Took my Samsung S24 Ultra to the Ismash branch on Bull St in Birmingham. The rep gave an exceptional service. I was struggling to back up my phone and expressed to him that my mums 80th birthday, my a... See more

Difficult to contact but persevere!
A bit tricky to contact at first (4 rather than 5 stars) Email is better than phone. They emailed me a link to a repair form. The battery in my old Samsung had swollen but other than that the phone was still usable, just that Samsung themselves didn't offer repairs any more. Choice between taking it in to my local shop or mailing it. I chose the latter which was more expensive but I would have spent as much getting to the shop. They sent the box, I mailed it back and it was back within a week. Overall really straightforward once I'd managed to contact them and a very good price.
Great service
Great service. Great help from Adrian and ready on time. Will definitely use again. Many thanks.
Don't bother - waste of time and money
Visited Kingston branch as website indicated they had a replacement screen in stock (this was done on the advice of the branch), told that they didn't have a screen in and they would order and book an appointment, received an email to say screen had arrived, visited the branch to be told they don't have the screen, given a new date with a new screen ordered - screen hasn't arrived only found out when I phoned up to check, to save another wasted journey, finally managed to get someone to check local stock (Croydon) and they promised to phone back, nothing yet. They hardly ever answer the phone - don't cancel appointments when they don't have stock - clearly poorly run store with no customer regard at all

Damaged my phone during battery replacement - 3 visits, still broken
I visited the Charing Cross branch on 25/09/2025 for a simple battery replacement. The technician damaged my Face ID sensor during the repair and admitted it was their fault.
Since then, I've made THREE separate visits trying to get it fixed:
Visit 1: Sensor ordered (not in stock)
Visit 2 (04/11): New sensor installed but didn't work Visit 3 (11/11): No sensor available, told it might never work
I've been without Face ID for over 6 weeks, causing serious issues with banking apps and authentication. The solutions offered are inadequate: send phone away for 48 hours (not viable), try another sensor (already failed once), or accept £50 discount (insulting when they broke my phone).
I came in with a fully working phone and left with a broken one. The technician even suggested I "might have to accept the phone is broken" with no guarantee another attempt would work.
Still waiting for a proper resolution. Avoid.
Crackingly good professional repairs!
I hadn’t really appreciated this business until I badly cracked the back of an otherwise perfectly good iPhone14. Much cheaper than replacing it or getting an OEM repair. Highly professional and very quick. Really impressed tbh and would definitely use them again. They also sell serviced / repaired phones, which I hadn’t appreciated.

I will return when my telephone needs further care. Thank you.

Appalling Service, Damaged My Phone & Still Delayed the Refund
I had an extremely stressful and unacceptable experience with iSmash at the Croydon branch with an employee there called Ibrahim. I booked in for what should have been a simple screen repair on my iPhone. Instead, the phone was returned to me in worse condition than before.
From the moment I got it back, my Face ID stopped working, the screen became unresponsive, and the fitting itself was clearly slanted and poorly aligned. Within days, the phone became completely unusable — I couldn’t work, missed a medical appointment for my child, and had no functioning phone for an entire day.
I ended up having to go to Apple, who confirmed the screen needed replacing again. My partner paid £300 for a genuine Apple repair because the iSmash one had been fitted so badly that it was unusable.
To make matters worse, when my partner called the Croydon branch to speak with the technician, the staff laughed on the phone. The level of unprofessionalism was shocking.
When the store manager finally called, he offered a “free replacement screen,” despite the fact that I had already explained in my complaint email that the Apple repair had been done that same day. It was clear he hadn’t bothered to read the details of my situation.
After escalating this with head office, they eventually agreed to issue a refund — but even then, the process was mishandled. A single digit was entered incorrectly, delaying the refund yet again. I had to chase multiple times for something that should have been resolved immediately, especially considering the stress and inconvenience they had already caused.
I rarely leave reviews, but this entire experience has been awful from start to finish. The repair quality, customer service, communication, and professionalism were all far below acceptable standards. I will never use iSmash again and strongly advise others to be cautious, especially with something as important as a phone repair.
A ruined (but now salvaged) phone
I've had a disappointing experience with iSmash Charing Cross which started with a successful battery replacement but which also unfortunately caused the breakage of the volume control buttons.
I raised this with the store and was promised the inexpensive part would be sourced and I'd be notified when this would be available for fitting. So far there have been several email exchanges suggesting the part may be available but no firm commitment. The result is I now have a phone that's difficult to use and worthless for trade in purposes.
iSmash do helpfully warn customers that whilst changing a battery the opening of the case may cause the screen to break and if so will be replaced free of charge. What they don't tell you is they could render your phone worthless by damaging other parts.
Thankfully another store at Bluewater stepped in to salvage the phone and have done a great job.
Never heard of iSmash before
Had never heard of iSmash before. Was recommended to try them for 'value for money' iPhone 8 battery replacement.
Everythingwent perfectly well. Have no hesitation whatsoever in recomending the Stratford Westfield service booth.
They would be my number one port of call for any similar future requirement.
Great service
walked in, told them my booking reference and that's it, phone screen repaired within the hour
Fantastic professional service
My wife's smashed phone was repaired under our insurance company Assurant (after paying the excess charge)and she took it to the Chiswick branch where Mauro was extremely helpful and informative. They replaced phone's screen, back and battery so she now has a pretty much brand new working machine. All this was done within a few hours, fantastic service.

My Google 9 pro screen decided to go Blank
My Google 9 pro screen decided to go white then blank. Took it to the Manchester Arndale branch today after being told yesterday to bring it in at 3pm so I did. An hour and a half later new screen under Warranty. Happy Customer
Waste of money and time
Waste of money. I had the battery replaced in my iphone 8 (to have a back up phone, just in case). New battery did not last 11 hours (and the phone was simply on, I didn't do anything with it). I took it back to another branch (as it was more convenient) and the assistant (who was kind and helpful by the way) said that they shouldn't even have replaced the battery in the first place becasue it's such an old phone, a new battery wouldn't last anyway. But to be on the safe side, he changed it again. The second battery doesn't last half a day either (by doing nothing with the phone). So my problem is that if it's impossible to give the phone a decent battery, why do they even offer this service on the website? Such a waste of money and time.
I went to the store twice
I went to the store twice, after being told the screen for my phone is in stock! That’s a 40 mile round trip twice so 80 miles in total and when I got there both times said it wasn’t in stock! Absolute joke, it wasn’t even a screen replacement I needed it was for a battery! But they said they need a screen incase they broke it in the process

I had a broken screen on my Google pixel 9 pro having only having it 5months.
I took it to vodafone first with them being my network provider. They told me that it could take 2 weeks to fix with them needing to send my phone off. Vodafone suggested taking it to ismash to see if they could help.
I entered the store in meadowhall (Sheffield) and I was walking away in a matter of minutes knowing that its all under warranty and should be sorted in a matter of days. My phone has no been fixed thanks to ismash. Can't recommend enough
