you hit the CPU limit, your website will be paused temporarily and redirected to a parking page. That parking page is completely safe and doesn't contain any malware, it's essentially just a page with an image. If your virus scanner says something else, that's a false positive from your virus scanner.

If you're happy with Hostinger, then I wish you all the best. However, please understand that most paid hosting is better than most free hosting, and the more you pay the more capacity you get. So if you would like to do an actual apples-to-apples comparison, please consider giving iFastNet's premium plans a try to compare them to Hostinger's paid plans.

Bad don't trust them

Bad don't trust them, the site is still not live and has no content except one image of flowers and they suspended and send a mail containing maybe one of those reasons, "abuse, harmful or illegal content, or because your account overloaded our servers." the site still not live has no content only plugins and one theme with one pic I upload. so don't risk, thank god I didn't invest more in it with content and work and then they closed.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with our hosting so far.

Judging by your description, it sounds like your account was suspended because the website you uploaded was flagged by our automated abuse scanning. Unfortunately, free hosting is abused a lot, so we have no choice but to try and detect bad sites using automated checks. And unfortunately, as with any check, there is the possibility of false positives and accidentally suspending safe sites.

For this reason, if your account is suspended, you get the option to request an appeal from the client area. Once you submit your request there, staff can quickly review your account and reactive it if it's safe. Many requests are processed within 30 minutes, especially when submitted during UK business hours.

I'm sorry to hear that you had so much trouble obtaining an SSL certificate for your domain name.

The process to get an SSL certificate should be pretty straight forward, and as fast as it can be (considering that it can take some time for DNS records to be setup). Sometimes a request can fail, but you can easily retry it. And there are very few cases where you'd need to delete a certificate order in progress, only if you need a different domain name or SSL provider could you considering deleting the previous request.

I don't know if you were able to obtain a certificate in the mean time. if you're still having trouble, please don't hesitate the share the issue on our community forum so we can help you solve it.

Watch Your Step

The service overall was adequate until it wasn't. New subscribers are not informed upfront that even a single random DDoS attack will result in a permanent ban. So, make sure to keep a manual backup of your work daily or you might be left out in the cold with no support, as it is locked behind a paywall.

I'm sorry to hear that you were unable to setup your website with us. I'm not sure what prevented you from doing so. If you're still interested in trying our service, please write about your issue on our community forum so we can try to help you.

I'm not sure where you got the "unlimited traffic and unlimited downloads" from. It's not true and we don't advertise that.

While we don't have a hard limit on bandwidth use, there are other limits that manage what you can use our hosting for and how much you can use it. All hosting from all providers has limits (the infinite power computer does not exist, after all), so our hosting does too.

This is simply the best free hosting…

This is simply the best free hosting service I've had the pleasure of using. Occasionally, clients seriously have no budget to get started with. But, when you can show them that they can actually launch their online presence without any immediate recurring financial commitments, that's when its a winner, and infinityfree does what it says on the tin. Fantastic, and such a great bunch of guys in the infinityfree community. They're all committed to ensure that you have the best possible experience ever. Couldn't fault them. Brilliant! Thank you infinityfree!

Great, but think about it

The hosting is great. FTP support, 24/7 website, check it out for yourself - but it has really, really weird rules, because a DDOS attack might get your website terminated... If you want to make a private, cool website for friends, go ahead. If you want to make a public website, switch to a paid hosting - you get it. It's cool, but it's not for huge google-like stuff.
