Sent wrong bulb - no response to emails

Ordered a replacement bulb for our kitchen and found the exact one that matched the old one. Ordered it, but it took over a week to arrive. When I opened the packaging I found they had sent the wrong bulb. I had ordered a 4 watt 350 Lumin and they sent a 3.5 watt 250 lumen. Emailed them to request a refund on the 21 March and I am still waiting for a response. Surely if you order a bulb of a certain spec they should email you to confirm the bulb is no longer available or offer an alternative - not simply send you a near close match. Not happy and won't use these guys again.

Apologies for the delay in receipt, although we do quote 5-7 days for our standard delivery. This is quoted at the checkout prior to completing an order. In regards to a different lamp being sent - Manufacturers are constantly making changes to specs right now to ensure they get the lowest energy rating possible. This sounds like one that has slipped though. We would be happy to get these back for a full refund. We have not received any emails from you before seeing this review though. Issue Resolved - Great Customer Service

I had an issue with lamps ordered that failed very soon after use. Lamps2udirect could not have been more helpful in resolving the issue with the manufacturer annd supplying replacements. A big shout out especially for Martin top man. Product arrives well packaged and when they say it will.

Excellent Company all round

Having ordered items from L2U previously I needed help on a fresh order seeking advise on the items. Contacted L2U by e-mail (Martin) who was more than helpful. He quickly responded to my questions and so I was able to order the items. Communication thereafter, from both L2U (and the carrier) was excellent. Goods arrived sooner than expected. Well pleased .

GREAT SERVICE

I needed to replace the halogen fibre optic bulb in my Christmas angel. I've had it for over 35 years, I wasn't even sure if the bulbs would still be available.

I contacted Lamps2udirect, they asked me to send some photos of the bulb and they were able to fix me up with the correct replacement bulbs. They were so helpful.

The parcel was really well packed and it arrived at my home in France, in perfect condition. Thank you for the excellent service.

Slow delivery and all bulbs were broken upon delivery

Took 5 working days for them to dispatch my bulbs. When they arrived, all of the filaments were already broken. For a company that only sell bulbs, it is unacceptable and unforgivable that all of the bulbs were broken upon receipt. Waste of time - obviously returning for a full refund and will use another retailer that know what they are doing.

Great service

Had exactly the lamps I wanted in stock and at very reasonable price. These lamp units are getting harder to find as like most things they have been 'upgraded'
Order process was straightforward and goods were safely delivered in good time

AVOID AT ANY COST!!

I had a terrible experience with this company regarding an order of lights that unfortunately did not match my fittings as I misread the description provided. I had to return the item and incurred £4.50 in postage and an additional £3.50 for the return. In total, I ended up spending £8 without being able to use the product.

While I understand that mistakes can happen, I found the initial customer service response rather lacking in empathy. The guy called Martin mentioned that they receive around 20 orders per day for these items in his very first response, which felt somewhat dismissive given the situation.

In hindsight, I realised that ordering from a more established retailer like Amazon might have provided a smoother experience, with better return options and support. Only to save £2 per light, it’s not worth it!!!

Lastly, the return wasn’t easy! Royal Mail said the item was delivered on the 24th and Martin kept saying until the 29th that we have not received the item. Once I shared the screenshot of Royal Mail, he issued the refund and said the parcel was with our neighbour. What sort of business that sells 20 orders for one item each day gets their parcels delivered to neighbours and makes their customers wait for the refund?!!! He was trying his best for me to give up on the refund clearly, so they don’t have to issue the refund.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, Aman. We are sorry you ordered the wrong items and had to send them back. We have a returns policy that can be seen prior to ordering. We do actually note the dimensions of the product ordered in error, along with a diagram and block capital letters asking the customer the 'check dimensions before ordering' The goods that were ordered incorrectly were returned to the business next door to us. This sometimes happens and is not particularly unusual if Royal Mail attempt a late delivery. We confirmed receipt of the return on Monday and issued the refund immediately. It's difficult to see what we could have done differently here, but glad you managed to get a good deal on Amazon. Hopefully you ordered the right size this time.
