Members of staff made my experience great. The attentiveness and the patients and dedication with helping me complete each task on the portal. I was very Impressed with Natasha George who was dealing with my file and was extremely helpful and was available via phone call or email and was very prompt in getting back to myself. Over all time scale was well realistic and was very clear.

Overall, we had a good experience with Key Conveyancing. They are a friendly team and provided a quick and efficient service. They are professional and you feel reassured that they will provide you with the advice needed.

The reason for the 4 stars is due to their communication at times. We received a price for one of their services by one member of staff, however when receiving our final statement, the price was higher which they therefore had to discount due to their miscommunication/errors. We also felt we were pestering the company for answers as we did not hear from them unless we contacted them ourselves for an update. The receptionist could never find our name or house address on the system which caused back and forth issues and it felt they tried to fob us off when asking to speak to our case handler which was very frustrating when we needed answers to our queries

I’ve had the most stress-free and easy experience! Sam has been incredible, not only did she ensure the purchase was smooth sailing, she was also lovely every time I had the pleasure to talk to her.

After I wrote the below review I was “requested” by Key Conveyancing via Trust Pilot to edit my review and exclude names of the solicitors whom I had mentioned had handled our case for reference on the grounds that it includes personal information and otherwise “the business may flag my review for further investigation if the issue isn’t resolved”!! A bit hypocritical since other reviews clearly include names and this seems to be OK by them!

I haven’t had any response nor explanations as to why our case was handled so shoddily but I have “edited” my review as per your “request” @Key Conveyancing out of sheer goodwill In the hope that others don’t suffer the same incompetence as we did.

Unfortunately for us the buyers of our property chose Key Conveyancing Solicitors and all parties suffered as a result including us, the buyer, the estate agents and our solicitors.
It took over 3 months to complete costing additional costs on both sides with rent and mortgage!!!!!!
Key Convyancing (KC) were instructed by the buyer at the beginning of November and we completed 30 January 2026!!!!!

From the outset KC didn't respond to emails from our solicitors and when the estate agent chased them they would say they have sent their queries.
Our lawyers confirmed they had not sent any queries and when they called KC the latter said they had sent an email in error and indeed they had not sent any queries!!! KC would say they will look at the file and respond - they didn't for a month!!!
KC said they never received their client's mortgage offer when the estate agent confirmed that was not the case.
We even had to sign the land registry twice as KC had omitted some of teh names of the buyers. KC never communicated the wishes of the buyer regards furniture.
The list of series of unfortunate events go on and too long to list here.....

I am shocked to see positive reviews on trustpilot for this company given our experience so it makes me think it must be pot luck who you get and how competent they are.
I know at least 3 different people dealt with this case so there was clearly no accountability - EDITED OUT

I understand that their fees are below average and such firms are known to be competitive to gain more business and individual solicitors take on more cases than they can service so they are under pressure. I don't think that is justifiable and ethically correct as we all have suffered mental and financial stress. To those solicitors we were just another case of many and no compassion to our situation.

I strongly advise anyone against using KC if you don't want to take a gamble on your luck and suffer as we have.

We generally found our solicitor helpful and responsive. Mukate was always available when we called which was refreshing. Would recommend this company.

I live abroad (US) and was selling my UK property. Key Conveyancing handled all the additional details that my absentee position dictated with no fuss. There were quite a few additional exchanges to deal with the logistics (plus, my buyer dropped out at the last minute... and then returned a few weeks later) but everything was handled efficiently with no additions. Communications were clear and the people at Key were personable and efficient.
I'd have no problem recommending Key Conveyancing to anyone selling (or buying) a property.

Key Conveyancing was brilliant for the the process of the purchase of my first house. Innocent and Ellie were brilliant at keeping me informed with everything I needed to know. Would definitely recommend!

We recently purchased a house using Key Conveyancing Solicitors, recommended by the estate agents we purchased from. Karis was an absolute saint throughout! We ran into some difficulties with the Estate agents multiple times throughout the purchase and Karis was on hand at every stage to offer advice and take over some of the communication for us. Karis was responsive and always one step ahead, meaning there was very little for us to do other than wait for her instruction. We called and emailed occasionally for updates (mainly from the sellers solicitors dragging their heels) but never had to chase Karis once! As soon as she had information, she shared it with us and explained everything thoroughly. I would sincerely recommend anyone looking for a conveyancing solicitor to use Karis. Thank you so much for helping us and being so lovely to communicate with throughout :)

Very good experience with key conveyancing. Always at the end of the phone which was very much appreciated especially as there were a lot of complications with the buyers. Always reassuring and answering emails promptly. A special shout out to Sienna, very patient and polite at all times.

Although I am the recipient of an equity transfer and not the client I know that I also speak on behalf of my ex husband in saying that this service was shockingly slow and inefficient (Kettering branch).

Despite a court order stating that I should be paid the equity transfer by a specific date and despite all documents having been in place for several months they did not seem to care about this fact at all. Very unprofessional and definitely would not recommend.

Thoroughly unimpressed.

They got a really efficient department focused on getting your business, and then it just goes downhill.

The only reason they get two stars and not one, is that the deal for my house finally went through, but it took NINE MONTHS of constant frustration.

On a couple of occasions their representatives outright lied to me, or simply didn’t know basic conveyancing process. The latter of course seems unlikely.

They made basic maths mistakes in documentation.

They repeatedly ignored my emails, questions and requests.

Nothing ever happened unless I phoned them to push issues.

They charged me for things they shouldn’t have, and then it took over two months to get the money back, while they simply blamed everyone else and acted like they were doing me a favour. In the end I had to instigate their complaints process with a view to reporting them to the regulator before I got the money back.

Based on my experience with they, I’d suggest steering well clear.
