I ordered this brand new

I ordered this brand new, went to install and the top refrigerator doesn't work but the freezers work fine. Contacted Liebherr support, they said within 2 days they would schedule someone to come out. At two days still nothing, contacted them again. On day three they contact someone who they say will show up on day 4. Day 4 comes and goes no contact. I call them again on Day 5 and they say there was an emergency (this was a Friday). Monday the tech comes and works w/ Liebherr on the phone to diagnose, bad relay. Liebherr says they will ship one out and it will arrive in 5-8 days. I insist on over night since I have a 6k paperweight and I lost over $300 in food. They agree. The part comes on Thursday and the tech installs. On Friday its' still not working. I call Liebherr again, they send tech out. Turns out it's not the relay, it's the compressor. They will send out but it's past overnight shipping so it's Monday. I'm not at 16 days since I hooked it up with no working product. I have a family of 5 that has to eat out every day since we don't have a refrigerator. When I asked Customer service to please expedite my request and to schedule someone to come out on Sunday to replace they said they would do their best. When I said as nicely as I could that my patience was out and I really needed them to do better the rep said "so do you want to order this part or not?". I can't believe this is what is called service. This is not an entry level machine, it's hugely expensive and a vital part of our lives and I'm lucky if this gets resolved in under 3 weeks. I will never buy this brand again and would strongly suggest you reconsider if you're thinking of buying.
UPDATE: Today is day 20 and still no refrigerator. After 4 days of no updates on where the compressor is and when it will be installed I called support again. Agent said they would follow up and call me. 5 hours later still no call so I call again. New agent says the same thing, no return call. I call the next day and agent says the compressor was sent to CA, no WA but they would make sure it got to WA for install. The tech company that installs doesn't work weekends so best case is Monday for me. That will be day 24 for me. The lack of urgency is beyond belief.

Bought one of their fridge freezers…

Bought one of their fridge freezers over two years ago (out of guarantee now). Appalling design which means you have to completely defrost it every two months which if you follow their advice takes 48 hours. If you get this one, budget on getting a backup so you have somewhere to store your food whist it is defrosting. Also has the weakest magnet you've ever come across for the door seal.

Don’t buy leibherr if you live in a rural setting …

I purchased a very expensive Liebherr fully integrated fridge five years ago. We live in the country. Mice and rodents are part of where we live and it’s almost impossible to keep them out of the house. The fridge has broken 4 times as tiny mice can get on the sub board. It has cost a small fortune to repair the fridge and it’s almost impossible to find an authorised Liebherr service technician. Meanwhile my trusty Fisher and Paykel fridge ( for 1/4 the price) keeps on Keeping on. Don’t buy this fridge if you live in the country. It’s not fit for purpose.

Liebherr Customer Service experience

I recently bought a Liebherr fridge/freezer from Appliances Direct. When I opened the packaging the fridge door was damaged so I rang them for a replacement door - they said I could have a replacement fridge (so being left fridge less for a while) or an £80 compensation payment. I rang Liebherr Customer Services to find price and availability of a door the girl I spoke to said this when I explained the situation -“we don’t work like that at Liebherr - I will send you a new door and deal with Appliances Direct” - the door arrived the following day. I know this is controversial in light of all the negative comments posted here and I was as surprised as you are now. I have never had a customer service experience like this before.

Without a fridge for over 2 months

I've been without a refrigerator for over 2 months now. My Liebherr 2 door model stopped working after 9 months, the compressor. I'm still waiting for parts while using space in a couple of neighbor's refrigerators. I really wanted to like this fridge, but I'm worried that even if it can eventually be repaired it will break again. I understand that many standards are lowered during this very difficult time for the world, but at this juncture I don't know what to expect or when.

Liebherr HORRIBLE customer service

Our Liebherr freezer and fridge columns were the worst purchase we made when renovating our kitchen. First the water dispenser shorted out, then the ice maker stopped working, then it stopped working again and they replaced the entire mechanism. It stops working about every two weeks, So basically we never have ice. Now something is leaking inside the freezer and creating a river of ice on ever shelf, adhering our frozen boxes and bags to the shelves. I called two weeks ago, and was told a part would be ordered and my technician contacted. I spoke with our technician and he was not contacted. Upon calling Liebherr customer support again for more information I was told the person who ordered the part, Manny, would call me back as soon as he could. He never called back. It’s been a week and a half now and I have been told he will call me back when he can but other people need to be helped... never mind I needed help two weeks ago and have no idea what’s going on with the part to this freezer that is broken, ruining my food, and making it impossible to keep frozen food. I asked to speak to a different technician who could give me more information and I would wait on hold until someone could speak with me. He refused and rudely told me Manny would call when he could. Well after a week and a half, I wonder what exactly is taking up 100% of Manny’s time, making it impossible to call a customer who needs service.

I bought this Liebherr Refrigerator on…

I bought this Liebherr Refrigerator on 12 Nov 2020 invoice no ** thinking it’s a German product though new in the market, would be excellent. To my dismay and disappointment the Refrigerator stopped giving required cooling from the beginning of Feb 2021. It implies that within two and half months the money I spent seems has gone into the drain. I was given complaint number BD 020-40015 by the Help centre of Liebherr for the continuation of the problem registered on 3 Feb 2021. As per the technician he put it under observation and left. Today is the third day and no one cared to get back. I bought this product to not to add to my woes and misery. Please have the money refunded immediately. I don’t want to keep your product. Thanks.

i am very very unhappy with the service…

i am very very unhappy with the service that is provided by Liebherr due to the following reasons

i purchased the Liebherr fridge 11 months back, since last 8 months i have raised multiple queries and phone calls to customer care regarding water leakage from my duct and cooling problems of the fridge, i have always had a person visit my home for atleast 14 times in last 8 months but still the issue is not resolved.

every time a person visits he takes boil water and cleans the part of the heater where ice is covered and takes photos and reading of temperature and tells us that we will report you back but till date there is no solution (this has been done atleast 8 times), they have already changed the heater of the fridge but still water leakage issue persists from the duct which causes water to drop everywhere in the fridge and our food and vegetables get spoiled please watch the video.

from last 2 weeks the vegetable box in the fridge has been covered with ice this is rare too watch, strange but true and has been notified to the technician who visits our place

service centre issues - they always transfer to senior authorities but they are also depending on the R& D team for results despite of providing them photos and videos of leakage and water gathering in our bowl from last 8 months still there is no solution

Sad part is ASM, BSM, service technician all are aware of the issue but still there is not a single assurity of fridge replacement, this makes me feel for bad on my decision to purchase Liebherr Fridge.

i would request you to please replace the fridge within 5 days or else i will have to use the social media to answer my concerns on the product . I'm from Pune, MH, India

Liebherr fridge freezer

Recently my 12 year old Liebherr fridge freezer developed a fault and wouldn't restart. After some investigation I discovered by tapping the thermostat, it started working again. I got onto Liebherr Ireland to a lady called Orla who was extremely helpful and had a technician called Dave ring me to confirm that it was likely the thermostat. The new part was sent out immediately and after fitting it, the freezer works perfectly again so instead of having to spend €600/700 on a new freezer, the part just cost €50. The Liebherr is a quality German manufactured product and is of a much higher quality than other makes I have seen so all in all a very positive experience with Liebherr.

Fridge/Freezer started to make a loud…

Fridge/Freezer started to make a loud whine. Contacted Liebherr who recommended three engineers. Picked the best of a bad bunch. Engineer diagnosed the problem and said parts would not be available until after Xmas. I sourced them directly from Liebherr. Still waiting four weeks later for engineer to come back and fix the problem. Likely I will have to scrap the fridge and buy something better. Very poor product, poor customer service and very bad support from partners.

Worst fridge freezer

Purchased a liebherr fridge freezer on recommendation from salesman who said it was made by Miele. 14 months on fridge has packed in & after phoning liebherr been told that the engineers for my area won’t be able to do anything for 4 1/2 days. Asked if I could find my own engineer & was told no. Think that the freezer is starting to go now too. They won’t cover food lost even though it’s a fault of their product which in my opinion is still new. Will definitely NOT buy 1 of these again & will not recommend liebherr to anyone

I purchased a Liebherr fridge/freezer they are nasty products

I purchased a Liebherr fridge/freezer back in August. Upon receiving the unit, it appeared that the outer skin of the fridge door had lots of little dents in it, maybe around 50. Upon powering up the unit the compressor ran at 2 speeds, on the lower speed it isn't too loud and would eventually become background noise, but when it went up to the higher speed it made a clicking whirring sound, the specification says its noise output is 41db, this is nonsense, some nights in bed you could hear it. When the compressor returned to idle mode it made a massive thud and clank.

I reported all these issues to Liebherr within 24hrs and eventually about 2 months later they sent out an engineer as they would not replace the unit.

The engineer worked for a third party company who was very professional, he swapped the compressor over and the new door they sent to replace the damaged one was damaged too with a 50cm scratch. Within a matter of hours the new compressor was making the same noises, not quite as loud however when the compressor goes to idle mode now it makes the same thud and clank but also rattles the radiator grill at the back of the fridge.

Yesterday the engineer came back with a new door, which again had lots of little dents on it but not near as many as the last one, he stated that the outer skin of the door when its being formed takes on the shape of the material behind it. It is anyone's guess at this stage if this is true.

This company has offered no reasonable or satisfactory resolution to this, the problems were present from day 1, an all round terrible experience and awful customer care.

Avoid this brand at all costs, don't be fooled by the name and more expensive price tag, they are not good products and are made very cheaply. I wish I had of stayed with Hotpoint, genuinely 3 times the fridge/freezer of the Liebherr.

If I could give this a zero

If I could give this a zero, I would. We spent over $7,500 on a refigerator because we didnt want to deal with repairs after just a couple of years. It's been just over 3.5 years of gentle use, and our freezer has stopped working. It's been over three months and still waiting for a part, and of course, a part NOT covered, warranty runs out after 2 years. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. And Liebherr has NO CUSTOMER service. They push you off to the store you bought if from, and the appliance store pushes you right back to Liebherr. Nobody wants to deal or fix a Liebherr.

I hadn't checked Trust Pilot before I…

I hadn't checked Trust Pilot before I bought a Fridge and a Freezer from Liebherr - I chose the models because of the good use of space inside. I feel compelled to give my feedback in the light of all the negative feedback on this site. I initially had a problem getting them to confirm my warranty but can forgive them for this given Covid pressures etc. But because I got no response to my Registration I escalated this to the online supplier RDO (who I rate highly BTW). They were able to put my in touch with Customer Services (LCS) and Liebherr who immediately confirmed my registration. At the same time I wanted to escalate that the cosmetic strip that joined the Fridge to the Freezer was damaged on delivery. LCS were very helpful and responsive and put a replacement in the post immediately. Unfortunately it was damaged on the journey - so I re contacted LCS and once again, they were very helpful and put another replacement in the post straight away. I'm pleased to say that arrived quickly and in perfect condition this time. Just thought I'd share a rather different experience of this company and group of people. BTW - love my fridge and freezer too!

I have had my Liebherr Fridge Freezer…

I have had my Liebherr Fridge Freezer for just over a year and a half. The digital thermostat was not working and had to be replaced. The temperature of the fridge has been up and down. 3 degrees one day, 18 degrees the next. Called Liebherr to report the fault. They work with service companies in the UK, rather than having their own engineers. I went without having a working fridge all weekend and I was informed that it couldn’t be fixed until Friday. I phoned Liebherr back and was offered a repair from a different company on the Wednesday. This company came today. I was informed that the freezer door is faulty and it would take 3 weeks before it arrives from Germany. I phoned Liebherr again and I was told it’s a design fault requiring a new freezer door and a kit. I’m disappointed with Liebherr. I thought I was buying a premium product. It cost twice as much as cheaper brands. Save your money. Buy a much cheaper fridge. It’ll be as good and probably a lot more reliable!

Silly me -who knew the door bounces open and the alarm doesn't sound!!

This fridge freezer has been nothing but trouble since I bought it. No handles making opening it a feat in itself! Apparently it's my fault that the freezer door doesn't snap shut and this results in the fridge loosing its cool (and me!). I have thrown away enough food to fuel a small town including the post-Christmas goodies. I am now under instructions to turn off the freezer for two days (it's currently full of pandemic supplies). Avoid this brand and the bland servicemen who see the customer at fault for the poor design.

Liebherr Wine Cooler

I have owned a large Liebherr Wine Cooler for 9 years. It broke after 5 years and was repaired with Liebherr providing the parts and me paying for the labour plus a callout. It has now broken again and it is going to the tip. Not what I had expected for over £800 initial cost.

A truly dreadful experience

A truly dreadful experience. I have had approx 8 engineers in little over 2 years of owning one of their fridge freezers, its still NOT WORKING!! Nobody has taken charge of my case, keep getting passed to different people on the phone. Will never buy a leibherr product again.

worse brand on the market

worse brand on the market if you want to waste money and food this the best best brand very unreliable, I brought one few years agokeep breaking down and they keep repairing regularly, I am throwing food away regularly. Then they send new fridge freezer guess what same story keep breaking down with in a year. Im not wasting my money and time any more getting rid of this fridge and buying another one. All they giving me 50 £ ,food voucher. Keep away from this brand

Ordered Fridge Freezer

Ordered Fridge Freezer. Day before order they said they would not deliver downstairs. Advertised as doors reversible. Told this could be done at home. Instructions to do this incomprehensible as do not seem to fit model number and require non-standard UK screwdriver head. Their customer service were very unhelpful and blamed John Lewis.
