Scamming IRS EIN Company
Primary pages look like a legit IRS website to file EIN through. You have to dig deeper and really review the fine print to realize they are a third party (which you don’t need to file) and that obtaining your EIN is FREE through the IRS website. They charge $245 for something you can easily and quickly do yourself. So horrible what they are doing to people.
Scam
Scam, I am embarrassed I forgot the IRS does this for free. I provided my information which has me worried about fraud.
this is a scam
this is a scam! you can receive your EIN # for free direct through the IRS website. I am in the process of trying to get a refund now. BEWARE
Totally scammed
Wow, I don't know how it happened but I went to the IRS website to apply for an EIN and somehow in that process I was redirected to this website unbeknownst to me. So, when it prompted me for $129 payment for the EIN I assumed I could go no further without payment since I was on the IRS website. Typically, I'm very aware of my internet traffic exactly for these reasons to avoid being scammed. Yet, I was bamboozled anyway. I'm beyond irate that somehow my traffic was redirected to this preying website.
Run! Go to IRS.org for free EIN
Run! This place E-filings.us is a scam. I don't think it is even a company. They prey on people that just don't know, I was one of them. If I could sue them I would. The charged me $247 and of course I hope you know by now you can get this service on irs.org for FREE.
E-tax filing....This company is…
E-tax filing....This company is outright criminal. First of all you don’t need a third party. It’s free at IRS.gov. These people snag your search and take you to their site, they do not respond to customer service requests, they insist they sent an email which was never received by me. Not in junk or clutter or anywhere. It took two weeks to finally get a response and they refused a refund. Stay away. Bad actors. Scammers.
I feel so stupid
I feel so stupid, This is a scam, all of this can be done for free and I was charged almost $300 for it
I nearly fell for this
I nearly fell for this. I filled out the application and when the next page asked for my payment information, I suddenly remembered the IRS website saying to beware of companies that charge you to file for an EIN. The application on the IRS website asks for EXACTLY THE SAME information as this company's application, it costs you $0, and you receive your EIN immediately upon submitting the application if you choose the online delivery option. It's up to you if you want to give away $245, but it's entirely unnecessary.
They don't deserve any stars
They don't deserve any stars. They are scammers, and should have criminal charges filed against them. They are impersonating a federal website and stealing people's information and money. They don't perform any service and you need to avoid this site at all costs and report them to your bank, and or credit card company. It's disgusting they can do this and not face the consequences. I reported them to Wells Fargo and I'm certain they have a wave of disputes against them in reports. I'd suggest even a group legal action against this site's operators. There's something called Karma and it'll come a round because they know they're misleading and wringing people. People who want to start their business have to incur such scum. Go to the actual IRS site and correctly file for your EIN for free.
This is not the IRS
This is not the IRS. It's a scam. The organization sends you coupon to offer you a discount on a service that's free on the IRS by pretending to be the IRS. They make their website and name and everything to look like the IRS. I have asked them for a refund by they would not give it back stating that I agree to their disclaimer and etc... Very disappointing.
This could be a scam site that collects…
This could be a scam site that collects personal information and forwards it to the IRS site which actually provides the service for free. Of course, they will give refunds if you email them because they already have your personal info anyway...
They are not the devil as some reviewers suggest
I was shocked to read the host of negative reviews which I looked at only AFTER I had erroneously allowed them to charge $277 x 2 to my cc for two EIN numbers for Trusts. I went back to see that I could have gotten them free from the IRS, but was confused because their website looked official and the charge page did not come up until the end when I had already supplied a lot of info, including my SS number. I felt stupid and wondered if I was too old (81) to be allowed on the internet.
HOWEVER, I sent an email the next morning (after a restless and worried night), explaining that I had made a mistake in seeking these EINs, without saying anything about them being free from the IRS, and said that their service may be useful for some, but not me. My first email response said they would refund one but that the other had already gone through. On a second email appeal, they responded to say they would refund both. Of course, by then I had also called Capital One who said 'don't worry.'
Today, about 5 d after the email exchange, I see that both charges of $277 were refunded. I don't think would be the case if this was purely a scam site, and am giving them a 4* rating for the return but downgrade because I feel their site misrepresents themselves as IRS. Don't believe an 'IRS' site that has a .com and not a .gov in their address.
SCAMMERS!!!How this is even legal is…
SCAMMERS!!!How this is even legal is beyond me.This company should not exist. Masquerades as the IRS website and rips you off $250.Stay away from these people.
EIN Filing Service a total scam
I thought I was on the IRS site to obtain an EIN for my deceased Brother-in Law Trust. I got charged $247.00 for an EIN when it is free on the real IRS Website. This is a TOTAL SCAM. Do not use this company.
Not a scam, but.......
Oh, dear. When someone uses this website instead of the official IRS website, because the IRS only keeps certain hours, you have to shudder. For an EIN, you complete a form, where they ask the same questions as the IRS. You complete it and pay $245. If you complete the same IRS form with the same information, you pay $0. So, for the sake of these guys working beyond the hours of IRS operation, they are literally coining it in from folks who can't spare 5-10 minutes during the day.
Are they a scam? No, you appear to get what you pay for. But can you get the same thing, using the same information for free? Yes. They tell you this on Trust Pilot - but not on their website.

Great customer service
Wrote within minutes of order and prior to order being complete and refund was given. Great customer service, thank you!
I fell for this as well
I fell for this as well - provided all my sensitive information to only realize this was not the IRS and I never entered my CC information. I sent a message asking them to remove my information.
This company should be illegal
