The best thing people can do is instead…

The best thing people can do is instead of complaining online or making a BBB complaint is to take those complaints to your state Attorney General office. Anyone who uses jpay has to agree to no class action lawsuits and has to agree to their rules which don't offer any coverage or safety net for users. They are not BBB accredited and there is really nothing the BBB, this site or any other rating site can do. But, the AG from your state can investigate them for their shady business practices and they have already been taken to court by multiple state attorneys and lost. The more people that make AG complaints and put this company on THAT radar the better for everyone.

Their visits are poor quality

Their visits are poor quality, pixelated, choppy, freeze, and disconnect all to frequently. I stopped purchasing the $7.95 video visits out of my own pocket and only use the 1-2 free monthly credit video visits jpay provides. Ive tryed various times earlier in the day in hopes the video visits will be better quality at a less busy time on the system, no, doesnt work. pls get your system together pls.

This is what J pay is doing they'll tell you that your letter has been censored all this and all that I do to whatever whatever but really all they're doing is just making money off us because they can't censor any email they want and we're gonna have to rewrite the email so we have to purchase more so let's say they centered one letter of mine today how many other people did they do for no reason they're getting over on people millions and millions o think they need to be investigated because they can sensor anything for no legitimate reason my twin brother has been at toldeo correctional institution in the infirmary for 6 days before we found out and no they didn't contact us or his next of kin then we find out that there saying the cos went in to try to help my brother and he started attacking them which makes no sense my brother is a level 4b inmate. And any co that interacts with him is suppose to make sure he's handcuffed before they open his door there in the wrong then when I'm sending joays to people in the prison to see what's qrong there sensoring them for no reasons the whole system is corrupt

SCAM!!!!!!

You pay and get nothing! You get emails saying there is a message, but no mail shows up. You pay and pay but the computer failures from there side sits at your cost. No refunds and no sympathy! There system has a malfunction and your money is taken! Simple as that!! Don't pass money to a loved one or pay for sending a message. Its like playing the lottery! If a message or money goes thru. You won. If not? It's lost!

Can't update the app. And Can't call to get fixed.

I don't like that it's telling me to update but won't update. I need to get ahold of my loved one and can't thanks to not being able to update the app and the only phone number I can find only takes payments. I already paid them for over 100 stamps but can't use them or get a refund and another alternative to this crap.

Censorship / steal money

Even though these are grown men and not children I was able to sort of understand why they don’t let twerking videos through. Which even then they’ll let another girl send full blown pornography but this latest block took the cake. it was literally a video of my brother singing a Beyoncé song from back in the day with zero profanity and they blocked it. So they can’t see booty or have their heart warmed by reminiscing?? What is approved? They don’t even tell you why it was blocked or any ground rules! What’s the point of offering video gram services if you block all video grams No matter what they are??? To steal peoples money? Because I did not get back the money spent to send those.

JPay needs to just shut down for good…

JPay needs to just shut down for good and go out of business. I’ve been trying to get my boyfriend’s music back for 4 months now and the manager is always so rude to me. He just refused to give this man his 2100 songs back that he paid for over the years because he lost music when he transferred facilities. The manager said oh we can’t refund him but, he’ll get his music back in 5 years on a hard drive when he gets released. Are you f$&$@!g kidding me? The manager is the worse which is why the company has gone to hell. They will be sued when he’s released.

JPAY - BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE

JPay does not refund email money and they charge way too much for Commissary money for the Jail system. FL is monopolized by JPay, so you have no choice. When my son was released, we did not get back $30 left on his email account. JPay makes a fortune off of the people in jail...the least they can do is pay back money not used. BAD BUSINESS

Worst Customer Service for a Company

I no longer send email or letter complaints to Jpay. Because they don’t respond to either. Also, Jpay’s special offers at Thanksgiving and Christmas are an absolute joke! As you never receive the credits on your account. And you have to keep fighting and sending email messages to ask them for the credit that they say they are giving you. But this is actually a ploy to get you to use JPay more. As Jpay let you think that you are receiving some measly credit to cover your pre-paid credit to your loved ones. This is a lie. As numerous people contacted Jpay to find out why they were not receiving the promised credits for their pre-paid credits. I now use JPay as little as possible. And I was once told by a Jpay customer service person that they had no connection with JPay, in spite of their number being listed on Jpay’s own website! To anyone, who many be reading this review, please note that there is a much better communication app called ameelio, and I have been using for 3 months. They are also actually free to send up to 2 postcards a week of up to 1000 words, or 2 photo cards of up to 100 words. And there is no charge for printing or postage, either.

I noticed that your CC structure not…

I noticed that your CC structure not only charges a person trying to send money to an inmate a Fee, but in addition it is ran and coded as a Cash transfer off the credit card resulting in additional fees to the people trying to send money. In addition Cash advance fees have no grace period thus starting interest charges immediately. So in essence you are punishing families trying to send money while lining your wallet and the credit card companies wallets from the suffering of others.

EX: Send $25 to an inmate. Your charge is nearly $7 in fees. Add the $10 Cash Advance fee (which it is not) and the $0.73 in interest on a 12 day window and you have forced someone to pay $42.73 just to get $25 to an inmate. Do you see anything wrong with this? I imagine most people do not know and this should become extreme public knowledge.

We need to organize a movement to force…

We need to organize a movement to force this company to either do business right or sell to some company that can actually do what we pay exorbitant rates for through JPay to do. I've had money stolen by JPay. They charge for video visits that can't happen because of equipment failures. They've blocked my accounts with no authority and every time I try to get help, I get treated very rudely and get hung up on because JPay doesn't allow customer service.

Jpay's Horrible Services

Jpay offers horrible services. Customer services never address issues submitted thru the online customer complaint form, drop calls, lost of emails, photo and videos not received, declining videos that doesn't violate the penal facility guidelines, non performance of video equipment or video visitations refunds or credits, the inability to communication via their receivers, and maintenance repairs to their kiosk located in various areas.
