We have used Kashflow since 2013 and…

We have used Kashflow since 2013 and been happy with it until this year, when for some reason a bug altered all our bank totals, and suddenly nothing added up - I had to go back through every year to 2013 to find the entries which were "corrupted" and delete and re-enter them. Absolutely no help from customer services who basically acknowledged there was an issue, said they would look into it and then complete silence from them - no help at all, no phone line to get any immediate assistance, so we cannot recommend them, and are currently looking at transferring to QuickBooks

Life is so much easier with Kashflow!

I am relatively new to accounting (just over a year). I did book keeping as part of my secretarial college course back in the late 1970's. I was struggling with SAGE due to no computer accounts experience. Then something amazing happened, the local computer repair company which we use introduced us to Kashflow! It is amazing, everything is in one place - accounts, estimates/quotes and invoices. There is always help if you need it too. Life is so much easier with Kashflow!

Subscription cancelled - avoid

Like many small businesses I was looking for a simple accounting package to help me comply with MTD. After a fair bit of research I thought Kashflow would do the job.

HOWEVER, after multiple attempts to connect and re-registering my VAT details with HMRC I still couldn't get the software to connect. As an experiment, I tried a free trial period with Sage, and it connected and registered successfully with HMRC within seconds, so I have cancelled my annual subscription with Kashflow.

Additionally, the Dashboard screen double counted my cash balance with the opening bank balance, so was completely inaccurate, misleading and useless.

To be fair I found Customer Service was relatively responsive, but the software should work! The second-line support person essentially gave up and told me to check with HMRC, hence my experiment with Sage.

Sage costs more but is way better and actually works. I'm annoyed that I have had to waste a whole year's subscription with Kashflow. Please do yourself a favour and avoid this painful experience.

Don't normally write reviews, but the support service is so bad with such a slow response time I felt compelled to post.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. The bank reconciliation doesn't work, it 'forgets' multiple transactions, stock management doesn't work, won't reconcile split payments, no way to automatically reconcile Stripe, I could go on... Avoid like the plague unless you like spending hours staring at a stupid progress bar.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service! There is no other way to contact support that via an online chat. Unfortunately, no one responds. I do not have time to wait for several hours for someone t answer my queries. People we got work to do! Kashflow seriously need to consider how they operate!!!

Like most of these online accounting…

Like most of these online accounting software packages, very user-friendly and at the beginning, the staff are very helpful. The customer service only gets worse, the lack of support when something goes wrong can take on anywhere between 2-5 days for a response. A bit like Argos you're given a number and told to queue, very frustrating when you have deadlines to meet and you only allocate certain days a week to the accountancy side of your business.

Avoid it, only costs you money, in the long run, I have now transferred to SAGE paying a bit more but hassle free and just as user-friendly.

Customer support absolutely diabolical

Customer support is absolutely diabolical. You cannot call them - they won't give you a phone number. You have to email them and wait for someone to call you, possibly days later.

They called back once, 15 minutes later than the agreed time, by which time i was doing something else. I could not return their call as I don't have a number and they have not rung back.

Absolutely useless. I would avoid them like the plague!

An absolutely shocking service. Not only is the software unfit for purpose as it is littered with issues preventing it being used, the sales and service teams are about as much use as a chocolate tea pot. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY

As useful as a chocolate tea pot - AVOID!!!

Kashflow is the worst accounting software I have ever come across, and has actually been an impediment to our business. It appears to be a fully integrated small business accounts solution, but in reality it is dysfunctional and requires significant manual intervention to keep up to date. The system has no conception of long term liabilities, and the stock management system is more time consuming and less useful than a spreadsheet. Get this - the single stock report in the system values stock on sales value, and stock management does not work without manual journal entries. The stock answer of customer service to anything vaguely technical is "you have to ask your accountant". This system firmly belongs in the category of selling a fridge to an eskimo!

Don't try their 14 day free trial

Tried their 14 day free trial, at the end of it I was going to create a subscription but the discounted rate wasn't available from my account but was from their website home page. I had entered a load of data and used my company email address so I wasn't keen on creating another new account from scratch. Talked to one of their sales team to try and get it resolved, I might as well asked a random person on the street. Sent multiple emails also, no reply - glad it happened at this stage when trying to create an account and not when I was fully using it. Terrible customer service, still can't believe this is how they treat potential new customers. Avoid, avoid, avoid

Awful company when you want to cancel

Awful company when you want to cancel. The help information does not work and as for customer service well that is TERRIBLE!! I have been trying to cancel my account for months. This phone number is only automated and the online chat is no help as they give you more WRONG information:

The most worst accounting software that I have ever used !
Chart of accounts are messed up, you can't restore KashFlow Online's backup in KashFlow Online, support is poor and I guess there is no point of it.

This company is a SCAM

This company is a SCAM.
They keep charging my credit card regardless I requested closing off the account with them and cancelling a contract.
The support sends daft questions to describe what problems I'm having with it regardless I had emailed them them three times.
They advised to log in and cancel the account but the creds I was given didn't work. Then they reset the password. Although the login button was still greyed out when tried to login with new credentials.
So asked again to cancel contract. They keep coming back with daft questions and refuse to close it off. And charge my credit card again and again, over and over! What a great disappointment!
People working over there and supporting that procedure should be ashamed judged and sentenced.
I'm fed up with them. Going to file in all Ive got on the to the Court of Law.

Just dreadful

Just dreadful. Support is woeful. Functions are ill thought out. If you have more than one account, you can't switch logins because the cookies aren't updated with last logout data (so you are near-permanently logged in to one of the accounts, a really simple bug which they have no interest in fixing).

Password reset is a joke, etc etc. You can't retrieve your username, you can't reset your password without it, even if you remember it the lockout means your password reset sends you to an inexplicably blank screen, support is literally part-time, so forget anything urgent if you get locked out!

Moving to an alternative ASAP
