The app is easy to use, I trust it, and unlike some other apps, your orders arrive with zero fuss. My only gripe would be the venders are adding on the Just Eat charges to their items. So using Just... See more

Closed my account

After years of using Just Eat have finally closed my account after a number of bad experiences. Takeaway delivery service is really bad these days. I understand this is the fault of the restaurants concerned, not Just Eat, but Just Eat’s response has also being disappointing.

Instead of taking up the issue with the restaurants, they instead choose to view the customer with suspicion for making ‘many claims’. All my ‘claims’ have been genuine, but of course the bad service must be exaggerated on my part. Maybe I am just very unlucky, but restaurants often deliver the wrong items or have items missing. I wouldn’t go to the hassle of complaining if it wasn’t genuine. Having worked in customer service and knowing how challenging it is, I feel it’s unethical to complain if it’s not justified

Food delivery is meant to be convenient but it’s now become more stress than it’s worth, chasing missing items etc. To be fair, the restaurant staff are no doubt understaffed and badly paid, which is an issue too. Today a pizza was missing from my order. Rang the restaurant, said they would deliver it, this was fine. They kept ringing to confirm my address and eircode, and then told me the driver couldn’t find my house. The rest of my order was delivered an hour before. They asked me to send my location. I asked had they WhatsApp (they were calling from a mobile) and they said they said yes. Tried to message them on WhatsApp and the number wasn’t there. I texted them, and they told me as they can’t find my house, they can’t do anything to help. I gave up, and submitted a refund request, and also ordered directly from another restaurant. The original pizza then arrived (freezing cold) so I cancelled the refund request by sending another message. Am convinced was dealing with a bot, or an agent who only knew his script, because they kept saying sorry for the inconvenience but they can’t compensate me. I replied again saying I have made it clear am no longer looking for a refund, but I wanted to make a complaint. The exchange was pointless. I have now closed my account.

If Just Eat had taken the time to check, they would have seen I order from an amazing Chinese restaurant frequently and I haven’t submitted any refund requests. Why? Simple!! This restaurant doesn’t screw up my order. I look forward to ordering from them directly in future

Very happy with service

Excellent website. I order from the same places due to being a little remote. I would love an expansion on providers but for the purpose of this review, I never have a problem with an order. Excellent service.

Disgraceful response from Just Eat.

Disgraceful response from Just Eat.
I ordered over €50 worth of food from Supermac's Maynooth. It arrived fairly quickly, but it was stone cold. I tried reheating it, but it just turned soggy and was completely unenjoyable, so most of it ended up in the bin.
I contacted Just Eat to raise the issue, and their solution was to credit my account with just €9.00. On a €50+ order, that's simply not an acceptable resolution.
Needless to say, I'll be ordering directly from restaurants in future rather than using Just Eat.
