Don't bother wasting your time with their hiring process. They put you through a highly automated funnel that has zero human touch and completely contradicts itself at every step.
I applied for a Freelance Deep Learning Lecturer position. First, they hyped me up, told me my profile was impressive, and rushed me to fill out their long HR questionnaires and submit documents. Then they told me my files were sent to their Legal Department for review. Shortly after, without any explanation from the actual people I was talking to, their system just blasted me with a generic "the positions are filled" automated rejection template.
The whole process is completely disorganized. They act like they have an urgent need for lecturers, keep you interested for a long time, waste your time collecting your paperwork, and then let an automated system dump you. It feels like a mass-market sales funnel, not an academic institution. Completely unprofessional candidate experience. And I believe few positive reviews here are either written by themselves through fake accounts or forced some students to write it so that it looks good

My experience with this school has been extremely disappointing.
First, when I extended my contract, my tuition fees were raised by an unreasonable 80%, which felt unfair.
On top of that, student support is very limited - communication is slow, issues are not always resolved, and there’s no clear guidance on which team to contact for specific enquiries. If you contact the wrong team, you’re often sent to another one yourself, leading to a lot of wasted time and energy in back-and-forth correspondence.
For example, when I tried to change my study program, it took six months to get resolved; my initial requests were denied without explanation (at least 5 times I'm not kidding) and I was constantly redirected to other departments - until I decided to quit, and only then did they start addressing the matter seriously and I got my request approved right away.
Third, there is no clarity around timelines: the release of grades is consistently late, which creates additional stress and uncertainty.
I also wanted to point out that the user experience on their learning platform is unsatisfactory. Technical issues occur from time to time and I was not able to get timely assistance (because you can only contact them by email)
I do not recommend this school to prospective students.

I’ve had an amazing experience at IU International University of Applied Sciences. As a student balancing a job with variable timings, the flexibility here is a lifesaver. Being able to study and take exams whenever I want—literally on my own schedule—is what helped me manage my life and career without extra stress.
Even when I faced some financial hurdles, the university was incredibly supportive and offered me easy, flexible payment options tailored to my needs. It’s rare to find an institution that actually cares about your situation. I’m really happy with my journey so far and have already recommended IU to my friends and family!

First is the flexibility of exams. Secondly, MS Artificial Intelligence is equipped with almost all the modern techniques used in the sphere of AI and ML and thirdly its model support working professionals.

I'm a visually impaired student and had trouble finding offline colleges. Among the online options, IU was one of the better priced ones.
They have a pretty well-designed LMS. I can manage all my courses, exams, results, documents, etc from there. My course also includes a Microsoft 365 subscription.
Initially, I did have trouble with their online exam system (Examity, at the time), so my progress was slow. However, they have improved significantly last year and you can consult their accessibility team to talk about accommodation suggestions. Applications to the exams office to request accommodations can also be made online.
Personally, I find the new exam system to be quite good. It adapts to my Chrome extensions to force dark themes on websites. The process is quite smooth, you can easily share your screen, connect your phone, and the proctor's are usually polite as well.
Most of the professor's I've interacted with have been helpful and supportive, with some of them making the extra effort to help you succeed at their course.
Overall, it has been a good experience except for the first 2 year when the exam system wasn't accessible for me, but newer students should have a better time.

With IU, I am having a great time while studying the bachelor program. The reason behind my satisfaction are great cooperative teachers, overall cooperative service team and flawless studies with well trained tutors. Studying with IU is totally worth able. 🙂

This is terrible. This is an educational service scam. I only registered my interest in the course on March 16, 2026, without verifying my identity or signing any contract with IU. Then, on March 19, 2026, I messaged the school via WhatsApp to cancel (this is their official channel, according to their email). I did not attend any trial classes, use any resources, or access any accounts provided by IU, yet on May 7, 2026, they emailed me a tuition invoice. Even though I hadn't completed my registration and was not a student of the school at all.

The workshop by Nitesh was practical, reassuring, and very useful. It helped me better understand important everyday topics and made me feel more confident as an international student in Germany. A really supportive initiative that can make student life much easier.

this is incredibly frustrating situation. It feels less like an academic partnership and more like a rigid corporate trap. Losing three years of progress over a single payment delay is a massive scam,
I rarely write reviews, but I’m sharing this from the heart to warn others. I was a full-time student here for three years and completed a year and a half worth of ECTS credits. While I had some personal delays, I was consistent with my monthly payments. However, because I was late on my very last payment, the university exmatriculated me and terminated my contract entirely.
Despite reaching out multiple times to settle the balance and stay on my path, they refused to cooperate. Now, they expect me to pay the debt, re-register, and start from scratch. They even told me I’d have to pay 80% of the fees again for the credits I already earned. It feels less like an educational institution and more like a scheme for extortion. A German degree sounds great, but with IU, the risk isn't worth it. Rethink your registration.

My coaching session with Leonie was very helpful and reassuring. She took the time to listen carefully to my situation, including the challenges I have been facing with balancing my studies and maintaining a steady pace.
What stood out to me was her patience and understanding. She did not rush the conversation, and she created a space where I could speak openly. Her guidance was practical and clear, especially in helping me think about how to structure my study plan more effectively going forward.
I also appreciated that she made herself available for follow-up support, which shows genuine commitment to helping students succeed beyond just one session.
Overall, the session gave me clarity and confidence about my next steps. I would definitely recommend this coaching to other students.

I would give -€8,112 stars if I could. That is exactly the amount of money IU took from me without providing the basic accountability they expect from students.
I invested 3 years of my life and over €8,000 in this university. There was a time I lost my job and literally started to eat once per day and skipped meals to ensure I never missed a payment, because IU refused to grant me a break when I communicated the loss. Despite this extreme sacrifice, I was wrongfully exmatriculated due to an internal administrative error.
The facts:
The "Ghost Debt": IU misallocated my payments. I raised concerns months before the exmatriculation, sending bank proofs multiple times. They totally ignored me until they kicked me out and de registrated me.
They more or less admitted the error, but refusing to find a solution: seems like they can’t undo the status due to internal technical process limits.
Intentional Non-payment: I intentionally stopped paying for Jan/Feb only after it became clear that IU was ignoring my bank proofs and refusing to fix the misallocation. I refuse to pay into a broken system that "loses" my money and threatens my future.
Shifting Grounds: They changed the reason for my de-registration to cover up their clerical mistakes.
IU treats students as numbers and software bugs. I’m penalised due to over a "technicality." I have already reported them to ZFU and will not stop until I get justice. I expected the same accountability I offered but nothing.
STAY AWAY from this university if you value your money and your mental health.
Will keep until I get JUSTICE. Student ID: 10616133
Also: the standard response for anything you might have noticed is to email the address “ reviews “THAT mail has been in copy (CC) of all my communications for the last month. You have ignored my bank proofs, my audit, and my repeated warnings about your misallocation.
Stop asking me to send more emails to departments that ignore me. I have already provided the proof of my 32 payments multiple times. I don't need another 'review'; I need a Senior Manager to override your technical error and reinstate my status immediately. My Student ID is 10616133. Solve it.

I was having a challenge with knowing the next steps for the transfer of my MA program and Leone was very articulate and precise in showing me direction. We also compared modules so that I would know what my next decision would be.
I am very grateful and I am looking forward to our follow up session.
She listens keenly, asks the right questions. Answers your inquiries and where she can, shares the right resources needed for you to grow or make the best decision.
I highly recommend her.

his University Is a Complete SCAM AND USE-OF-NOTHING
This university is a pathetic excuse for an institution and an insult to anyone stupid enough to believe its marketing lies. Calling this place “higher education” is generous as hell—it’s more like a cash-grabbing disaster masters!!!
The administration is straight-up incompetent. TRULY ENOUGH QUALIFIED TO CALL THEMSELVES--> " DISHONEST", "POOR QUALITY", " Just dumb, lazy, and useless". They are running a so called an institution recognized by the German government but indeed these scam "uni" are just recruit big bunch of foreigners especially Asians to get bags of money and easy access to their useless poor quality education and organization.and 1 more important you could notice they provide a truly a low quality education and syllabus comparable to any other premier well taken care and well organized institution. moreover, every time you call on their number some st**** answer that they don't know, which is standard answer from them. not only that their student support had bunch of jokers(even worst). whith the same answer.
Not only from myself, the so-called b****d who are employed are totally white i**(you must understand) just to drag people's money with many lies. I have many proof from multiple resources, here as a victim and money scam from this fellow, I request people from anywhere especially from Asia to be aware of this IUBH!!! they recruit even you don't have ielts and grmn lang qualifictions. because they are just fooling around people with so called relaxed admission process, scholarship 80% even 100 % stu**** but in reality they don't provide proper distance learning support moreover, each one of the joker and useless people whom they had hired are just merely a no nuts, why I'm saying there are so-much of drawback in the entire system, from taking care of tutor quality exam quality, proctor stupidity and so much more!!!
Whoever Asian especially if you dreaming getting an European or German's well honoured education, definitely not this IUBH(shameless). you should understand this isn't fake/ or simply blaming , there are many complaints and unsatisfactory going on with this institution past 5 years and more. I request all of us should voice out against this institution and make them backlisted.
MY TRUE WORDS here is: You pay obscene amounts of money to be ignored, stressed out, and treated like a nuisance. You’re not a learner here; you’re a revenue stream.
This so-called recognized university are product of scam, with a dirty mind to attract and rob people. Rotten leadership, rotten systems, rotten priorities. Until it stops milking students dry and starts functioning like an actual academic institution, it will remain exactly what it is now:
a shameless, overpriced failure wrapped in fake prestige and empty promises.
