I used Ison Harrison to look over a settlement agreement. They were able to do this on the same day that I emailed it to them. I am very pleased with the efficiency and professionalism and would most certainly use them again.

3rd time we've seen this solicitor about wills and probate at the Crossgates office. Every time he has been rude and dismissive. Would never use again he upset my elderly father by using legal terms he didn't understand which ended up with him being confused

A fantastic conveyancing service - we were very well looked after by Emily Jemison and Zoe Harris at the York Office. Nothing was too much bother, communication was very good and their work ensured a very quick sale - exchanged and completed within six weeks. Worked very well with our Estate Agents - Nathan Manning at Churchills (York).

I had a few changes of staff in selling my home but this was communicated well.
Despite some issues with the land registry regarding the sale of part of my garden shortly before I put the house in the market, everything has gone seem Lesley since and staff (Natalie and Olivia) were very understanding of a difficult situation and more than helpful with my lack of IT skills! Don't use this company and if you see their name in your chain, walk away.
They have held up exchange on our chain for two months for nothing.
Emailed enquiry responses to the wrong set of solicitors multiple times(not ones involved in the purchase at all)
When we eventually managed to forward responses to the correct solicitors they left multiple points unanswered and are now refusing to respond to the outstanding points, despite being asked by all parties involved over multiple weeks, instead sending contracts out for signing ignoring the requests (one of these requests is the TR10 form).
Incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, avoid at all costs.
I think these positive reviews must be bots, as this firm is unable to click reply all to an email.

Update to this review two weeks later: our chain has now collapsed due to Ison Harrison refusing to respond to enquiries sent in June when they have 'already sent everything' (they have not one of the items missing is the draft contract). Do not use, they don't care if there are time constraints elsewhere in the chain or for your circumstances. They also lost some of the paperwork their client provided them with (certificates etc) then lied about what was causing delays to responses.
If I could give them no stars I would.

When looking for quotes, Ison Harrison were the cheapest, and I can see why! My advice would be to spend a bit more money and save yourself the pain. In hindsight I definitely would have gone elsewhere!

I am in the process of buying a property and instructed Ison Harrison to help me with this. Laura Walsh and Charlotte Rackstraw, are the solicitors ‘helping me’.

For context - I am a first time buyer, and the property I am buying has no chain, yet here we are 4 months after my offer was accepted and seemingly no closer to completing on the sale! (Most other solicitors estimate 6-8 weeks to complete on a no chain property!)

I feel I am constantly chasing them for updates, and every time, their responses are short, blunt (bordering on rude!) and unhelpful. Several times I have had to chase their enquiries myself via the estate agent because they are doing the bear minimum to move the process along in a timely manner. There has been a few times when I have chased them for updates, following weeks of no contact from them, for them to then tell me they’ve had documents for days/weeks and not updated me!

I only get updates after I have gone out of my way to ask for them. They seem to have no urgency whatsoever, and I fear that if I did not hassle them for updates, I would never hear from them and nothing would happen! Yet, when I do ‘hassle’ them, their responses are dismissive and make you feel like a burden for contacting them!

Excellent from start to finish, very fast and helpful, Jonathan was brilliant and very fair about what he charged.
Tracey was also very efficient and professional.
